I remember Betty Supernaw well. I was born down the street from her old shop on N E Street, and lived in the Del Rosa area of Berdoo where she'd moved her shop. She made my roller skating outfit when I was a little kid in the mid 70's.
George really enjoy your stories my father-in-law who now is passed away was Damon Richie of Damon's custom paint in Brea he was good friends with von Dutch and actually painted the first version of Larry Watsons famous grape vine car just wondered if you knew of him from what I understand he painted a few bikes for the hells angels he also was in the car club the renegades keep the stories coming!
Joey Santos (Daly City) what a great mentor to me, clubhouse used to be located in Mountain View before San Jose had a charter. My mother married a Gypsy Joker, their clubhouse used to be located in Santa Clara right off Lawrence Expwy. A good read is Phil Cross’ “From Gypsy Joker to Hells Angel”. That’s real San Jose 1% history
Years ago I was driving down the interstate and 2 men on motorcycles passed me. One was a full patched Outlaw and the other one had Probationary Outlaw on the back of his jacket
In the group picture I remember the tall guy with the beard from the Rock Store from the middle 1970s he used to ware a red and white striped shirt under his cut
So George, i love listening to your reflections and stories about your life and adventures as an outlaw biker. i do wonder though if when you were asked to agree that the club comes before family that if you said nothing comes before my family if they would have given you another chance. You obviously have been vetted, proven yourself numerous times to be capable of the life and the Mafia has a similar agreement. I was asked to join a club that was a let's say a support club of the 81. I considered it but at the time had a BMW R75/5 which i loved and was told i would have to get a harley and also agree to similar conditions. I had four daughters at the time very young and a good job and told my friends to forget it. I didn't realize i would be ostracized afterwards and even guys i trusted and always treated fairly avoided me just because i chose to ride as a lone wolf lol. Anyway, just a question, any real man of course puts family first if you have a family. tom in maine.
As a former Outlaw, I can tell you its probate(short for probationary member). Only time someone is a prospect, is if its an entire prospective chapter. No one is a pledge
George, what was your reaction the day when you heard that Jerry died? I was driving in my truck and heard the news come over the radio, and I was in tears.
I remember Donnie talk about Betty said she made the Patches said Her old Man was a 1%Er . Long time ago Now . Cant remember what Donnie Said Happened with Him Donnie Might Not have said .
The little poker party's upstairs , are legendary , and the coke that was either base was really good. compared to what came alone after The U S gov ruined it by making any U S made Persa cures illegal.
What's up Mr Christie follower from Sweden. Saw you the first time on a short movie about 'if I was the President of the US'. Just wanna ask I remember a video about this old Biker named Barry Mayson he said he was an Angel in the 70s. Have you heard about him n was he telling the truth?
I have listened to quite a few of Christie’s stories , compared to mine and others lives in two different MCs his stories borderline boring and lame at best , there’s nothing exciting , original or inspiring about this story or others I have listened to , if I was a young aspiring potential MC member his stories wouldn’t encourage me one bit , as opposed to the real deal , who are still living it , having fun riding their bikes and partying not sitting in front of his fire in his comfy chair telling boring tales
You didn’t know Pete Page the president who started the Dailey City chapter. I think he left a few years before you got in. I know he went and started a family in Fremont.
