I’m taking Chem as a sophomore as well and it’s so easy for me, maybe because I’m a math nerd lol. But comments from other videos are making me really nervous about taking AP Chem next year 😭
I don't think u should worry abt the math because if you understand the chemistry part of the calculation, the math part makes sense and is not that hard
As an AP chem student i think the most important thing is to have fun, obviously some teachers don't like that but our class is really close with each other and we trash each other before tests and make meth lab jokes and stuff, really creates a bright spot in my day
I love my 13 year old self so much. I randomly got bored of studying geography one day and then decided to memorize the periodic table, and I still remember it.
4:21 for anyone actually studying, it's not Argon, it's Silver. The symbol for Silver is Ag because of its latin root, Argentum, and Argon's symbol is Ar; don't mix these up!
Well as AP chemistry student I can tell you to be prepare to give at least 2 hours of your life only to chemistry and you have to do most of the reading plus sometimes if you won't have enough time to finish your lab so prepare to either finish it after school or before school. It's a rough course and I wouldn't suggest to take more AP that year
Same thing with me. We’re kind of flying through shit right now, and I have to finish crap way after we have our weekly meetings (I’m taking online), because I have to do meetings on the bus ride home.
Dammit, I'll be taking 4 other AP's along with this one ;-; I still have a chance to swap but then again I have to take an AP science course my senior year, choices being AP physics, AP environmental science, and AP chem. What do u recommend, should I stick with chem?
I do think this is an AWESOME, cute, and helpful video, but Ag is SILVER not ARGON. Ar is Argon. (said at 4:21) You said Argon is a transition metal and then it pointed to Ag (Silver)...
It's definetely a challenging course, but with enough practice and if you make sure you understand what you are learning, it is definetely achievable! Plus, it is a great foundation for other science courses you might take!
@@crazytaco008 If I’m being completely honest, my AP chem teacher sucks this year and doesn’t teach her course well. All of my other AP classes are going smoothly, but I’m constantly lost in AP Chem. I regret signing up for it, but if you trust that you’ll have a good teacher then I think you’ll be fine. The workload isn’t always easy, though.
@@kyunult6369 I'll ask some AP Chem students around my campus too see if the teacher is on the better side of teaching before signing up then. Thanks for the response, and hope you do well In your classes! :)
Oh no...I took chem as a sophomore and it was 100% online, making it much harder to actually learn stuff. Now I'm a senior and I'm taking this class without a drop of passion for chem. Any advice?

I took reg chem as a sophomore and loved it so I really feel I'd love it a bit more challenging. I'm just nervous about the workload and math.

@Keith Gray Lol I'm doing the same thing. No need to worry as long as you make time for studying it and stay self-disciplined to get the work done.
How’d it go?
@Free Bird bye i got stuck in ap bio and i don’t even bother to study 😭 i make F’s on everything and the projects save my ass 😭

Thanks Gordon Ramsay
