I needed this!!! I talked about this in my video last week. I think my PTSD has caused my anxiety. Recently had to get on anxiety meds but I don’t really want to be on them forever. Basically I need to hire you for a one on one sesh so you can fix me please 🤣

Huh, so I have only watched a few of your videos, and maybe you can't address this because they sponsored the video so might be a conflict of internet/in the contract, but do you as a licensed therapist think better help is actually an ethically sound company and service?
They have, in the past, been caught exaggerating what they offer and there was major "online drama" about it. I am not sure if it ever went anywhere legally, but a lot of youtubers dropped betterhelp for a long time and then they just kind of......came back. I haven't seen any licensed therapists advocating for their service though so curious about that.

@@AlexAnteroLammikko I don’t think that it’s a perfect service and I also think that certain issues and allegations have become blown up because Internet. One major issue is the variability and quality of care. However, this is true when you are finding someone privately as well it often takes some trial and error. There have been allegations of mishandling of personal data which always raises red flags for people when there’s anything related to healthcare involved, personally I feel that people are very selective in the types of privacy that they are concerned about. Where I stand over all this that I don’t think it’s a organization that is inherently unethical, and I think that individuals can weigh the cost and benefits for themselves to decide if it would be the best approach. One of the major roles that I think it plays is connecting people to almost immediate help, which is something that many other types of treatment cannot do. Leslie, I’ll say that on the provider side there are much more lucrative options out there, and in order to make a living on the platform you do have to work quite hard but again I think that’s something that individuals can weigh the cost and benefits of for themselves.

@@duffthepsych It did and was very reasonable. And indeed the usual things are true: 1: internet blowing things out of proportion and 2: no company or service being without faults.
I would never use betterhelp but I also have an anxiety disorder and need more specialized help, and its certainly good to have a starter pack option. I just have never recommended it to anyone because of the uncertainty about the service they provide.
      Thank you for the answer.
