In South Korea, a hypersonic air-to-ground missile was test-fired by the FA-50 in 2024. It was planned as a way to strengthen the ability to strike targets of weapons of mass destruction.
    Known specifications are 8.7 m / 2.4 t / Mach 6.2 or higher / Two-speed solid propellant / Dual-mode scramjet engine / hypersonic cruise missile (HCM).
It is planned to be equipped with air-to-air and air-to-air missiles of the KF-21.
Of course, I think it will be used for the purpose as it was test-fired by FA-50s.
According to the announcement that the KF-21 Block 1 will be equipped with both Korean air-to-air and air-to-ground missiles, it is expected to be mass-produced within 2030.

@@bertbattersby9220It's normal that in training conditions the F22 and F35 don't really do stealth mode. Many countries have trained with America, Singapore prefers the stealth F35 with an RCS of 0.001 meters from the aircraft body making it difficult for enemy radar to detect it, Indonesia also bought the French Rafale even though it's not stealth with RCS. 0.5 is also difficult to detect by radar, while the Gripen has an RCS of 1-1.5 meters. If the Gripen is superior to the F22 Raptor, why don't the 2 countries Singapore and Indonesia buy the Gripen and choose to buy it at a price 2x more expensive than the Gripen?😮

I hope the PI defends its territorial domain. My father served with the USAFFE in WWII but he was not recognized in the US after my two attempts to the US Records. I'm here and would like to set the record straight. My siblings and I are not looking for benefits but a simple recognition from whose government my father belongs. His BC was an Ausie in the name of Col Straun. My dad served but no info of his career even when my cousin, a former CCAFP, couldn't find his records in the PA. Next is my nephew. He was recruited by the PA as an athlete in the 2nd ID, Camp Capinpin; Tanay. I'm next, an O-4 but no records to prove that we were. Do I have to brown nose? My answer is NO. I'm a retired government employee enjoying my benefits. It's a long story, but don't ask me but you tell me instead. Thank you

Even the US is looking at South Korea for this reason as they build multiple frigates at much cheaper cost than the US counterpart. US is looking to implement their cost saving measures as they cannot purchase non domestic equipment. Instead of the F-16, Philippines may consider the F-35 C in smaller numbers combined with at least 2 short take-off air craft carriers. To save cost, these can be sourced from Japan and can also support mid to long range helos. Ingat!

Why not include that in the joint exercises? There are thousands of still worthy jet fighters in the US boneyards. But jet pilot talents are not easily accessible when war breaks and having a pool of them would be a great advantage. Another area to focus on, which is less expensive, are drones, of which we might be able to manufacture/produce ourselves in due time. Just a thought...

Well with the current "this will do" mindset and on-going corruption of some individuals within the organization in the country that supposed to handle this type of concerns, PH will just go with the bare-minimum of light weight trainer aircraft converted as light fighter trainer aircraft (let me emphasize the word TRAINER. Still hoping that someday this situation change for the better. Until then we can only wish 🤞🏼
