Having covered Global and Super Ultimates, the next list of abilities I wanna talk about are Steroid Ultimates, and whether or not they're creative or boring designs.

You forgot about Singed
Overwolf to take all ressources from my PC, I am not that stupid.
Tested overwolf multiple times over years and always the same result. Hard FPS Drops.
you mean the thing that is always out of stock on all its rewards and once you get enough the prices go up....
sorry thought you might want to know
why is rumble ult a super ult, its worst than corki package
My opinion is "Boring in design, but extremely fun in practice"
They are way too simple but make you feel like a raid boss
This is a great way to explain it
I agree with this, there’s nothing than being the nasus with 700 stacks, you click R and now you have the entire team shitting bricks just trying to survive the hardest they can
Or zeri clicking R and kiting circles around
Or aatrox going from 10% to 80% hp in half a second while killing your entire team with their 3 hit
@@penguin5848 Look I never said they were babalnced
of course looking at it from the opponents perspective, since it's just temporary strong statstick, a lot of the time it becomes either run away and hide under tower, or just feels like there's nothing you can do
for the person using it it's fun but for the opponent it just encourages not interacting with the game
@@SpiffSpaff There is still more than enough counterplay to most of them.
Amazed that you did not mention Singed's ult, which literally makes him run faster and deal more damage. Of course, just doing better what he's already been doing.
Yah i was surprised too.
Its a important part of his kit tho sience its deceptably strong on what it allows to do.
I was going to say the same, and the regen it gives especially can bait people in. I'd say his is one of my favorite steroid ults.
Like riot, he forgot he existed
It’s Karma all over again 😀
he can not mention every single steroid ult
I think Swain’s ultimate plays well into his power fantasy. As a frontline commanding general but most importantly his theme of seeming weak and crippled only to unleash dark powers on any mortal foolish enough to challenge him
And he pops out wings
Also the demon head screaming in top of him just when you ult, it's honestly one of my favorites ultimates.
it’s very satisfying and i love his rework. It makes sense with his kit
@@eloeden2056 his original rework wasn't really that good even so I loved it, but the new mini rework is pretty good.
Old swain was much funnier anyway. I miss him
Don't forget the "Thos isn't even my final form" if the enemy team gets aced
I think steroid ultimates are some of the more enjoyable ultimates, for both the player and enemies alike. Since these kind of ultimates are just stat buffs and in some cases slight ability alterations , it allows the player to be far more skill-expressive than something like a huge burst of damage. It also allows enemies to easily identify when a champ is ready to fight and gives them time to react. I'd argue most people find swain's ultimate more enjoyable to fight than something like veigar insta-deleting you.
Well put. I definitely agree that theyre better on both side than the tap-to-kills.
I've been flash-ulted by veigar multiple times. A few ranked games ago my sivir mid went about 1/12. I was doing pretty alright on ezreal and was kiting well. He flash ulted me, I died at 1500 hp, and said "outplayed" in all chat. Funniest thing that has happened to me in a while
Yes I agree, Nasus ult is more exciting to use/fight against
@@Demoninst you mean "holy shit run" in lane
There are some that I feel uncomfortable fighting against: Nasus and Yi. I feel that the only thing I can do is run or fight with my team while hoping none of us die.
Aatrox has my favorite of the steroid ults, as it takes his regular gameplan and cranks it up to 11. It feels a lot more substantial than a regular stat increase.
All the numbers in it are tailor made to force Aatrox players to drop the skirmishing/spacing strat they would use in neutral and just go all in. Movespeed boost + low uptime means they're encouraged to just get in and try to kill as many champs as possible as fast as possible, and the extra AD/self healing boost is what enables him to do so.
Each kill flashes the screen red, you get a very nice audio boom, movespeed comes back at full throttle, and Aatrox gets even bigger. It's a pure rush of a steroid meant to feed the fantasy of a violent and unhinged warrior god, and I think it does so incredibly well.
