Making a false report to the police is a crime in itself. The civil servant who did that should be suspended by the DWP and the police should prosecute them. If convicted, the civil servant should have their appointment terminated.

I've just discovered (though a letter from the DWP 'safe person unit') that I have my card marked as 'abusive and threatening'. I've never threatened anyone in my life. This service is supposed to be run without prejudice. Now I know there are people who work at the JC who's decisions are informed by these 'marks' on my file or case notes. These marks will ultimately have you discriminated against in their processes. These 'marks' should not be allowed unless someone has a history of resorting to violence. They decide that you are 'threatening' or 'abusive' because you asked questions or argued a point that may lead to a sanction if not sorted out. That's where they want to go. They want to lead you down the sanction route any way they can.
Case in point. I had an appointment at my JC about 3 months ago and arrived 8 minutes early. I was asked to wait outside until my proper appointment time. I did this and by the time I got upstairs I had already been called. It took a while for them to realise I was there still waiting. When an adviser called me to her desk she immediately asked why I was late and went on to explain that it is important that I am punctual or this may lead to sanctions and that she will have to mark me down as being late. I was gobsmacked. I then explained that I have my smartphone with me and that it records geo location data through google. It knows where I am, what time I arrive, how long I'm there for, and what time I leave. It also knows what floor of the building I'm on and it records movements from the waiting area to her desk which is about 40 feet away. I asked her if I provided a printout from google will she then accept that I was 8 minutes early and not 40 minutes late?
The look on her face was priceless. It was a bad start to a new adviser/client relationship. After more or less more of the same treatment for a further 5 minutes I told her, I would like to leave now if you have nothing further to discuss other than my punctuality. I got up and left. I think this would have marked my card as 'abusive and threatening'. This is not acceptable. I'm going to find out exactly what is 'marked' in my files through subject data access request. I can't wait to see what other lies they have marked on my file 😆

Thank you for that info I have been trying for a long time to find out how much they earn. These DWP People act as if they are part of the high and almighty big earners of society when really and truly they earn a measly wage, they have no trade and are unqualified to act the way they do, as if they are something special which surely when they look in the mirror they must realize they are not. There is nothing wrong with earning a measly wage, having no trade, and having no qualification, but there is something wrong with these types of people making out they are something they are not. Back in the old days, you welcomed their stupidity. The trouble is now that some bright spark has given these stupid people power.

@ JAZZ MAN - Well spotted. She clearly knows her colleague has done something wrong and is trying to cover their arse. Not a good idea on her part because she will almost certainly get dragged into it and it will not end well if it is established impropriety/wrongdoing took place. Civil servants these days seem to have a mindset they are untouchable and have jobs for life. That is not entirely correct.

I'm in the process of making a formal complaint, regarding a member of Jobcentre staff. He broke the cardinal rule regarding data protection law, relating to myself. What's in my favour, is that this isn't the first time this has happened with a different client, & he was subsequently stopped from using the computers. What's in his favour he's been with the Jobcentre absolutely ages.

Apparantly I threatened to punch a member of staff which isn't true at all so they lied about me after mocking me. They also keep the same woman doing phone call appointments, although apparantly I made her distressed. If she's that distressed why would she want to keep making appointments?

So what was this all about? You make a complaint and their manager or whoever deal with it. You're not told what happens and it could be anything from a formal chat, to a strike on their file, to a suspension or a termination. It's not your business to know what happens to the staff member. If you make a formal complaint in writing, then you get a letter to say the complaint is received and they are acting upon it.

      Hi Richard
I live in a house I rent. But on reflection once you leave a house and you don't have an address life can get difficult, people get suspicious about you and if you become unemployed you might not get a job again without an address, suddenly things start going down hill.

@earthSCAN NZ - No. Hang on. Common Purpose-trained clowns. You can spot them a mile off. They talk over you when you try to speak, accuse you of threatening them, being confrontational and going round in circles.
      Typical convo -
Claimant: Excuse me. That's not what the regulations say. Where did you get that from?
Common Purpose Idiot: You're threatening me.
Claimant: No. I'm stating a fact.
Common Purpose Idiot: You're very confrontational.
Claimant: No. I'm speaking in a normal tone of voice.
Common Purpose Idiot: We're going round in circles.
Claimant: I'm not, but you certainly are. Can I speak to your supervisor?
Common Purpose Idiot: No. They're not here today.
Claimant: Really? They're speaking to that lady over there. I recognise them.
Common Purpose Idiot promptly shits pants, gets up, goes over to supervisor and lies to them out of your hearing range, resulting in threats of police action if you don't leave.
Welcome to the world of Communitarianism.

A bigger person would just see past this spelling mistake! I'm very sure there are things in life your not very good at and I'm sure people don't pull you up over them . Try having to live with something like a learning difficulty and being constantly aware that you make spelling mistakes. There's a lot more to life than spelling. Albert Einstein "Everyone is a genius but if you judge a fish on its ability to climb a tree it will live its whole life believing that it's stupid" that genius was dyslexic by the way

There will be documentation on the gov website about complaint proceedures. yeah don't just take their word for it.
    from gov website
You will receive a final response by telephone or letter from the DWP Complaints team. This will tell you the outcome of your complaint, and how to contact the Independent Case Examiner if you are not satisfied.
But it looks like it will go on file, and god knows when it would actually be processed.

It is shocking that a SIA Licence badge holder does not know the law, the jobcentre is a public building, which means you are free to take pictures and enter whenever you like.
I would question the guy who is filming because it looks suspicious to film a building which is not ina tourism location and has no interest .
I would think you are carrying out reconnaissance of the area to plan a strategic terroist act, such as taking pictures of the building to check out the camera blind spots for aan attack and would of told you that.

dwp have targets to hit in sactions since 2010 and they do not care about who it affects or how its affects them. people have the right to eat and this money is a lot of people only hope of that, and due to these targets jcp staff have become soulless and blind to the harm they cause. if the government needs to save money then stop over paying mp's and bailing out the bankers then giving them huge fuck off taxbreaks

Toots Mac. Exactly, you say it's their job. But it shouldn't be. No one should be in a position where they get to make the decision about another persons benefit. Especially if the person making the decision, is in the privileged position of having a decent job, while the person they are making the decision about, doesn't have a job usually through no fault of their own. THERE ARE NO JOBS. That's why all the knob heads work in the job centre, because it's easier than getting a useful productive job, as there are none, and if there were any, the Job centre staff wouldn't get them because they probably wouldn't be qualified for them. The job centre staff treat you like shit if you let them. They speak to people as if they have done something wrong, or as if they are criminals. They're ignorant, rude, and as thick as shit. There's only one decent member of staff at my local job centre in West Bromwich. She's called Margret. She's helpful, sensible, intelligent, sympathetic, friendly and above all she's human and realistic. Trust me when I say that they are out to get you, and there definitely is a hidden agenda.

She refers to you as a customer at 11:35.
If that is true then what happened to the customer always being right?
In all honesty, I wouldn't consider jobseekers to be customers at all as you are not paying to receive a service.
As a government department they should be assisting people into work but it is clear that the Tory means of massaging employment figures to look more favourable, and we all know how every workplace is driven by targets, has become much more drastic within this most recent Tory lead government.
Could you bring yourself to work towards a target that directly leaves people destitute and depressed? I couldn't.
If they aren't entitled to a benefit, they aren't counted in the unemployment figures.
