Tane it’s super easy to whip cream by hand. Just make sure everything is ice cold. Put your bowl and whisk in the freezer for about half an hour and use just a couple teaspoons of powdered sugar to lightly sweeten it when you’re whipping it. The cornstarch will help stabilize the cream so that it doesn’t go flat within a few minutes after it’s made.

"I'm on a mission..." to watch every single video that Claire is in. Love everything BA does .. thank you cast and crew!!
I think of *Angel Food cake as a 1960's classic dessert.* (yeah, I'm Jurassic) The way you made and presented it is exactly how my mother would...but, she'd whisk the egg whites by hand! I loved those special times making this with her, being the only girl with seven brothers and having the first piece as well! This is still by far my favorite cake.
You should send Claire to a country like France or Italy where she can Gourmet make some of their snacks
I would love to send snacks from Switzerland for her "to gourmet" (ok, so now it's a verb).
Yeah. Gourmet Makes: Going Places!
I like to make custard--usually chocolate--with the extra yolks to serve with angel food cake.
I like to make ice cream or creme anglaise with the extra yolks to serve with it :)
Both sounds like they'd contrast great with the cake. I'll have to do that if I ever bake an angel food cake. I was gonna bake one for my birthday cake but I got too busy handling other stuff.
I love that Claire is making cakes now and not sweets. Those videos were so stresstful for her. And now she is confident and happy.
the editing in these videos is just amazing!
