My Military retirement in a few years gonna be around $5,000 a month. I bought some land for $14,000 by Punta Cana and building me a nice little house for 60k with a pool/ Jacuzzi. So this money will go a long way for me. I do have my dual citizenship so so I can buy my gun and other items. US brands arent the best too many chemicals, I buy the local stuff less ingredients. Yes there is a lot more accidents there and the cops really need to start cracking down fr.
@kevinmarshall3198 its good to know about the VA hospitals there that awesome and I already bough some land and building a house with a pool for 60k, I think not paying rent will help save me a lot.

Bro, for shipping forwarding, you should use Blumbox, which charges about 185-190 pesos per pound. And in my opinion, food is way more expensive in the USA than here. For 6,000 pesos, I can feed three people. For the same cost in the USA, that only feeds myself. Plus, I have to cook more here because I get tired of Dominican food all the time. And Dominicans are not adept at cooking ethnic cuisine. So I cook things like Thai food, pasta, Chinese and Indian on my own. I trust my cooking, not theirs. Plus, I hate to be disappointed when I eat out.

As a dominican i can live in santo domingo with less than 2000k a month, people get crazy cause the want to live like they Rich, they want to go to punta Cana and spend 2k, that will not happen, punta Cana is a 10k live style per month so if anyone wants to move to the Dominican Republic pick your city wisely, every city has the bubble, their safe spot so don't get crazy about crime cause there's crime everywhere in the world