I’m the friend of an Aatrox OTP, and yeah, whenever he pops ult, the gameplay is completely different. I don’t think Vars gave much credit to how different an Aatrox player acts when they pop ult. Agreed, good point.
@@Sevolin It's so nice getting ganked by a low-cc jg into a low-cc lane and just popping ult and 1v2ing
@@johnmcnulty9985 or when you just one a early game fight with no hp hitting lv 6 and then the enemy jg come to try to finish you off, kite backwards with q 1, w pop ult and run him down as you turn what they thought was an easy and quick kill into a one lane for you
Popping Aatrox ult feels like when you get 5 stacks on Darius and you q flash into the team fight
@@可爱龙02 5 stack Flash Q feels like sex, shit feels great. Last time I hit that I nailed a penta playing Duskblade Darius. Its goofy but its fun af.
Theres nothing quite like the feeling then space jamming some poor laner and basket dunking them as volibear before mauling tf outta them as a god bear as their tower is powwrless to save them.
Best of both worlds. Some utility and dmg together with still feeling like an absolute unit afterwards
I love steroid ults. They're not the most complicated things or usually too creative but as a player they feel awesome. It's that big "kick" that lets you go full "Super Saiyan" for a while. They also highlight an important fact about design -- "interesting design" != good. It can be good but it's not a requirement. Lots of people like simple design concepts too.
I'd love a video on low cooldown ultimates, like Kassadin, Corki, Zoe, Anivia, Kog'maw, LeBlanc, Quinn, Samira, and Teemo. Their ultimates don't even seem like ultimates, but they drastically change the champion once they get them
Really good idea!
I think it depends on the execution of the Steroid Ultimate- for instance, Zeri's Lightning Crash changes her Q from a seven-hit burst to a three-hit burst and gives it extra AoE, which is a very noticeable change to her playstyle, whereas something like Aatrox's World Ender is just normal Aatrox, but larger. In my mind, stat-increasing abilities (Ultimates or basic abilities) should be more than just a stat increase. Tristana's Q is just an attack speed increase, whereas Xayah's W is an attack speed increase that also gives a double-strike, and Ashe's Q is an attack speed increase that changes her attacks from one hit to a five-hit flurry. They aren't necessarily that different, since they each serve the same purpose- making the champion attack faster for the duration- but Ashe and Xayah's attack speed increasing abilities are given at least the illusion of being more complex and interesting, even if they aren't actually that different. The same can be said for Zeri's Lightning Crash and Swain's Demonic Ascension- even if they don't actually make the champion's gameplay that different, they give the illusion that they do.
TL;DR, I think it ultimately comes down to the *aesthetic* complexity of the steroid- regardless of how much of a change the steroid makes, if it looks and feels like it makes a big change, it won't feel boring.
Swain pops wings and turns into dilf Sepiroth that is inherently cool
Even belveths ult after baron and scuttle serve the purpose of hard pushing a wave thanks to the minion passive. With nasus and jax it just feels like “well I’m bigger now”. At least aatrox gives a sense of more lifesteal.
@@defensivepotato1998 Jax is kinda mediocre with the ult since the active is literally just “I take less damage” while Nasus gets a max health% sunfire and 50% cdr on his q on top of getting physically larger and tankier
@@FulgurHalcyon yeah, but Jaxes power from ult is in ults passive. He gets so much more damage from it even if the ult itself is kinda boring.
Swains ult definitely changes his playstyle. It only continuing if you're actively draining a champ, and the recast, makes it extremely important to stick to a group of enemies - where as swain without ult will never position in the middle of a fight.
I'm glad you mentioned Renekton. Dominus is (in my opinion) the best possible way to implement a steroid ultimate. Not only is it a big, cool way of showing the enemies that "it's go time", but you also get more than just raw stats. Renekton could surprise a group of 3 enemies with a gigantic heal by combo'ing R and Q, or he could suddenly decimate an adc who thought they could pick him off with an empowered w. It perfectly enhances the character and his theme. In my opinion, as long as there is more than stats involved, and as long as it also grants more options for the player (to an extent), I think steroid ultimates are better in general.
