‼️ Volair is doing their very first sale on the Mach 2 Forza starting today until June 1st, and promo code MATTHEWK stacks on top-making this paddle only $130! 🤯 bit.ly/3RiNpsC 🚨 Also, be sure to check out my list of favorite pickleball accessories in the video description. Lots of super fun things to add to your bag. Plus, discounts! 😁😁😁
@@jayflorida Yes, that sale ended June 1st. Sorry if you missed that! To my knowledge, it was the only sale Volair’s done on the M2F. The price now after promo code MATTHEWK is $162, which is actually cheaper than when I recorded the video. But not as cheap as the sale unfortunately!
I use the 14mm version as well, weighted from the bottom throat area (6 pieces), bottom edge (3 pieces), lower side (1 piece), for 9.9 ounces approx total weight. Swingweight still feels good, and the paddle is a twistweight monster, nice heft, super stable for touch shots :)
I have the MAch 2 Forza and have to say it is perhaps the best paddle I have ever had, and I have had many. Control is amazing and is more than adequate in the power and pop category.
14mm paddles let's go! Have you been able to hit with the Spartus Apollo? I'd be curious to hear your thoughts with that paddle compared to the 16mm version of the VM2F. Thanks for the review!
@@MatthewKPickleball ofcourse I’ll be using your code, hopefully their normal 20% plus your code for another 10% should bring it down to 130. Also would you recommend the new CTRL 2 over the original, I have a pre order code for 20% off at the moment that expires tomorrow so let me know what you think. Thanks
@@MatthewKPickleball I have the tungsten tape from Pickleball Effect. Could you use tungsten tape on the 16 mm to increase pop without decreasing swing speed significantly. Thanks
@stratelyze2095 Hmm. I’m really not sure you can add “pop” with tape. You can def add power by putting some at the top of the paddle. It would probs affect swing weight, but depends how much you try. I would start at the bottom corners, though, and see if you like the feel, but that’s just my two cents!
I'm having a hard time deciding between the j2k, ruby, or mach 2 forza, any suggestions? price is not an issue between the 3 and I really prefer a paddle is on the lighter end. Also use a 1 handed backhand if that matters!
What do you play with now and what do you like/dislike? What do you want different? But without knowing anything else, my go-to rec is the J2K. Does everything really well, especially if you like control but still need pop/power for aggressive exchanges at the baseline or at the kitchen IMO. I just really like that paddle!
@@MatthewKPickleball Thanks for the response! I've actually narrowed it down to either the J2k or the pro version. I would say I have weaker arms and DO NOT like smashing the ball as hard as possible but focus on hitting the ball to a precise spot, does that mean a paddle with more "pop" would be better for me as I could exert less power myself as long as I learn how to control it?
@@DanDan-qi3sw It sounds like you have a similar play style to me. My take is a poppier paddle won’t be better for you because the ball won’t stay on the face as long, so you’ll have less time to target/aim and place those trickier shots. Sounds like you need a paddle that will slow the ball down. I would still go with the J2K-non Pro. It will let you do all that without being too control-oriented, so you can still play aggressively IMO. That’s my two cents!

I just got this paddle and love it. Thanks for the tip for the tungsten weight - just ordered some as I felt it was slightly light.
That’s awesome! It’s a fun one!
Are we going to be seeing a review on the volair ctrl2 forza soon at all?
It’s in the works!

Agreed! It’s a lot of fun!
Just used your code for a Mach 1 Forza, non love handle, pretty in pink version. Thanks!
Thank you for using my code! I’m going to test that one soon. Love that shape!
Have my Mach 2 Forza 14mm and love it.
Nice! Did you add any weight?
@@MatthewKPickleball kept stock for now. Also have a Spartus Apollo coming next week.
@@aaronsegal1682 Nice! I should be testing that one soon!
Paddle with love handles love it, great review!
Thanks, dude!!!
I love its big sweet spot.

Not yet! Supposed to be getting one at some point. 🤞
I currently play with the J2ti,
Would you recommend Mach 1 or Mach 2?
The J2Ti is my main, and the Mach 2 Forza in 14mm is the one I would go for as it’s a lot different and very much a nice addition to the arsenal.
@ thanks, I’ll just snag 1 up on Black Friday
@ for sure! Def try promo code MATTHEWK then. It might stack on top. Not sure how they’ll do Black Friday tbh.

@@munchymunch8698 I hope the codes stack! As for the new one, I haven't hit with. But it doesn't come in 14mm, so that's something to keep in mind!
Could you tell me where you put the 3 gm weights on the 14mm paddle. Thanks.
On the bottom corners. The tungsten tape works well because it’s easy to adjust without getting messed up like lead tape.

No chance, tried both.
