Hi you two, it's good to see you're both safe. I am sure all your followers completely understand the toll van life can have on your morale and overall mental health. I would watch your videos whatever style or mode of travel you chose. I watch your videos because I can really relate to your passion for travel and the fact that you are both so likeable. I am glad Tom is over his Covid. I am really excited for the next chapter in your adventures and thank you for taking me along. Take care and stay safe.
Thank you so much. What a lovely message. I am feeling much better thank you. we are really excited for this next chapter, and think we will be back in the van again with renewed vigour!
Covid can be a life changing illness. I know. I got it very early in the pandemic and, because of that and my age, I now have a terminal illness. Just saying ! Many people choose to shrug it off. Glad you're over it without any repercussions. Keep the videos coming. Best of luck !
You guys are brilliant!! It’s not easy to share so much of yourselves… Burnout is very real and it’s so important to listen to yourselves and each other… I live in Ireland and got hooked on your vlog when ye were on the Wild Atlantic Way.. The vlogs are excellent, stunning views, info about ur locality and just love the way you go off the beaten track! I look forward to your next adventures… but for now please give yourselves a huge clap on the back for the great channel you’ve created so far 💪😍… thank you 👏
The change in your voices and in your energy when you’d made the decision to switch things up a bit was palpable! You need to do this!! I think we really need to normalise van life as an actual way of life, not just an idealistic dream. If you guys lived in a house no one would think twice if you went off travelling for a few weeks to chase new horizons and find some adventure. You live full time in La Bamba and so why not go on a trip and have a break from your new normal. I think there’s a lot to be said for purpose too. We couldn’t travel without a sense of purpose or direction and having a goal motivates you to achieve something. I could chat about this forever so I’ll stop now, but we are SO excited for this new chapter, no matter how long it may be. Safe travels you beautiful pair, our lips are sealed 🤫 😉 xx
Onwards and Upwards …Cabin Fever is no joke the psychological symptoms that a person may experience when they are confined to their home for extended periods, restlessness, irritability, and loneliness are hard to deal with there is no shame in it you both did remarkably well! It’s always good to mix it all up and follow your dreams you are two beautiful people and the best is yet to come xx
I think it's totally normal to go through what you're going through at the moment. Excited for you both to be doing something different - best of luck with the new adventures and looking forward to new videos.
Izzy, you keep your light alive! Exercise, sunshine, nutritious food…whatever it takes, it takes work, and you need to suck it up lady!😊. Tom needs you, you need you, the world needs you…you’re a special lady. And you’ll be just fine!❤️.
Whatever new exciting adventures you plan I hope you continue to give us the privilege of seeing some of them on RUclips in your own good time. You are both so friendly. That comes across so clearly.
I have been following you for a while and I just have to say again, you are a wonderful young couple. So loving and generous to people in distress..really very moving and inspiring. And as for Nepal…I am too old to use things like WTF…but WTF!!!! It’s a joy to see what you are up to and I wish you safe travel and eagerly await the first vlog from Nepal. I used go be obsessed with Everest so have a limited knowledge of the country through climbing videos etc…. I am sure it will be great, and I wish La Bambara a most deserved rest!
I just wanna write a quick shout out to the pair of you for being absolute legends in a need of crisis. I just watched the van fire incident and my heart melted at your cool calm and collected way of handling it. You were even keen to go in the van to get more belongings despite the danger. Of course this is not good but I would have done the same! 💥 pow pow to kiff people you both are ❤
Although I think that sometimes a little bit more patience to enjoy things might come in handy, there's nothing wrong with chasing your dreams when you can - and maybe challenge your comfort zone a bit. Your plans sound exiting and it may be a something more different to us viewers than all the other van life channels there are. Exited to see what missions you will come up with for yourselves.
Yeah it is a balance for sure. We still love the van, and honestly now we have the tickets I’m actually really excited to get back to the van as well. We just want to have a bit mix up. Vanlife is a huge part of our life and will be for a while to come. I’m excited to share our adventures with you, thanks for coming along on the ride
For the bed. I have left my bed room sky light open in summer, only to come up to bed to find a puddle in the middle of it. I was too tired to not sleep in it, so I went downstairs and got the roll of bin bags. I removed the sheet, flipped the mattress over and laid black bin bags over the mattress, then added a new sheet and a nice fleece blanket, then got in and slept. Was still dry in the morning, but I needed to strip the bed and set the mattress up on it's side to dry every day for a week!