As a Singed main I’m looking very forward to see what you have to say.
I was hoping to see a like-minded individual here ❤️
U guys exsist?
@@mivqu3249 i even stream it. Life is weird😀
... Nothing at all haha
@@SuperRitz44 He straight up just forgot about Singed 💀
I think it is creative. It gives a champion a certain identity. Now I shall prompt Riot to switch Whirling Death with Blood Rush. So that my inting abilities can be pushed further.
As a Mundo and Bel'Veth player, I personally think steroid ultimates are an amazing way to deviate the focus on their ultimate, and make the rest of the kit more unique.
Mundo w Garbo.
@@ethanpeeples6187 kinda, yeah.
Belverh recibe daño de torres
what a sad life play renekton or riven at least you will have fun
@@choika5027 i actually have a lot of fun playing league lmao
Personally, i love steroid Ultimates, using them fell like: "Now we are getting serius" or "Lets get this party started" type of moment, they might not be flashy, but they sure are fun to use
You're telling me the level 18 11/0 Aatrox screaming "LET BLOOD BE OUR SACRAMENT" as he charges at your entire team isn't flashy?
There are only 2 options here:
-Either your ult marginally improves your basic kit, wich means your champ might as well not have an ult, and it would work the same
-Or your champ is only enabled by its ult, wich means the champion is no threat without it
There just isn't a lot of wiggle room for mechanicaly expressive gameplay to be had from "press a button for extra stats" beyond "I run from them" or "they run from me"
Or third option:
-Your enemy also has an ult with combat pressure so that popping your steroid ult isnt an autowin.
Like for example, Zeri’s ult isnt worth much if she gets hit by a hard cc ult.
However I do think that steroid ults on champs that already are “stat checkers” is bad and boring design. Nasus and Trundle come to mind here, where the only outplay to them clicking the R button on their keyboard is to run, since their entire kit is just either getting stats or removing stats from you
@@Dingdong2730 well i agree nasus and trundel are not the best but renekton i have fun to play with and against maybe because i know well the champ and my ennemy less than i do but seems fair fight from both side
@@choika5027 Renekton is not really a stat checker, so him having a steroid ultimate isnt as bad. Renekton is a lvl 3 champion, if you understand what I mean by this, where it doesnt want to all-in from full but wants to keep forcing a very strong and 1-sided trade pattern in the base kit. Sort of like Camille, Jayce, Pantheon etc.
@@Dingdong2730 his lvl 3 is strong but i prefer have 2 or 3 point in my Q to trade but yeah
"They might be strong but they arent win buttons"
*Also trynda pressing the funny outplay button and tower diving me
I think they're something of a palette cleanser in terms of abilities. Usually not fancy enough to warrant being the center of attention (like outrageous outplay abilities are), but necessary to give us a break from the overdesigned essays of other abilities. Basic bread and butter abilities like steroid ults may be "boring" but they have a place at the table.
I miss Ryze steroid ultimate vs the team teleport. He really seems like a battle mage with his old ultimate to use the power of his runes
YES, bring battle mage blue boi bacc!
holy shit i forgot he had the spellvamp steroid awhile back
I wouldn't call Swain's R a pure steroid. His R makes him go from a pick champion with poor burst to a dps drain tank, . The only thing about his R that enhances his basic kit identity is the E cooldown reduction.
