Mid seventies I was 10 years old and I remember getting into bikes; I traded for old ones and cut the front forks off and made my first chopper! Listening to this gentleman talk reminded me of the great times I had back then it’s hard to believe life has gone by so quickly.
A great view of the 1970's bike culture ... for me, the 70's was a time of change in many ways. I was still in the Navy and returning to San Diego from Connecticut Submarine Base. I was riding but not versed in the Outlaw culture at the time. Now 73 years old and still on two wheels ... Cheers
Thank you once again, George. I really look forward to your talks every week. God bless you, george and god bless your family. And may the wind always be at your backs
Back in the mid sixties we were running Sportster CH's with 21" front wheels, cut down fenders and 40" straight pipes. We looked down on bagger riders. Referred to baggers as N---ger bikes. Those were the days. Now days I ride a Road Glide and love it. How times change.
Ha thats funny. Baggers are still popular in the black communities. I love the sporster persoanlly espically the older models like the iron head. Old for me. Im in my mid 30s but I really want a 80s iron head sportster with low apes spoke wheels. I love the kick start and chain drive. I hear they are temperamental.
I was in Lemon Grove when the bomb at the funeral home went off, I remember hearing it and I think I remember feeling the concussion, I believe it was in a Rambler station wagon
The Mongols had no desire or reason otherwise to have a state rocker. This was at a time when they were trying to grow & get their name out there. They knew that conflict with HA was the type of notoriety they were seeking & the state rocker was the easiest fu for them. Strictly a power move!!
A long way away from drinking some beers around a campfire, being yourself and having great fun with people that have the same take on life in general. You’re saying you’re not a philosopher but you’ve became one bud. Lots of things happened to philosopher about.
seems like the angels having to shrink to rules the bay didnt is how the socal chapters had to fight with one arm pinned behind their band and lose alot of ground because of the 50 mile rule. at one time all of la county was theirs. they lost venice, south gate, sgv and pasadena where they were thick in 1965.
Hi George greetings from Ireland. Listened to your Tait episode recently and I know from reading some stuff that one of the people who got put away over him was Kenny Owens. Not much about him online . Any chance you might do an episode on him sometime.
He also recorded a phone call discussing club business. If he’d record this and show the club wat else is he recording or taking notes of? Bad business going into a war with recordings for a fed indictment
From what I understand the Mongols were started largely as a response to the HA by guys that weren't allowed to become Angels so there was animosity there from the beginning.
Also sounds like ray mightve purposely allowed the other guy to walk circles around him especially knowing it’s recorded. Smart not to incriminate himself but to incriminate the clubs
Interesting story. I've known some 1% club members from two big So Cal clubs and they were really cool guys, you probably know these dudes too. I just don't get why anyone would want to sign up for that lifestyle where you're put into situations like that that could end your life or freedom, not to mention so called brothers offing you and cremating your body...
Is this another vid of George trying to convince us he was the biker diplomat and not the gangster drug dealer? At least he admits now that his “brother” Jesse was murdered. Probably by his “brother” Tommy.
alot of angels patches are copied by the off brands like wings=mustaches. why call your self enemies with bad copies of the originators. comes off like the village people.
Thanks Gus ,it's nice listening to old stories.

Yep ... we're about the same age . It sure did fly man.
The days go slow but the years go fast.
The days go fast, the nights go fast, the years go fast, the decades……… Way too fast
@@jonnytlong The older you get the faster they go.

Amen, a little respect goes a long way with most people.
Thank you George!! Hope everything is going well. It's always good to see you. Have a nice week!!
George , your the man , a true legend, as always great story , true bikers are like Viking warriors.

Great story George, very interesting thanks for sharing your experiences
Another great podcast brother!
I was in Lemon Grove when the bomb at the funeral home went off, I remember hearing it and I think I remember feeling the concussion, I believe it was in a Rambler station wagon
East county in that era was a very dangerous place & time to be a biker.
Love this series George, thank you for sharing my friend👍🏻
I'm 70 now started at 17 and I feel the same way you do and people think I'm crazy I'm just the world has changed. It's very hard
Respect is earned. George more than paid his dues to earn respect.
Are you serious you must be partially retarded. How the f*** do you say somebody's earned respect when they're on TV ratting everybody out
It's about the pride😮 Like any other lion pack... Not the pride of sin, not the sin of pride... The real pride
Terrific video.
Important history from the horse's mouth. I'm a full time biker since the late 70s. I remember hearing about a lot of this stuff over the years.
The Mongols had no desire or reason otherwise to have a state rocker. This was at a time when they were trying to grow & get their name out there. They knew that conflict with HA was the type of notoriety they were seeking & the state rocker was the easiest fu for them. Strictly a power move!!

THEY SURE HAVE THE NUMBERS NOW...PRES. THEY ARE EVERYWHERE...
Another great episode Mr. Christie . You definitely don’t look 75 years old sir

Ray would’ve been kicked out bad for taping a meeting in our club. I’ve seen guys kicked out bad for writing stuff on paper. 🏍️💨🏁
Could you please tell the story of you and Taco Bowman and what transpired?
Hi George greetings from Ireland. Listened to your Tait episode recently and I know from reading some stuff that one of the people who got put away over him was Kenny Owens. Not much about him online . Any chance you might do an episode on him sometime.
The name was Maravilla that was the national president of the Mongols.
Its a different world now George, but the one thing that still remains is that word, Respect, strange how it resembles Prospect.
One thing that will never change is that as soon as these dudes take the patch off and sometimes even before they're ratting everybody out
🤙🤙
What year did HAMC start wearing the State bottom rocker. If there was?
He also recorded a phone call discussing club business. If he’d record this and show the club wat else is he recording or taking notes of? Bad business going into a war with recordings for a fed indictment
During this time was there any mongols that became hells angels?
No never

Re the California rocker, some people feel the same way about Old Glory and the despicable blue line version that police are fond of.
Mote villa is primarily a Philippino name.

2000 lbs.?
Why didn’t you get rid of the last 12 18 members who left from the war why did you let them get this big
Is this another vid of George trying to convince us he was the biker diplomat and not the gangster drug dealer?

MONTAVILLA was a real person and he's passed
Why did you endanger two lives to get the bomb.
Whrut dratt...........cant hears yous .....speak little louders please! 😊

He is no longer a HA.....why is he still talking about the past ? What about omerta ?
Omertà is the mob. He’s out he can say whatever he wants to a point
Because he is not in the mafia you banana. Hells angels literally ride around with a patch on their back totally opposite of omarta
You just answered your own question he is no longer a member it's his story to tell. he was involved
He can speak forever he is George Christie
