    It’s really hypocritical to make a segment about Punk being the unprofessional one by banning people from collision when the whole reason collision existed was because the elite were too scared to work along side Punk on Dynamite.

    You left out one HUGE detail... the BS the Elite pulled in the week before All In. Otherwise, great and fair coverage, tho I do wish you would've talked more about how Punk had to deal with being buried in the media for almost a year, quietly, BEFORE Brawl Out, then had to deal with it 10x worse afterwards. Imagine having YOUR bosses bury you to your shareholders weekly. How long would YOU take it before you did what Punk did to Tony in Chicago? Anywhere, here's that timeline:
    1. A week before All In, Punk and the Elite were supposed to meet, per Tony, bury the hatchet, and discuss that big angle that would've made them all the biggest thing in wrestling. I guess Tony saw the first Jungle Boy (an Elite stooge) thing as a warning and actually tried to be a leader...
    The Elite canceled the meeting on Punk. Your biggest star, all this tension, you won't even talk to him.
    2. Punk arrives in London, turns out all his travel itinerary is phony. They gave him a fake phone number to call, no car waiting for him, nothing. Who's in charge of travel? Another Bucks friend like Perry, who'd buried Punk on Twitter countless times. Seems an awful lot like they tried to get him to no-show. Instead, he old-schooled it and found a way to the show. Only for....
    3. Jack Perry to go into business for himself, on AEWs biggest night, dissing their biggest star live on PPV. If this were the 90s, Punk wouldn't have had to put hands on him. He'd have been fed to the Acolytes on Raw, beaten to a pulp, and fired on Tuesday. But he's The Elite's boy, so he can do what he wants. You KNOW that dude isn't any good. How many better talents have AEW squandered while he got TV time weekly? And he's one of the same guys telling Billy Gunn and Mark Henry "I don't need your help. I don't need to be out at the ring doing workshops before the shows, Ill just smoke bud and play video games with the Jacksons, your bosses, instead". I mean Jungle Boy and Hangman WISH they could get the crowd response Gunn gets NOW, let alone in his prime, and theyre telling him, Punk, etc "we dont need your help, we're already the shit". Well, if that were true, yall would be selling merch and selling tickets. I see more "Scissor me, Daddy Ass" shirts in the crowd than Hangman shirts.
    Now 1 of those 3 happens, ight, it happened. All 3 happen in one week? Na thats intentional. And after all that, all Punk did was facelock Jungle Boy to humble him, and get in Tony's face? Imho, they got off easy. Did Punk act unprofessional again? He did. But when the EVPs and their friends constantly try to make your life hell, and the CEO does nothing to stop it... I'm sorry Tony Khan, you SHOULD'VE been snuffed. And years from now, when the money's dried up for those legends, and they do shoot interviews about their time in AEW, I guarantee Punk is gonna look better and better.

    • @tjshultz89
      @tjshultz89 11 месяцев назад +96

      Very well said.
      I find it funny that people think the Elite were these huge stars and selling a lot of merch and putting Pro Wrestling Tee's on the map and having their shirts sold in Hot Topic. But in reality, they sold as much merch as any lower card wrestler in WWE does. When Punk came into that company he outsold all of the merch sales that the Elite had done over a 5 year period in 1 hour. That's the difference between a legit Main Event star and a curtain jerker act. Pro Wrestling Tees had to close down their showroom and fill it equipment just to meet the demand. That pissed off the Elite to no end especially when Tony became Punk's biggest fan, and once Punk set his sights on the World Championship they did everything in their power to get in the way. They'd rather drag a legit star down to their level then let the company print money with Punk as the focal point of AEW.

People try compare aew to wcw but no way was wcw this bad and wcw had real stars and had higher ratings than anything aew ever had in fact even tna impact in its prime as short as it was still had over 2 million in ratings so aew is not on their league, if Tony doesn't wake up and hire the right people and be a leader Aew will completely self destruct and die.

      AEW does joint venturing with other wrestling companies which is another
      aspect of how cooperatives work. Tony does not own 100% of AEW his dad
      also owns it. Tony and his dad have the final say, well that's how its supposed

    • @tjshultz89
      @tjshultz89 11 месяцев назад

      @@jamesearlcash1758 Please google what the differences between a Co-op and a business are.
      If AEW was a Co-Op, everyone working their would be a member-owner of the company. Everyone would have an equal voice and decisions are made democratically. No one has that voting power in the company other than the 2 Khan's. And if Daddy Khan wanted to close down the company he could whether or not Tony protested. Matt, Nick and Kenny can't vote to keep the company around because they have no stake in the company.
      The closest example of a Co-Op in pro wrestling was PWG. They had 6 owners who were all wrestlers during the start of the company including Disco Machine, Excalibur, Scott Lost, Joey Ryan, Super Dragon, and Top Gun Talwar. Anyone else who wrestled on the shows would get their flat fee payment, and any profit left after the show was split evenly 6 ways.

    Cousin Phil and the Elite (especially it seems the Bucks), hold responsibility for this situation, but Tony Khan is most responsible for not being a strong enough leader. Had things be handled, confronted early in that Hangman/Punk feud, had all parties involved been mature adults and professional, AEW may be in an even better place than it is now. I'm not sure if Punk returning is actually going to happen or even if it should, but it's a shame the entire AEW run ended the way it did.
    At the end of the day, fights are going to happen in wrestling, but good leadership is needed and people have to put their petty bullshit aside if they want to make money.

      If this was WWE, they'd have sat down together while Punk was rehabbing his arm, Vince would've MADE THEM make peace, and they'd have told no one. Meltzer wouldn't even know. Then we'd have gotten an Elite vs CMFTR feud that would've made Tony a ton of money, elevated all involved, then Punk gets the final win so he can start a feud with MJF and lose clean to Max, finally unifying the titles. And ALL OF IT would've happened in sold out arenas.

    You can say he was given his own show and that he banned whoever but honestly I don’t think punk did that and would have rather had his enemies on the same show so he can make compelling tv and make them look like idiots on tv more so than they already did. I don’t think punk wanted his own show. I think tony got a show and decided to separate punk from certain people by keeping him on one show because tony didn’t have balls to sit them all down and tell them how they’re going to all work together and make a lot of money. It’s not punk’s or the elites fault that tony doesn’t have balls. Punk kept aew in the news the entire time he was there good or bad. Now ratings aren’t hitting that occasional million at all and seem to be on a downward trend. If they would have all worked together then aew could be the biggest thing going right now and everything wwe is doing now wouldn’t be a big deal at all even with la knight, orton and cody. Unfortunately as of right now, there are only really two ways to settle backstage beefs in AEW, HR or fists. This is why despite all its issues, Wrestler's Court was crucial in helping to squash beefs. A part of me would like to think that it was the Elite who leaked the Colt getting fired story to their dirt sheet buddies like Meltzer to sabotage CM Punk, but what probably DID happen was that Colt's contract was coming up, and he was probably going to be reassigned to ROH because that's where he makes the most sense but someone in the blogosphere made the suggestion that it was Punk's doing and it just spiralled from there to the infamous Hangman promo.
    I don't buy for a second that Punk would actually return to the WWE, yeah you will get that huge Chicago pop....but then what? The think is thst AEW was to small for CM Punk size as a star who he became.
    It's not CM Punk choice, it's a people choice.
    We make it CM Punk who he is today. We love him SO MUCH.
    He is loved worldwide!
    No ather wrestler can get even close to level of Phil.
