    When they grabbed a safety in the second round I was a little disappointed, thought they had other positions with greater needs, and I trust Sean McDermott to develop safeties (and so figured they could have gone 3rd-4th round at safety). Now you’ve got me excited to see what he can do! Thanks for the breakdown

      I felt the same way, but also after seeing how excited McDermott and Beane were when Bishop fell to 60 it’s hard to be against the pick. Nobody knows safeties like McDermott does and he’s never even had a top 100 pick to work with. I was pretty content with our secondary as it was, but we did lack a true playmaker on the back end so hopefully that’s exactly what Bishop can become. The spine of the defense with Taron, Milano, Bernard, and now Bishop should be stellar.

      I believe through observation that they have said and shown us that they follow their board, and need doesn't dictate the pick it influences picks, but their board is their board. Draft the talent, develop the skill.

    Thanks for this, great job. Love this guy, he will be a star. BTW, not sure why anyone would be giving you flak. You're the best at what you do as far as Bills analysis is concerned!

    I love that second play. Btw, I think part of the reason #22 dropped it is he heard the footsteps. But that play shows an overall athleticism and in this case, a closing speed, we haven't had at that position. Love Hyde and Poyer. They were the keystone of a top 5 defense for 5 straight years. But it was time to get younger and more athletic.

    New to the channel. Dudes are making some great points. Cole... I was watching films and I was wondering the pic. But I like his size and speed combo. He will put a hurting on average wide outs. He also has a nac for the ball looking at his films he knows where the ball is going. He's not going to be a house hold name this year but I would not be surprised in the next two to three the league will take notice.

    I’m glad they got a DB with speed.. Hyde and Poyer although they are great at what they do. I kept seeing in games them getting out ran, allowing for big gains or TDs.

    If Cole is able to start, does that mean he’s knocking Rapp out because they are similar styles (better around the LOS) or do you think the two can play at the same time and Edwards would be out?

    • @mathieuguillet4036
      @mathieuguillet4036 Месяц назад

      I would assume we would see Rapp and Edwards, at least at the beginning. But Bishop will have the chance to earn the starting role. It should be a healthy competition at safety.

    I know the concept for the O-line for the USC clip is to go low but man…they freeze it and all of them are just bellies on the ground looking back at their QB get rushed into making a Hospital throw lol

    Ok i need a breakdown of usc offensive line now. The ball gets snapped and they all fall in the dirt. I havent really seen that before. How do you block on your stomach.😂 they all just fell forward. Didnt even make contact with the d line. Strange play to watch. 79 is actively trying to trip his guy. The RB is the only one actually blocking someone. My brain is confused.

    • @Cpatel217
      @Cpatel217 Месяц назад +1

      Its supposed to be quick hitting throw over the middle to one of the crossers. So the point is not really to block, just delay the DL and buy their QB just enough time. At the same time, the QB has better visibility as his lineman are on the ground.

      @pnwdweler4100 I said muscle, not pounds. Also, Poyers knowledge and skill at the position ends any comparison between the two.

      @@markc.1816 How much body fat do you think Bishop has? The kid is pure muscle and is 10lbs heavier than both of the previous safeties. Will he add additional muscle mass, probably, but let's not act like he's lighter in terms of muscle than the previous safeties.

    • @markc.1816

      @@pnwdweler4100 In fairness, he's a bit taller than both of them too. I don't know if you remember Eric Weddle when he played at Utah, but let's compare Ute DB to Ute DB. Is he over or under Eric Weddle as a collegiate defender, bitzer and tackler?

    • @pnwdweler4100
      @pnwdweler4100 27 дней назад

      @@markc.1816 Weddle was a beast and Bushop’s stats are very similar. I think Weddle had 78 tackles his best year and Bishop had 83. Hard to compare overall stats since Weddle played all 4 years and Bishop skipped his senior year to enter the draft. Hard to know if Bishop will be anywhere near as good as Weddle in the NFL, but let’s hope.