his r damage is literary negative damge , it is si low that the enmy wont even notice it
Same with aatrox
@@delusionofillusion473 its really good damage if they cant burst you, since it hits everyone in a radius
@@alex2005z it is negligible , his r continuous damage was nerfed by 33% ap rationand 25 % flat damage , then his replosion was nerfed by 40% ap ratio , his q was nerfed by 16.66% ap , his passive damage removed , his w damage reduced by 21.5% ap ratio , and for what ? his healing on r is same as before after nerfs , same with passive healwhich is lower , he only has 2 positive out of this whole rework , his e and health gain from passive , the change on ult where it is endless , is usless cause you had a 14 sec long ult befor , and a huge aoe nuke after and fights usually end by then . tey also removed the health he gains from using r and ending it which was a lot so the healing is even less than before , plus he gained double the stack on r earlier , so he only got buffed on his e and stacks , everything else was just nerfed , and still morons think it ws a buff and that is why his wr increwased , you wanna know why his wr increased ,? simple they reduced his r cooldown so much that you have it for every fight , while the other swain had along cd on ult , and witout ult u dont do muc in fights , that is why his wr increased , , now it should be decreasing . plus did you know that h wasnt even layed much espite being god , he had a low play rate , after the rework play rate increased , whuich also contributes to higher wr , overall this was the biggest scam i have ever seen , they nerfed him so hard yet people think it is a buff , the r healing is less than before , u dont get health on cat , w less damage , q less damage , passive no damage
old swain was alot better as a drain tank tho, New swain cant decide if he is a battle mage, a burst mage, or a tank
Steroids based on lore are great, Riven broken blade upgrade or Nasus/Renek assension, Singed can have a rework based on his current gimmick and steroids (his chemistry)
Maybe for the next iteration of this series you could talk about combo ultimates like Lillia, Vel'Koz, and Vladimir, or spammable Ultimates like Kassidin, Anivia, or Teemo.
You said y’all were trying something out, so I’d like to take this opportunity to tell you that the graphic at 3:36 - where details from the wiki page are more directly overlaid - is very pleasing to the eye and I’d love to see it used again.
I think of them as: Simple but effective. While they don't have too much depth, just that little boost is enough to change the tides to your favor, and timing is everything, who never felt awesome while pressing R at the right time during a teamfight with Tryndamere, Nasus or Volibear, it feels so good to become an unkillible barbarian while 5 people still trying to smash your face
For Aesthetics, I think Volibear and Aatrox have some of the coolest ultimates. The sense of "raid boss" power you feel when using them. They feel kinda like anime tropes where a character is getting beaten and suddenly unlocks their hidden power to defeat their enemy.
Title of the video: Steroid Ultinates
Singed ulti: literal steroid injected
The video: no Singed included
Steroid ults are probably my favorite type in the game. There’s nothing more satisfying than seeing the enemy team chasing you on aatrox or nasus and just popping ult and essentially saying “aight sparky square tf up.”
funny that he wrote this video before knowing how broken belveth's stats are from her r.
I think Renekton's Dominus is easily not only one of the best designed steroid ultimates in the game, but also ultimates in general. It fits perfectly with his Fury mechanic while also giving you that raid boss vibe and a significant boost in combat power.
Honestly my favorite league content creator i personally love the natural but realistic outlook on the state of the game
If only shyvana's final form steroid was actually strong
Take a dragon-boosted fireball and come back to me. The whole point of that ult is to turn her into the "Dragon raid boss" complete with sweeping attacks and devastating flame breath.
@@DarkwillsEnd I don't need to experience it as a shyvana one trick. The ult sucks major ass as does the rest of her kit that's been a fact for a couple years now and the big reason why she's on the rework list every year as wel as internally at riot ( mentioned after the last poll).
Singed with no Ult: *Need for Speed*
Singed with Ult: *I AM SPEED!*
out of the 4 thumbnails, this is the best one.
like how in these videos you can find afew clips of somebody getting insta killed or being inf stunned
4:23 t-posing sona be bing chillin
They should revert Renektons hp gain from ult, it used to be the highest in the game, now Nasus gets more then him while also gaining resitances AND halfed cd on Q.