Night mare! Luckily our foamy mattress dried pretty quickly so wasn’t too much of a issue, just changed all the bedding and had one uncomfortable night sleep
Even when you 2 are struggling, somehow you still mange to inspire me, REMEMBER! your the dream team, your young, intelligent, organised, beautiful human being's, keep up the good work!
Feel this on a personal level lol. Sending you both lots of love and we are so so excited for this next chapter and all the adventures you are going to have. What an epic little break from vanlife!
Thinking 🤔about your next big plan and thanks a million for showing us those wonderful places in all sorts of weather. Pace yourselves and im Waiting with bated breath so exciting for ye both
I think it is interesting how a lot of van lifers can't get comfortable in their vans so they leave van life for a more stable and normal lifestyle. You two however, are too comfortable in your van so you are going to ditch it for a while to travel less comfortably. Too fun! Love that you still want to bring us on your adventures. Also Iz, when you were talking about your fears, I was afraid for you as I was thinking there was going to be a frog on that bridge. LOL!
Nice vlog guys. Your mental health and well being more important than how you travel. Hope your travels continue in what ever mode you decide to chose. Thanks for sharing.
It is fantastic you guys have been able to travel around and see all those beautiful places. But sure, it cannot be done indefinitely. It has been an awesome adventure for you guys as well as us regular viewers. ❤
Hello first time of seeing your vlog ...I am only here because you helped out the other guys...our wee irish van life leprechaun who is the most entertaining van lifer on the internet in my opinion....I think the magic mushrooms where a wee bit strong because everything caught fire ...anyway i thought what you guys did for them was lovely and just wanted to pop on your channel and say thanks...dont know much about you at all but your hearts are definately in the right place x blessings .
Hi guys. Love watching your vlogs and adventures. Hope your both in a good headspace now. Looking forward to seeing what your new adventures will be. Take care guys.
No matter what type of travelling you're doing like long journeys you will have those bad moments/days included. 👍 your honest and transparent opinions.
Great videos, guys. You need some dolce vita!! 🇮🇹 Would love to see you both roaming around Italy! So much to offer from top to bottom. Wherever you end up, keep enjoying yourselves with the passion and energy you show In your vlogs.. and stay safe. :) 👌👍
Tom I’m so glad your so much better . Issy I can imagine being so confined does anyones head in .I really hope whatever you both decide to do brings great 😊 fun and happiness .Love 💗 and take care🫂
I can't wait for the next chapter in your travels. Backpacking will give you a different challenge mentally and physically instead of staring at La Bamba for most of the day. Hopefully you will come back to van life at some point too but wherever and whatever you decide, I'll be watching as you are such an engaging couple. Good luck and live the dream 😊
Hey guys! Pleasure meeting you on the side of the road! wishing you a safe journey ahead, no more break-downs, and if you need any help in Bucharest, or contacts... anything... just reach out. Alex
Very interesting and honest vlog. I did wonder if time would come when you needed to stop, at least for a while, to recharge. When it starts to become a chore, or a difficult way to to live for all sorts of reasons, probably best to do something else for a while. I look forward to seeing what that is and wish you all the best until then!
Think you guys are great. How exciting to be making new plans. Have loved your van life (dream) but understand your quest for new adventures. Can’t want to see where you go next. How lucky are we to be able to go along with you. 💕☘️🇮🇪
your both so full of energy espeacially iz if you dont burn it off with hikes etc its gonna bubble to the surface get ya all frustrated love to you guys and what evers ahead
Know you're thinking of a change, IMHO, you need a better van. This is giving you a load of work, even making the bed, no real loo or shower. Our 20 yr old motorhome is infinitely better in almost every respect, and we wild camp virtually every where we can, and have all solar electric too, so no issues with electric power.
