- So i've been busy with TRYING to fix Command and conquer generals zero hour on Windows 10. For me it works, I hope it works for you to.

I have first played this game at 11 years old when it came out and couldn't stop... remembered about it last year and started to search it but couldn't find any fixes for windows 10... i've searched and searched and eventually gave up, but this one video came up on my recommended.. i do not regret watching it. (i fucking love you mate)
I have Windows 10 pro x64 and the original CnC Generals and ZH CD's. I tried every little trick I could find to get ZH to work with no luck. So I tried this and ZH started up perfectly. Thank you very much... You're Awesome!

legend, i had recently updated from win8.1 to windows 10 x64, decided to have a quick game the other day and nothing was happening. uninstalled both generals and zero hour. fresh install and followed your instructions and voilla. just had a quick skirmish there. the game never gets old hahaha. one thing i would advise is to find out the resolution of the screen you currently use and adjust it in the options.ini file. that way you will have a full screen instead of partial screen. thanks again. your a legend. dublin ireland

worked like a charm for me, thank you very much..I had problems with both generals and zero hour and both work great now.. one more thing, on the options file I added the 1920 1080 on resolution..thx again :)
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I had gotten it to work on this computer before but then I reset a Windows 10 and it wasn't a simple fix anymore (I think all I needed last time was the options.ini file but I can't remember). Anyway, I really appreciate it.

This just worked perfectly for me 11/13/19! This is the ONLY tutorial that did out of multiple videos! Thank you very much for allowing me to play this legendary RTS game again! ☺ I'm just wondering why the hell they don't bring this to steam so we can play multiplayer again,!?This game has a huge following.. Steam has other c&c games..do you think it's because we're too "WOKE" now and this would be somehow seen as too controversial because of terrorists and also China being in the game?.. If so that's the case that's just stupid. :( I also wish they'd make a Generals 2 one day,that would sell like hotcakes if done correctly..
took me an 2 hours before finding this fix.... thx - works great. Despite having genuine C&C it refused to work in win 10 even with super user permissions.

Thanks a lot. It worked. Though it did not want to apply the patch saying "Old file does not exist". The game still worked after applying steps 3 and 4.

This works i Copied the options to BOTH the command and conquer data files and i replaced the Game.dat and Generals.exe! :D

For anyone who is stuck!
1) Download files
2) Extract them
3) Update C&C with the updater (in files)
4) Then copy 'Options' into C&C Directory
5) Then go to the game icon
6) Right click and run as administrator
hope it helped pretty much what the video was for but eh
Iam just gonna add to this, because i was stuck in searching for the directory. You need to start the game after updating, even when it crashes, it will create the folder to put "Options" in. Also thanks RandomCompStuffz and ItsBravos Vlogs, it works.
i just did what you exactly said but after i click c&c zero hour my screen go black and said display going to sleep pls help mee!!!!!!

damn! this is really work for me.. just copy it and save options.ini (Windows 10), check compatibility with windows xp version 2 and then the last thing to do is to run administrator. you will get what you need
downloading the game from the correct source is also important. alot of faulty game versions out there. then finally installing gentool after game install is complete
