Great video and discussion about Lena and Germany. You have made me love Lena even more by highlighting how lovely she is and how she respects and embraces Eurovision. Looking forward to seeing many more videos about past winners and songs that didn't win.

In the spring of 2010, a radio station here in New York City played Satellite to give an example of what was popular at Eurovision that year. It was totally off-topic. I listened to this radio show for eight years (2004-2012) and it was the only time the host mentioned anything with Eurovision. I fell in love with the song and became a big Lena fan. I watched Eurovision 2010 and every year since. Eurovision has become one of my favorite interests. And thanks to Wiwibloggs for making Eurovision a great part of my daily life. All that happened because one night I heard Satellite on the radio!
Fact: Since 2004 there have been only two occasions in which an automatic finalist won. I'm talking about Greece 2005 and Germany 2010.

This is the year I fell in love with ESC and with Lena! I like most of her songs, especially Traffic Lights and If I wasn't your daughter. Lena, Epic Sax Guy and mAnga will always hace a special place in my heart ♥️

Great song, great performance. Then along comes Stefan Raab a year later and BAM - my favourite Eurovision performance EVER is his total makeover for the 2011 Finals opening. THAT'S how you know it is a great song.

When she won I actually cried cause I disliked the performance (for some reason I was mad 'cause it was too simple lol) but soon after I became a huge fan and I still am. Have seen her live twice. Her music is amazing.

One of my favourites this decade and such a sweet and cute pop song, I totally love this one and listen to it loads to this day! She's also part Estonian, which was cool when I found out!

The thing with the contest is that, while it's easy to fall in love with it, everything in between can get any artist feel lost, with all the endless and often repetitive interviews, ,the tiring rehearsals as well as the pressure to do well.
And that ain't good for someone with a health condition that could kill you at any given time.

And why it always has to be some shitty ballad? As soon as is touches the hearts of the people, it is a deserved win. You can touch people's hearts also with happiness instead of sadness or other feelings and that's something that Lena's song will always do. Its catching the audience and makes you want to move.

I’m in the minority here. I like Lena, but I have never liked Satellite nor her follow up Taken By A Stranger. I can’t connect with these songs at all. Germany 2010 and Azerbaijan 2011 clearly the weakest songs of this decade.
Horrible song. Terrible singer.. I ask me how this girl had got the possibility to sing between millions of very good and professional singer. Perhaps is she a member of an influential family and she had got this possibility. But also if you like her she isn't really a good singer. And she hasn't 'charisma'. A person without something special. A little pupil without meaning

Keine Spur wird sie in der Welt der Musik hinterlassen. Sie kann vielen gefallen aber sie ist definitiv keine Künstlerin. Benenne bitte etwas, ein Stück von ihr, dass man Kunst benennen kann.