Lovely young people. So great to follow you on your adventures. Just do whatever you feel is right. Iz has so much energy, she could energise a power station. Tom has the calm presence of someone with wisdom beyond his years. But, relationships don’t last forever.
I follow you because of you. If you are doing something different, taking part in that is exciting. Being curious what you are up to. Enjoy life, cheers
It seems groundhog day has set in. If this were me and mine, and we noticed that we were getting on each others nerves...we'd either go home and take a break..or..make it a bigger adventure! Id head for the black sea coast now..and then down to Istanbul (although id check/research how unsafe that might be)! Where Europe meets Asia. Then..either continue home via southern Europe or drive the straightest line possible back to Cherbourg and just leave it be..until...........................SPRING 2023!!! Youll be frisky as lambs again and ready to rock the road! Dont beat yourselves up guys...what youre doing is tough and so far..youve mastered it!
Hi, i can understand your having 'cabin fever' and feeling disconnected. Perhaps having Issy's sister to stay for that week, and covid, was the catalyst for your re-evaluating your goals, dreams and what works for you two. Look forward to seeing what you have planned for the next stage of your journey, plus hope you have found a good van sitter for LaBamba 💕🤗 . Take care and stay safe.
Yeah I think a few things all happened at once, and it just left us feeling a bit frustrated and like we needed a bit of a shake up. La Bamba will be patiently waiting for us and we have return tickets so won’t be too long till we see her again
@@LostInTransit thinking of you, wishing you well, and so glad you have not lost your joy of life and enchantment of all that is new and beautiful. You are both special and delightful and thank you for taking us all along with you on your journey, xx
Totally understand, the rain & cold switches van-life from a pleasure to a chore. I liked the bear/porridge bit, made me laugh way more than It should. Keep up Tom! 👍🤣
Haha, glad you liked it. It does make it a lot harder, I think coupled with the illness it was pretty bleak, but last winter we actually had an amazing time, so looking forward to when we do get back to the van all reinvigorated
Ha. After Romania, I am not surprised that you feel burned out. Romania is a beautiful and mountainous country with wild nature. The aura in the mountains is the norm, September in these parts smells like autumn. The nights are already cold at this time of the year, this is Eastern Europe. Mushrooms !! For me, there is a season for Borowiki in Poland - there is a lot of it this year. I hope that everything is well after covid OK. You haven't been seen for a long time, now I know why. Good luck and a lot of health.😀
There's hundreds of different kinds of mushrooms in forests of central/eastern Europe. We have whole books that describe them and help you identify them. Foraging season is on just now as it starts being more rainy :D
Hey guys. Life advise incoming, crash helmets on! Remember you do you, noone else. We, who follow you, follow you do you! So don’t worry. Only worry when you do what someone else wants you to do. Sermon’s at an end. Take care, I’m sure it’ll be great.
Hi Tom Iz,looking forward to your new plans what ever it may be I have followed you a long time I will stick with you till you stop making blogs ,Iz proud of you going across the bridges you should be proud of yourselves,I love watching all your blogs Iz you are such a beautiful young lady Tom your are a great guy till next time take care keep yourself safe,John 😂👀👏🌹🌹🇬🇧🇬🇧🫶😘🙏🙌🤝✋😍🤩👍
Looks like you have some exciting plans whatever you decide to do I’m sure you will do it with a smile on your faces good to see Tom on the mend is the washing dry yet lol 😂
Hi to you both, I think you need a regular break, say one week every month where you drive to an airport with cheap flights and come back to uk (or one of your many friends you’ve made on your travels), have some (undocumented) down time and then go back on tour. As ever, you’re always welcome back here in Kerry, Ireland. Look after yourselves - it’s not good for you to live in a tin can indefinitely!
Completely agree with the "trust your gut". I'd imagine on something such as driving back to the UK (Cornwall) where you can safely park your van adn then backpacking in a completely different envirnment such as the contentient of Asia to really mix things up and revitalise the travel.
