Structural Design Considerations: Earthquakes and Winds (majority from typhoons).. Philippines is located along the Pacific Ring of Fire and a Typhoon path, if we can design high-rise buildings like Japan then we can have a very tall high-rise building compared to the high-rises of today...
I don't get your point... this is going to be privately owned, you're acting like the government is going to construct it using taxpayer money, and why aren't you putting into considerations the potential jobs that this project would create?... Lastly, tall structures provide more space in a crowded city like Metro Manila, it provides more space for businesses and housing.
@@ACafe-qj5eq it is for attracting more tourists so they will spend money in the Philippines and it can generate more jobs and income. the location will also play the part since if its in the city, its going to be accessible. before you make an iconic supertall building, they should make sure the design is relevant to our culture and not just a copy cat. There should be big greenspaces over looking around it and not cramped. so people can marvel the beauty and not just for cars. Actually making a supertall building might not be needed, just make an interesting mid sized building with an interesting park layout in front of it. The amenities should be so highly creative and uniquely found only in the philippines. Luxury Infinity pools, restaurants, mountain climbing, sports arena, pet center, mini zoo, ocean park, animal theme cafes, ice skating, jogging paths, fashion, cinemas, river kayaking, scenery bike, recreational, roof top view decks, indoor, outdoor, ceiling garden, iceskating, glamping. Everything within reach and no need to travel 6 hours for recreation. its going to be a challenge designing it.

Philippines is not building very tall structures in the country because of its geographical condition where every now and then earth quakes or earth shakes happen
Thank you for answering your own question why the Philippines cannot build these "iconic" or super tall towers or buildings. It reminds me of the Tower of Babel that the people built (Old Testament of the Bible) thinking that they could reach and return to heaven. I would rather have the Filipinos return to the true and living God and Jesus Christ. It is not these high towers that will save us from the devastation of the last days especially as the peoples of the world continue to live in Babylon. If a city turns into Sodom & Gommorrah as of old, God will destroy that city. Let us therefore return to the glory as sons and daughters of God. I am not against good Architecture and Engineering, as for me the Rufino Tower and PBCOM Tower and the like residential and commercial buildings by SMDC and DMCI are enough.
i don't know why we filipinos don't do what singapore and china do...to build earthquake-proof buildings and condominiums instead of one floor housing the overly populated Philippines of 120 million and growing...we only have small land; we're only the size of Arizona USA, and yet our forests are disappearing by the day from golf courses, housing by the rich and influential individuals, and for farmings so in the next 100 years, the last remaining 200 philippine eagles and equally endangered animals in the forests will disappear. ...in the next 200 years, Filipinos will only see Philippine monkey-eating eagles in pictures, videos, and paper money, and no more forests for our wildlife. It. So sad.......why oh why???? can we just stop encroachment on the forests? build high rise buildings for mass populations who are homeless? land reclamation by the seas? don't we have concern for the next generations of Filipinos....who will see no forests left and the then extinct Philippine eagles????
I was born and grew up in QC, very much a part of Metro Manila. I never recall a day or night when our neighborhood got flooded at all. Our neighborhood is not far from SM North Edsa.
@ACafe-qj5eq huh? Road construction is a government project and surely what we taxpayers should shoulder on. Meanwhile, that skyscraper will be fully funded by a private sector as always. I hope this reply will put your mind at ease.
@ACafe-qj5eq bro talks like he knows how CBDs are working. Ofcourse that private sector will hand out legal documents to high-persons-in-charge and those partys must do some proper agreements for the benefit between private sector and the country. Sir, think before making a comment!!!
What about your money are you feeding the poor?
What's your concern? If private companies want to build skycrapers you should be thankful they are giving jobs to certain people.
left or right i think lefties
why not build high rises pogo offices?
it was just all a dream
When you use the term "iconic", please ensure that it is truly ICONIC with a lasting life, design-wise, of 250 years.