Steroids, especially ults, have one more important facets. Enemy's response and availability of counterplay. They are just fair, fair as in readable and clearly telegraphed not actually balanced. Everybody can see that say Vayne ulted and she is about to fight or lose a lot of pressure, both allies and enemies, there is no bluffing, no tension, no surprise. When this happens enemy have ability to respond CC, counter with debuff, disengage or even manfight.
First, I just want to say that I really enjoyed the video! I revisited since Briar will be coming out to live soon. Nevertheless, I have a comment: 9:05 I made this mistake a short while ago so thought to share. "Begs the question" means that you are, essentially, engaging in circular reasoning. It called the "begging the question" fallacy! What you are actually meaning to say is "raises the question." :D
Swain’s is the best steroid ult because I like Swain
Sir, please do not overlook Singed's ultimate since its literally steroids. A mention to Yasuo ult would be nice too, but dunno if that counts. Ty anyways
i personally like the old thumb nail focus on the ult icons
the best steroid Ult is Kalista's. You are already throwing by picking her, but with her Ult you can literally throw
Have you considered making a video where you talk about what League could take from other Mobas? For example, they could talent trees HotS or items from Dota 2 like Refresher Orb. You could also about Smite etc
yeah nah
I second this!
no mention of singed, a literal steroid that last the whole teamfight and the whole margana's combo
Aatrox mains can testify the nut inducing feeling of racking up kills in world ender n hearing the sound play each time. Especially if you get multiple kills back to back.
Morde ult is basically made to turn around teamfights, ult the high magic damage dealer, kill them, then wipe the enemy team with the stolen stats
Pretty much the only steroid ultimate champion i play is zeri.
When you use lightning crush, it feels like this is the actual champion, and anything before was just a build up. You basically become the ultimate kite machine for a few moments
Personally I think transformation ults are the best in the game, a temporary massive power boost makes you very powerful while it lasts. Fun to play as, and unlike other ults you generally pop it at the start of the fight so players facing it don't have to bear in mind that someone has a point and click execute or anything like that, what you see is what you get.
I do take issue with reset mechanics on them though, as part of the charm is the set duration, knowing if you can outlast it you swing the fight.
I love playing zeri
Running around shooting everyone is actually fun
Until they catch you that is
But with volibear you don't want to catch him
I really prefer the Steroid Ultimate thumbnail, with the champ portraits & everything. The old version, with just abilities in a circle, I find quite boring in comparison + the newest version had more information that was also more easily digestible!
Singed mains absolutely seething having a traditional raid boss ult, literally just giving him every stat
They are quite literally the Transformation/Super Saiyan/Final Form power fantasy. It's like, the coolest shit ever.
Lulu's ult is an interesting steroid, in that while the buff itself isn't as great as other buffs,(max health and a slowing field around the target) the fact that you can cast it on other Champs and the giant knock-up on cast adds a lot more interesting decision making in terms of who to cast it on or when
As a support main. Everytime I go to the top lane I go for "The bigger stick wins" type of champion so i love steroid ultimates , they're balanced enough to get countered and to outplay the enemy
the thumbnails are fine im just waiting for Nasus vs Renek video
my two fav steriod ults have to be nasus and atrox they are just so fun to play ecpecialy with all the healing
These are my fav type of ultimates tbh
Surprised you barely mentioned Alistar. Used to be the most iconic buff ultimate in the game, just flat reducing all damage dealt by up to 70%. But with all the true damage and max % health in the game his ultimate feels so much weaker than it used too. Leona W makes you tankier than an Alistar ult in alot of situations and that just feels wrong. Too bad he is so good in pro play because I would love him to see some buffs. Lower the damage resistance but make it apply to true damage as well, or have it scale up with every hit he takes (like .5/1/2% increase and 1 sec increased duration for every damage instance capped at 10 sec)
the low quality frog is crazy
@vars, you left my boy Singed, the poster boy for steroids
Anyone else waiting for Vars to bust out the Three Hopes soundtrack?