Ahh I hope you two are ok 👍 You were very brave on those bridges! I thought bears pooped in the woods, not campsites ?! That town looked really interesting It sounds like you need a holiday! Whatever you decide to do, I look forward to seeing your vlogs, whenever that may be 👍
Have you thought about volunteering with something like Worldpackers or Helpx - they have numerous different opportunities worldwide. From helping with animal rescues to hostels and farmwork, I even found an arthouse cinema in Cambodia. Accommodation is included, and usually some or all meals. You get to meet locals & other volunteers from all round the world.
Looking forward to seeing what you do. For me, I'd be looking to find a city or area, and really settle down and experience it - getting out and about at night and meeting local people.
Yeah immersion into a different culture is what travel is all about. I would love to spend some time getting to know a foreign city, this time though we are off into the wilds.
I'm looking forward to seeing what you are planning. I'd love to own a camper and enjoy the freedom but I would get claustrophobic after awhile too. With the time of year I'm wondering are you heading to Oz for awhile😉. Greetings from Ireland.
I’m not sure what the visa situation is. I (Tom) actually did an amazing roadtrip from Darwin down the west coast all the way to Melbourne. It was amazing but I used up my tourist visa. Need to look into the rules (besides we would need a bit more money to afford Auz)
Year's ago I worked as a commercial sailer, Hated being stuck in a cabin for days occasionally, was so claustrophobic and prison like totally get what you are feeling.
Waiting for next week with excitement and apprehension I hope it will be something I will enjoy. I wonder if you will take La Bamba back to the UK. If you are already booking flights maybe this is the end of La Bamba. Although I don't think you will sell it in Romania. INTERESTING!!!! Good luck whatever you do.
1) That bridge was next level. I felt sick watching it 🤣 2) So sad not to meet up, how could you do this to us?? 3) So excited for your next adventure! Big Love ❤️
Hello you two lovely people, I reckon you'll either go closer to family n friends or somewhere hot, wherever and whatever its a pleasure to go with yas.looking forward to the reveal👌 Life is great
Well I guess I am not surprised but I am sad that this part of your life is coming to a pause. I look forward to finding out what your plans are going forward. Iz get home for a bit and recharge.
The good news is it’s a brief pause, we will be leaving the van in Romania and coming back to it in a month or so. Excited for our backpacking adventure but equally for our return to the van. I did promise Isabel a Christmas at home last year so might have to go back for a bit around then
Was late coming to your channel but I loved every video when I finally caught up Thank you 🙏 both for showing parts of the world I don’t think I will ever get to see even parts of my own country will miss you both hope ye have a great future and the best of Irish ☘️ luck to you both And a huge thanks 🙏👍🏻☘️🇮🇪
Thank you so much Brian, what a lovely message. We miss Ireland dearly, who know one day when we may decide to build a mud hut in the wilds of Ireland. Thanks for joining us on our adventures

Wherever you go and whatever you do, you two beautiful people will make the most of life no matter what.
Best of luck to you both with next step of your plans fair play to ye & more power to ye !! Take care from Ireland 🇮🇪👍👍👍
Thank you, we think it’s going to be an amazing adventure, and it won’t be too long till we are back in the van. Thanks for the support Michael
Good luck guys, not surprised TBH. Waiting to watch the next chapter
If you stopped today you would still have achieved so much and given so much back through your journeys. Whatever you do, do it for you!
Nice vlog guys. Your mental health and well being more important than how you travel. Hope your travels continue in what ever mode you decide to chose. Thanks for sharing.
Great to see you guys on the move, keep up the great work
Thanks colm!
Ilove nothing better than hiking in the high mountains like these. Tell us more way you are. I enjoy your videos. Bill
Love your honesty. More please👊
Cheers mick, feels pretty weird putting it out there but really nice to hear that you appreciate the honesty
Sounds great! Looking forward to it!
As long as you don't stop making videos for us, fine with me, love your videos.

Can't wait to see the new plan Good luck from Greg in Australia 😊😊
We will follow you while you follow your dreams. Have fun and enjoy yourselves🥰
Thanks Shelly, we are planning some pretty big adventures, excited to share them with you
life begins at the end of your comfort zone!!! Go for it x
Love this!
Whatever you do will be amazing.
Park up your van, grab your bags and get on a plane, train or boat!
I did this and my world opened again!
