    When I started working w Stuart 2 years ago I didn’t even carry a driver in my bag as I couldn’t hit it.
    Today (2/1/23) I shot 81 at my home course off the back tees (6754 yds).
    Practical advice and great drills that you can take from the studio to the range onto the course and see immediate results. Can’t recommend highly enough - the numbers speak for themselves.

Golfers invariably think the are “idiots” when they can’t apply the advice, there’s usually a strong reason why you can’t apply the advice. You definitely NOT an idiot! Great video 👍🏾 This is exactly what I have been working on at the range for the last 2 months or so, but rather than using the left hand to lead I have been using the right hand to dominate the downswing and feeling like I am pushing with the right hand in order for the clubhead to pass the hands at impact. This stops me flipping the club which is what I was finding when I was using the left hand as the dominant hand in the downswing. (Hope that makes sense 😅)

    • @GoodGolfCoaching
      @GoodGolfCoaching  Год назад +1

      Makes total sense; make sure you feel the left shoulder sit down as you let the club swing for even more club face stability and head swing speed! Enjoy 😊

I’m struggling with this I have feeling it has to do with attack angle or feeling like since it’s a longer club being more patient in the transition phase.

    • @GoodGolfCoaching
      @GoodGolfCoaching  Год назад +2

      Hey Ant - Depending on the flight a golfer is looking to create will depend on the continued speed of the handle, to create “low” - “medium” or “high” flight characteristics in unison with the ball position and club being used. Driver is far simpler, ball forward, pull hard and let it swing. High flight, low spin and maximum club speed. HTH 😃

    Great advice this is what I needed and will try as I have always feared closing the face and duck hooking it, so I end up pushing it as you explain. • @GoodGolfCoaching

      It depends if you want a high or a low flightier shot. Make it swing like the driver for a high flighted shot, but don’t expect a divot. Reduce the swing affect for lower ball flights and more divot. Hope that helps. 😊

    • @GoodGolfCoaching

      It’s usually around the right leg where the energy transfer should take place, this is also the area where grip pressure get really tight, so if you fail to start with, keep gripping light and keep stopping the handle and use a video camera to see how your doing in your practice swings. Can this philosophy be used for the irons swing too?

    • @GoodGolfCoaching
      @GoodGolfCoaching  11 месяцев назад

      Gosh absolutely; it’s essential the golfer appreciates the AoA and it’s fluid state from Pitching Wedge to Driver. Ball position does take care of some of it, but the other part must be placed on awareness in the transfer of energy. Hope that helps Best Wishes Stu 😊

    Hi Stuart.
    Another corker of a video - thank you ! Right at 5m 47 in this video, "release phase", is an issue with which I'd love to see a detailed video if you have one ? (I'm working my way through your content and so may not yet have discovered the appropriate video).
    Due to misinterpretation on my part from previous coaching on impact drills, I feel that I do not properly understand how to enable this piece as the "forearms don't rotate / keep the hands ahead / lead wrist bowed at impact" concept is so (incorrectly) ingrained that I'm missing a major power source as well as making my tiny brain think it's got to find that missing power through the arms (spoiler alert - that doesn't, and leads to horrible swings esp. with the big dog !).
    Thanks in advance for any insights :-)
