I think these look like a great product! Do they survive tire changes when installing new rubber? Or do they have to be purchased again? Very simple and cool solution to curb rash!
This looks good just as a finished product for the hubcap. I’m assuming the ring comes off without any issues if the cap has to be taken off for any reason.
This is a great question. If you're asking about installing these "behind" the hubcap, you would not need to remove them when removing the hubcaps. However, if you're planning on installing them directly ONTO the hubcap, I am not certain if the fitment would be exact.
In this profile of wheel the protective guards are not at the furthest point of the wheel, a high curb will still take out the spokes, why don't you use a straight edge to show the protrusion of the wheel to the curb
Great observation and suggestion. Yes, if an owner runs up on a high curb, they could still damage the spokes further inward. I believe that EVOOOR created these to protect the edges, where most damages occur. They do offer another protector that I will review that does protect further inwards.
@@natereid4497 Thank you for your valuable input. From my research, Tesla did not change the rim setup on the 24' MYP. Even their site list the rim as standard across all years of the MYP. I'm not sure why yours does not fit. Maybe you can request a new set?

@@joshuacstorlie I have not tried a tire change, but from watching tire changes in the past, I do not believe these would survive.

Probably a dumb question, but will these definitely be good for the new 20 inch warp wheels on the performance model ?
I had a chance to examine the 20" warp wheels. In my opinion, I believe this edge protectors *might* work as it's basically covering the very edges.
do these also work for the 2024 model y's?
If you have the same rim setup, this will work.
Negative they do not fit my 24 y performance they are like a MM off and do not fit very frustrating they are just a hair to small
