    These are FANTASTIC.....easy application, cut to fit, and 100% prevent curb rash. Saved me numerous times !

      "easy application" let me laugh the fuck out of my soul about this one.

    These are great and superior to the DIY "glue on" versions sold on Amazon and elsewhere. I would say these require a moderate amount of skill to install, assuming you have access to a lift. It is critical you follow the directions and tapping schedules precisely. I would budget a bit more than and hour for most people who will only do this once.

    What happens if I have to change the tire when it gets too old or worn out? Does the rim protection then remain on the rim?

    • @alloygatorofficial
      @alloygatorofficial  Год назад +1

      Yes, you are able to change your worn tyres without having to remove the AlloyGator 🛞🐊

    Hi, the rim on Tesla model Y actually protrudes about a quarter inch and hence, is prone to curb rash. Can I put this on without deflating the tire in that case? I can see quite a bit of the inside of the rim by virtue of the design.

    • @alloygatorofficial
      @alloygatorofficial  Год назад

      Hi, unfortunately you can't do it without deflating the tyre, the fitting instructions should be followed exactly. First we'd recommend checking with the suitability gauge, especially on Model Y as not all the wheels are compatible.

      Grit gets in-between and rubs off the wheel laqour, and then it slowly corrodes . It's happened to me i didn't clean them enough

    • @alloygatorofficial
      @alloygatorofficial  9 месяцев назад +2

      @@welshpoolreg1 It's important to keep machine polished wheels clean, with or without AlloyGators as, as you say, grit from the road will over time, cause corrosion. Machine polished wheels when they sustain damage can only be repaired a couple of times before they are scrap - installing AlloyGators won't prevent corrosion but it will help prevent costly repairs and replacements!

    You seem to ignore the fact that the wheel will now need to be rebalanced.

    • @alloygatorofficial
      @alloygatorofficial  11 месяцев назад +1

      The AlloyGator adds an equal amount of weight around the full circumference of the wheel as demonstrated in our video here. Previously balanced wheels do not need rebalancing after fitting our product ruclips.net/video/urQVZJ2KJlU/видео.html

      Also depends on the vehicle. I have 21in wheels on a Tesla and it is insanely easy to get curb rash. We're talking small lips in the road almost doing me in. These types of devices save me time and having to worry about little things like small potholes etc.