Enjoy!!!
Love it!

Being a cruising sailor, I learned long ago to get into the habit of making sure that nothing is left uncapped, and you can see why.
looking forward to the next chapter... 😎
Thanks xp, so are we!
I'm glad ye are feeling enthusiastic and excited again about the future 🙌 Go for it 🖖
Thanks John, hope all is well in West Port. This next chapter but we will be back in the van again in a month or so
You are such a lovely and gracious couple.
Prediction. Hiking and hosteling thru Greece and Italy? I totally understand a need for change
Backpacking !!!!! Are you both mad lol ???? LOL good luck to you both, love your vids, as long as Izzy keeps dancing, don't mind what you do 🙂
Good luck and safe travels
You two should consider doing one of the Camino's it is so rewarding. We did the Portuguese last year and Frenchway next year.
I have heard the Portuguese way is amazing, I would love to do it one day. Isabel actually walked the French way two years ago.
I'd have a go at island hopping in the Aegean or back packing around west and south coast of Turkey.
We are not planning on driving back to the uk. I’m not sure we could afford it with the fuel prices these days, haha. We are planning a flight though!
Sad to see it come to an end ,so it's onwards to Asia then good luck for your future travel videos
For a few weeks at least. We will be back in the van before too long
@@LostInTransit thats great news ,looking forward to future content, stay safe and well
Can’t wait from Ireland 🇮🇪
Ahh I hope you two are ok 👍 You were very brave on those bridges!
I thought bears pooped in the woods, not campsites ?! That town looked really interesting
It sounds like you need a holiday! Whatever you decide to do, I look forward to seeing your vlogs, whenever that may be 👍
Best of luck on your new adventures..👍🍀
Thanks kenny
Lost the transit 👈 new name 🫥
Haha, as long as we don’t settle down I hope it will work. It won’t transit-less for too long
@@LostInTransit absolutely you’ve got to keep the excitement up :-) whatever works for you.
Guys! .. Ohhhhh I'm excited.... where are we off to next!!!!
It is known for its mountains and has a red and white flag that isn’t rectangular…🏔⛰
Year's ago I worked as a commercial sailer, Hated being stuck in a cabin for days occasionally, was so claustrophobic and prison like totally get what you are feeling.
Beast of luck on your next adventure
Waiting for next week with excitement and apprehension I hope it will be something I will enjoy. I wonder if you will take La Bamba back to the UK. If you are already booking flights maybe this is the end of La Bamba. Although I don't think you will sell it in Romania.
INTERESTING!!!! Good luck whatever you do.
We are not selling La Bamba! She is our home! We are just having some time apart! It won’t be too long till we are back in the van 🚐
Yes I think do Pilgrim route to Santiago de Compestello. Take care.
Isabel actually did the Santiago de compestello two years ago. Would love to do an alternative route at some time in future.
Good luck to you guys!! Love the videos from you pair. And Toms Video Keely made him film to me 😂😂.
Hahahaha, glad you liked the vid
1) That bridge was next level. I felt sick watching it 🤣
2) So sad not to meet up, how could you do this to us??
3) So excited for your next adventure!
Big Love ❤️
1) You can do it!
2) sorry guys, sending love
3)so are we!!!!! Woo hoo

I think neither are correct! Haha
Thanks for your support, hopefully there will be lots of videos for you to enjoy as well
Well I guess I am not surprised but I am sad that this part of your life is coming to a pause. I look forward to finding out what your plans are going forward. Iz get home for a bit and recharge.
The good news is it’s a brief pause, we will be leaving the van in Romania and coming back to it in a month or so. Excited for our backpacking adventure but equally for our return to the van. I did promise Isabel a Christmas at home last year so might have to go back for a bit around then
I’m a lift engineer and scared of heights, I fine as long as I’ve got something to concentrate on.
Well your still making great content.👍😊💙🇮🇪🇬🇧
Stay safe from Scotland 👏🏻👏🏻🙏🏻🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴

Thank you so much Brian, what a lovely message. We miss Ireland dearly, who know one day when we may decide to build a mud hut in the wilds of Ireland. Thanks for joining us on our adventures
