- With Contra 009 Final being released I thought I would make little video showing how to download the Mod and the installation process.

Contra is a freeware modification for Command and Conquer Generals: Zero Hour real-time strategy game. It's a big project started in 2004. It adds many new units as well as numerous new upgrades, new general's powers and buildings. It also adds new sounds, maps, bug fixes, enhanced graphics, and other effects, as well as three new generals.

Would it be possible to install Contra 009 the same way that other mods are installed (by replacing the game files with the Contra Files, so you open and play the game normally, but it's changed, because the game files are changed).
hey ive downloaded generals but it doesnt show up by my generals file ...
Is there a reason you needed Origin to get ZH to work? I had some serious problems getting it to run on my laptop. When I first got it, it installed just fine... but then I reformatted and the game (and others) became extremely hard to impossible to get them to work. I somehow managed to get Generals and ZH to work... but now I can't get Contra 009 to work no matter what I do. It's one problem after another... and since fixing all the other problems and errors, it now just crashes before it loads (like it loads and crashed before I get to actually see anything, so the resolution only changes for a fraction of a second... or if windowed, the window opens for a fraction of a second with no sound or image).
my download folder doesn't have all of readme and other stuff just 4 items and luncher and folder called vpn

How to get generals.exe file?
Hi there,
I did all that, but when i click on the Conra Launcher, it says "you installed the contra in the wrong folder" i transformed all the files to one file and is still not working and also there are some files i do not see them in mine such as script ..etc?
Can you advise on that?

I would just say make sure they are installed and extracted to the second zero hour folder / just dump them in there - don’t need to put them in a data or script folder

Them on origin or go into control panel / programs and features and uninstall

Ive busted a gut trying to get it working according to moddb instructions (I dont think they account for Origin ZH players) and its just not happening for me errors popping up I think you said it you made it happen so please show me

Btw the version 10 of Project Raptor on moddb appears useless I'm just bangin my head gainst a wall trying to get it working
If I just knew where to download whatever version of PR you have installed (PR 9x is it?) I would be halfway to getting sorted

When i do usr 7 zip and load the launcher it doesnt do anything. Anyone had this issue? It just loads
you extracted the files to the right location ? and you might need to run it as administrator

Changes-all super unit will be built as one only

To be fair that’s good for balancing issues as sometimes the super units are too overpowered 😱
Specially the guan yu
Think the Seraph and the Nuke general super unit take the biscuit too 😂
Mistake:the super units can still be built as many as you can
@@adrianarmour9400 It depends on Tournament Mode option.
is this game just as hard as previous versions, or did they tone it down for "easy" mode players? every time i play, i find myself getting clobbered with literally no defenses.....seriously one or two factions don't have defense turrets.....not even radar, so they have to pan around the map to find the enemy (used a couple China factions, radar truck for locating stealth, but enemy still blasted me from afar)
its got a pretty steep learning curve and I struggle on it at times as well. Best bet is to just watch videos of people more competent that me lol
@@ColdbloodGamingEntertainment I played one of the new generals, flame type, but the General I faced off against (Marine type, has purple Particle cannons) blew me away no matter what i threw at her, her EMP patriots were tearing me up, even the island defenses.....not to mention the mini-me ion defenses.
@@ColdbloodGamingEntertainment one thing i noticed when playing....no angry mob...one of my favorites.
ebee8472 I don’t tend to use the angry mobs that often myself I prefer my armour
@@ColdbloodGamingEntertainment air power: gunships, commanches, etc. went against lady general, and her EMP patriots made short work of anything i threw at her. same thing when playing as her, vs flame general; sent 50+ helo's to flatten flame general base.
