    ONLY HEARING ONE TRACK?
    You have to take it into an advanced editing application to see all the tracks. If you are just playing the recording with a media player you can only listen to one track at a time, it's like how movies have different audio tracks for different languages. Edit it in your editing app the way you desire and then when you render the video all the sound will be on track 1 again for you to hear and upload or use the way you want.

      Hi! Thank you for the video! I did every step that you showed, but my video editor (Microsoft ClipChamp) just sees 1 track no matter what (in my case it is desktop audio). Although my mic is working, I can see it in OBS that it is being registered when i speak. Could you advise me, how I can fix that, if you don't mind? Thank you!

    • @annaglushkova3276
      @annaglushkova3276 4 месяца назад +3

      Oh, nevermind, I've just found a community post that clarifies that "multi-track video or audio has not yet been launched on ClipChamp" :( I might need another software, so I'm gonna look into other free options. Thank you anyway!

    Guys please keep in mind that windows media player doesn't play 2 different audio lines at the same time. However if you load it into your editing software you have the seperate lines, but mediaplayer does only play one audio line mic or desktop. So therefore a solution will be to add 3 lines, one combined one that can be deleted afterwards and is just to replay with mediaplayer. and two seperate ones!

    Say you're in a gaming session with friends, and you're using discord to voice call, how would you record your audio and your friends' audio in separate tracks? Would your friends' voices just be part of the desktop track, or can you separate the friend commentary from the desktop audio?

      Also does your video editing programs show all the audio channels like premiere pro does? If not then it might only use the first audio channel only

    • @ConCon

      Also if you try play the recording on the computer it will only make sound for the first audio and not all of them. You have to edit and save the video first to merge the audio tracks.

    Good to know about this audio track thing. I did a recording of a game that I'm now editing to put here on RUclips and I'm having trouble hearing some of the things I said (this was before knowing about the separate audio track). And now that I know about the audio track thing, I'll be able to edit better! But for now, I'll have to suffer my first video editing.... Anyway, Thanks ConCon for the info!!!

    amazing video! Question: What are good microphone filters in OBS to remove background sounds and to make my voice sound better?

    • @ConCon
      @ConCon  Год назад +1

      I only use the Noise Gate filter, I have mine set to Close threshold -47.00 and Open threshold -45.00. Then 25ms, 200ms, 150ms below.
      Depending on how loud your background is, you lower or raise the threshold. You can see your mic levels in the audio preview as you talk it goes green, use numbers there to guide you on softly you can speak but still be recorded (for me was -45.00. You should also see a constant noise indicated, I used the -47 to cut that off. So anything softer than those values does not get recorded when I speak.
      I do way more of way voice editing in premiere pro because it has the right tools and controls, OBS is very basic with what it can do for audio
