$155 USD Monthly Rent | Apartment Tour in Dominican Republic

My rent went from 167 dollars USD to 155 USD and I this video I’ll give you an apartment tour, tell you why I live here, and how I long plan to stay there. Plus this gave me an excuse to clean my apartment or so I thought.

1. Now I live in Dominican Republic
- That shouldn’t tell you that my rent is cheap because of that
- Because I’ve seen apartments here that rent for US prices
- So its not the country or island where you live that makes the difference ( its going to be where you chose to live inside that place )
So I’m currently Located around San Pedro de Macoris
- Its like 1 hour away from the capital
- Almost 2 hours to punta cana
- So its far away from where all the tourist like living ( its where the local live )
Why do I live here:
- I was born here
- My family is from here
- And I like it
- Plus I found a great church here
2. So lets Show you some of my Apartment
- This is a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment
- Buts really like a 1 bedroom because room is used an office
3. How long do I plan to stay here
- As a single person I can be here forever
- However I get married God willing
- This will not be sufficiet but I do hate moving
So my idea is simple:
- Most likely I’ll be here for 12-24 months and it could be less
- But when I do move, it won’t be to my house or my own apartment.
- I will probably continue to keep renting
However my preference would be this:
- An apartment with 3 bedroom where I could have an office and potentially the start of a family
- This way we have tiime to decide where would be the best place to buy or the best place to build
Another idea ive thought of was this:
- Spend 12-24 months here
- While we switch for an apartment that’s a 3 bedroom and I buy it
- We stay their semi long term and then buy or buuild a house and move out ( but have a rental property also )
