Hello everyone! WIth this video I want to help people to see how to install Contra 009 BETA mod for Generals Zero Hour. It is not that hard but many people don't know how to do it. So I hope this helps.

Download the Fixed Launchers from:

Installation instructions:
Extract Contra009Beta.rar. Copy all contents of the extracted folder to your Zero Hour directory. To play the mod, open "Contra Launcher.exe".
You will find startup options such as music, language, unit voices, etc. Decide your preferences and click "Launch".
Contra will auto-detach itself from Zero Hour on exit, so that you can launch original Zero Hour or any other mod.
** The launcher runs under Windows XP now. **
Manual installation instructions for those having problems with launcher:
1. Put all files from Contra009Beta into your Zero Hour folder.
2. Rename !Contra009Beta.ctr to !Contra009Beta.big.
3. Rename !Contra009BetaEN.ctr to !Contra009BetaEN.big OR rename !Contra009BetaRU.ctr to !Contra009BetaRU.big if you want Russian language.
4. Rename !Contra009BetaVOrig.ctr to !Contra009BetaVOrig.big OR rename !Contra009BetaVLoc.ctr to !Contra009BetaVLoc.big if you want English unit voices.
5. Rename !Contra009BetaMNew.ctr to !Contra009BetaMNew.big OR rename !Contra009BetaMStandard.ctr to !Contra009BetaMStandard.big if you want vanilla soundtracks.
6. Rename Scripts folder to Scripts1 (which is located inside Data folder).
7. Start the game from generals.exe.
Zero Hour version 1.04 is required!
This version contains a built-in localization fix for non-English Generals. Those players should no longer have missing content.
It is recommended to use Standard unit voices since the Original (native) voices don't work properly. Some units use English voices instead. It was caused by our localization fix. It will be fixed in the next versions.

Of course it won't work for me if I try it on my own and it seems I am, again, the only damn person with this issue. I also put all of the files into the second zero hour folder, ran the launcher but nothing changes the game. I'm playing through Origin and nowhere did I find a solution on google.

is there a no-cd fix for this?
I have a no-cd for vanilla zerohour, but it does nto carry over to contra mod and asks for the cd.
yay i figured out how to make mine work...every time i clicked Launch, it immediately said "Could not launch (something like that)", but it works fine when i run as administrator

So, I followed everything precisely, and the mod works well, except for one thing, I get an error if I spend too much time in a battle (est. 30-50 minutes is when I get it). Any ideas why?

+-GG- PeRSuN Quick query, is the "Fixed Launchers" download actually required if you are using the Generals Zero Hour digital version from Origin? (The C&C Ultimate Collection)
If I've understood the video correctly, the "Fixed Launchers" are only needed if you use the Contra launcher, but if you manually install it and also rename the 4x .ctr files to .big types as you did in the video, then the "Fixed Launchers" don't seem necessary.
Again, that's if I've understood it correctly.
I don't suppose you could clarify the above please?

Well, after my pc got a wipe i can no longer launch any mods and nothing works not even the main game it self. so i'm not sure what to do, C&C generals zero hour is and was my childhood game.

When i open my contra launcher exe. it just says could not launch contra. But when i change those 4 files from .ctr to .big it just says you have encountered a serious error. and then it continues saying that these kind of errors can be caused by hardware being overheated and stuff like that so fuck it i give up i was sitting behind my computer for 4 hours trying to donwload different patches and versions of contra but nothing works........If anybody has some suggestions please help.

Manual installation does not work if you have multiple mods in the same folder.
It says something about not being able to find final.bmp
When I launch the mod it doesn't give the contra starting screen just the zero hour loading screen

Yes, you can by making a new clean c&c zero hour folder then place the contra in the new c&c zero hour folder then there you have it two mods

Follwoing Problem i have installed the mod manually but aber i start a game the flame robot and explosive ai sell their headquarters after its start and the ai on insane is so easy that i tjink i play on easy because they build no money buildings. Could you help me i love the mod but as to play is boring.
+Donis 93 Most exciting thing in Contra is Challenge mode. Try to play Challenge on Hard difficulty, and you will be destroyed long before you reach any AI :) Good Luck!

I can just say that we dont have enough people in team to work on AI, but we do our best to improve a and looking for some help. Everyone that knows to script AI is welcome to our team and everybody who can help us, mappers, testers, modelers.... But AI is improved fro the last 008 FINAL version of Contra mod.

+Tornike Dzadzua Your EA games folder is probably in: C:\Program Files\EA Games\Command&Conquer Generals Zero Hour.
That is default location where EA games should be installed. If you change your destination manually than you must find it.

Search on google. Type Generals Zero Hour Torrent and you will find. 1.04 you can also find on google by typing zero hour patch 1.04 and download it.
but every time i want to patch the downloaded file it brings an error by saying Missing or Invalid Registry/INI entry
