I was searching and searching and no videos worked even if I did exactly what was said. But your video helped me so much and after 4 minutes it was already working. I only am recording my gameplay of LSPDFR so I can rewatch or share clips of certain parts of my gameplay, so am very new to OBS; but this tutorial was so easy to understand and follow. All I can say is, thank you.
I have 1 big problem that no one talks about: Do I have to add each game individuially to the mixer? Because if yes, that will be a hot mess imo ... Otherwise its also enoying to switch to the game every single time ... Is there any good solution?
You shouldn’t have to add every game separately. Just choose “game audio” and it’ll detect any game. If you have XLR, it should say “XLR GAME” as a source
Hey man, I just started my Twitch and RUclips channel, and I have to say, this was by far THE best tutorial on setting up audio tracks. I don't often comment on RUclips vids but felt the need to on this one because it was THAT good. Thank you so much!
Oh, Thank You! I thought I would have to buy hardware to manage all my audio and that thought overwhelmed me. Not the hardware so much, but all the cable management involved with it. 🙂
Thank you for this! To be clear- if I run all my games through Steam, would I still have to individually add audio for each game I play on stream or would adding Steam cover all games launched through it?
Are we talking about Twitch? If yes, then it's correct. As long as copyrighted songs are not included in your VOD, you will not receive a copyright strike.
What about people with console? I have ps5 and laptop I use obs, the application audio capture just does not work for me. Is there a windows setting somewhere that is blocking me from doing this? I’ve tried multiple times and the audio isn’t picked up through the sources. It’s driving me insane.
If I understand correctly, you are yousing OBS in laptom for either recording or streaming and it does not capturing sound from PS5, or it does not work for you at all?
I want to listen to things while gaming with out it going out to stream through OBS, but muting the desktop audio in OBS also mutes my alerts. Do you know how I can fix my alerts with out letting all of my computer sounds come through the stream?
Sadly no one who makes a video about it talks about the problems of the application audio beta. Many people have problems with 1: distorted sound happening randomly and 2: you can’t capture alerts via browser source with this (which is 90%) of every streamers alerts because you can’t capture obs itself
What are you talking about? I can clearly hear the alerts, and so can my chat. All I did was adding 2 set of the alerts. And monitored one of them for myself, and did not monitor the other set for the chat.
I had some issues today while splitting my browser audio sources and not being able to hear them/obs not capturing them like you said here, but with some help in the obs discord i was able to fix it! it has to do with the monitoring device/windows settings. not sure if you personally are struggling with this but the fix is in the "audio support" section of the obs discord if anyone is searching for solutions.
Hey, Is there a way to both enable the desktop and spotify tracks? The Desktop sound also captures Spotify but i want to remove the Spotify Music in Post without disabling the desktop audio.
Is there a way to set it up so if I change games or discord channel it will auto change to it? And if I have it set to one discord voice chat and change to another will it change with it?
I believe where you will set there discord, it will capture discord sounds doesn't matter on what channel or which server on discord you are. Regarding games, I believe you have to add there every game you want to capture and then simply when you are playing the game it will capture sound.
In my OBS the Aux/Mic is picking desktop audio but i have head phones on. Why is my mic picking up desktop audio in obs? I have the same issue this guy was having but his way of fixing it is not helping me pls help. I am attaching the link of his video in this comment so that you can see my issue and give solution pls. ruclips.net/video/aHxLzELAEro/видео.html

I doesn't add a new audio on mine
you might need to turn on monitoring

this!! I see every video doing it for one game but what if we stream multiple games? That's just way too much. Have you figured it out?
@@zelrius8714 No, I even asked the same question online in the forums but apperently there hasnt been done anything yet ^^

Thanks bruh!
Glad I could help!

What is the background music you have used in this video
Hi, it should be "Rains Of Meghalaya - Hanu Dixit"
Ok so I’ve done this but the issue I’ve ran into is the my alerts aren’t coming though for my community anyone got any suggestions ?
hi what music is that used in the background?
Hi, thanks for comment! I believe the song should be - "Rains Of Meghalaya - Hanu Dixit"
How do I capture my alerts through stream elements?
Thank you for this! To be clear- if I run all my games through Steam, would I still have to individually add audio for each game I play on stream or would adding Steam cover all games launched through it?
Great tutorial buddy. Keep it up
Thank you!
Does anyone else have a problem with the application audio capture, to where it makes a crackling sound when playing from that app?
You can listen to copyright things without a strike as long as its not recorded to your vod? If its live and you play things its okay?
Are we talking about Twitch? If yes, then it's correct. As long as copyrighted songs are not included in your VOD, you will not receive a copyright strike.

Thanks a lot for that !

when i put it into OBS the tracks are all there but it all the audios play on the first track
nvm i have to make one audio per track
I want to listen to things while gaming with out it going out to stream through OBS, but muting the desktop audio in OBS also mutes my alerts.
Do you know how I can fix my alerts with out letting all of my computer sounds come through the stream?
so.. basically you want your stream audience to hear alerts but not the other sounds?
is there a settings wrong with my obs? I cannot find twitch VOD track I only have audio track?
are you using normal OBS studio? or streamlabs OBS?
thank dude its very helpful!
Thank you! Happy to hear that

It was helpful thank u liked!

Awesome, thank you!
but what if i only stream on yt?
then you can only manage volumes of separated audio channels, but unfortunately you cannot mute music for VODs as you can do it on twitch
thanks broski
You are welcome!

what version of OBS are you using?
