I remember early 80s in Canada they were still making us practice getting under the desks in the schools. Worked out for me in the end as I ended up taking the opportunity to tongue kiss with my first girl. Excellent interview George!
I couldn't agree more, patient observation skills without personal feelings is pretty much a crystal ball of sorts. Great stories as always, much appreciated.
My older brother joined the Corp the next day after graduating H.S. I remember him as a kind kid, would give someone the shirt off back. He returned from Nam in 68 after two tours. When he came home after fulfilling his duty, he was a crazy mf. There was no resemblance of his former self. R.I.P. Wally.
Thanks George / enjoy ur content / have followed ur career. Look forward to ur future vlogs!!!! Think u we’re done dirty, G. U gave ur life to the club!!!!!! 🦅🏍⚒☠️⚡️👍🙏👊😎Had a partner who had been in the Marines, & he rode of course; told me the corp. taught u just enough to get u in big trouble!!! Lol 😂
Hello George, I'm very glad for seeing you on RUclips. I ve recently finished the exile on front streets. Very very enjoyable book , i loved the way you're writing. Solid job. I guess the most of your viewers waiting your opinion about this HD situation. My greetings from Greece
I relate to the hate I had for marching. I was army. I’ll be damned if I joined to learn how to march. That’s not at all why I joined. I still remember that DI’s name. I called him out. He showed up with five other DI’s in the back of the barracks. I knew he was a chicken shit. As he was acting like a tuff guy I pointed up. Four platoons of my brothers looking out the window.
It’s a hook! The 9to5… I’m 55.. no kids, I at least was that smart, every single buddy had a kid n the chic takes off n the dudes are so broke I’d have to give them a dollar for their cup at every house keg party! I saw what having a kid got you, straight broke n bitter so al least I avoided that 💩 but I would have liked to have 1 or 2 in my late 30s or 40 but hey man I woke up 1 day n now I’m 54 yrs old. I wasn’t the man at that time to have a child n have a kid n raise them right.. hell man I’m still a kid! But.. the 9 to 5 trap did get me! Paycheck to paycheck survival man, just like most everyone else. It is what it is. No regrets ✌️🇺🇸
Great episode, especially since my son just started training with the Marines to qualify for OCS school which the plan is to start next summer while he’s still a student at FSU. The thing that concerns me is that the military in general has become so “woke” it’s insane! Definitely not the Corp that you joined Mr. Christie. Nevertheless, I’m extremely proud of my boy. He has old school values and an incredible work ethic. Thanks for sharing your incredible life story. Have been loving your content.🫡🇺🇸
can you talk about the urban myth that socal chicanos cant join the 81 and how dudes who identity as sureno get treated as an angel when they run with the south inside.
"I went back to the Marines, and he went San Quentin".

I enjoy Marine Corps stories. It reminds me that I was not the only one that had crazy times. Semper Fi George.
