Your the first / only instructor that suggests Teeing the ball high and forward, and tilting your shoulders are not the only solutions. I make solid hits, right in the center, right above center on the club face and produce a high tee shot - yet ball still has excessive spin (in my case 4k !). All indications show my swing path is fine. I suspect something happens at impact (maybe hands) that produces the excessive spin. I’d be grateful for Any suggestion. Best wishes J
Alistair I love your vids, but I think around the 10:40 mark where you repeatedly swing back and forth showing the upward strike and “push” out of the ground, it would have been great to add “whilst still transferring your weight on to the lead foot through the strike”. Some inexperienced golfers could misconstrue your motion there as leaning back, to the point where they end up hitting with most of their weight on the back foot. Cheers mate
Hi Cameron, appreciate your point, would probably prefer if there was a fault with the driver it would be to favour the back foot, too many golfers have too much weight on the lead side too early. The will be weight on lead side though for sure. Al
Alistair Davies - yes, golfers like me until recently! Was thrusting hips forward way too much to start the driver downswing, and was causing it to spin up terribly. Working hard on keeping in posture, staying low for longer and rotating more without that overdone lateral shift. Cheers
Hi Alistair, when I do this I feel like I lose club head speed. I don't have the luxury of Trackman but I don't think my spin is high. When I think about rolling the wrists my hits go further but higher level of inconsistency. Could you tie in a video that touches on spin and club head speed?
@@adaviesgolf thanks Alistair, I'm obviously adding loft through impact with too much cup in my left wrist, my angle of attack is up but what matters I guess is dynamic loft
One of the better videos I've seen on how to hit the driver.
Thanks 🙏
Had to come back to this video to remind me of the extra roll I needed
Ive been watching and using your tips for about 3 months. Since I applied many of them my game improved by 15-20% in average. Thx
Great to hear! Well done 👍
Thank You! Very good explanation of how to reduce spin.
Thanks 🙏

Hi John, I would look at your dynamic loft/ spin loft and try and get more shaft lean
just watched the video and subscribed. great video and simple explanation please keep it up
Thanks Norman
Great video! This helps. Thanks for making the video
Thanks
good
Subbed as a thank you.
Thanks
Been working on this for a while but your info helped it “click” much better for me-great vid, sub’d
Thanks Matt 🙏

Hi Warren will do
What is the app on your mobile device?
It’s trackman app
You say lead wrist bowing but where do you then get your club speed from
Arm and body rotation and torques

The cupping affects all those things for sure
Thanks for taking the time to reply 👍
No problem