I love Nasus's ult because you basically go from funny dog bonk to OH NO PLEASE GOD SPARE ME PLEASE
that's probably the worst steroid ult in the game
i am a Swain main, everytime i ult, i can feel like a human becoming a "demon" and just control the fight like chess
I think vlad ult can also be regarded as steroid because in 1v1 scenario if they take more damage that means you do more damage. In a 1v1 scenario his ult is equivalent to Riven’s ult.
If there's no steroid Ult, windwall &/or Spellshield comps will be the new meta. And Fiora, Gwen, Pantheon, fizz, vlad, anyone with untargetability here and there.
And Crown will be the only Ap mythic item to get, to block those instant ults, where steroid ults just oftens outlasts them.
I like the new take with the thumpnail design, i think ist looks great
I like this thumbnail better than the last few
I think that steriod ults are the best type. Instead of something like a super ult where it feels like a legit win button with little skill expression but everything else in your kit is lame, you have something where you go almost "super saiyan" and are challenged on how well you can truly use your champion's full kit. I'm biased because I'm a riven OTP and she has a very OP one, but i think that its better than if it was *just* the windslash because it basically gives you more damage and all these tools to be able to preform stronger in a fight, and then just tells you to make the best of it. It's truly left up to how good you are with the champion, but still super satisfying to activate one and feel like you're doing some kind of anime powerup.
"don't have the whole power budget in your ult" laught in swain main
My personal favorite, which is biased, is Volibear's because it does more than just give him health. Honestly the bonus health isn't much but the fact he can use it for multiple purposes makes it awesome in my opinion. Sure a bit of hp can help but the gap close, escape tool, or tower dive options it opens are invaluable and make it way more unique imo
I feel like their is a distinction between classes on that subject. Markesmen ultimate steroids are a great form of skill expression because they offer little protection. You have to position correctly and use it when you get the most out of it.
Mordekaiser steals stats from his target if he kills them in his ult. Making him tanky, attack faster, or just increase his bonk's damage depending on who you take in. Which I think is a good way of rewarding a mordekaiser's target selection and lets him have fun after his ult in team fights. Same with Swain. An activee then passive is just soooo much better than hit button and do more of your think
Trust me I'm not getting bored of playing temo
Anyone here remember old Sion's lifesteal ult? weren't those the days
"I would like to thank our sponsor," Froge 🐸
The best designed steroid ulti is shyvana it makes you feel bad ass it fundamentally changes her and even though its really boring in the case of ap shyv it makes her feel so much better
Steroid ult completely change how you play the champ for a short time. Vayne ult makes her so much fun, jumping through shadows and hitting hard.
I love Twitch R because it makes you so strong in a fight and I love to glide
2:24 and now we can tell Bel vet too
I don't play him, but I think Twitch has the best steroid ult in terms of how dramatically it boosts his threat level and making an impression visually. Though I'd say Vayne or Trynd need theirs the most, and Shyvana has the coolest final form.
Still waiting for the next in the factions series! Would love to see Shurima or Mt. Targon!
Steroid ultimates are fun. When volibear jumps in and goes ooga booga, you know its gonna be a fight. When Nasus ults, you know you gotta either run or fight, and honestly thats the fun part. Steroid ultimates create a scenario of response. Zeri jumps into the air and sniffs an undetermined amount of drugs to become speed itself, you will instantly think "Can I take her?" and all that follows is either yes or no. You either fight or run. This obviously doesn't apply to every steroid character, but if they are visual enough, it tends to create that thinking.
Yea those are great especially when they have a passive part like Jax/Olaf so it feels rewarding to get lvl6 even when you don't use R.
Honestly I love pressing my ult and just going super Saiyan, big numbers, unguh bunguh on the enemy team. It’s menacing as hell but like many big bad bosses, they can be taken down with a team. There’s always those champs who you should never try to 1v1 and one of them is Nasus. Max hp% burn, huge stat boosts, and fast bonks. I think these ultimates really define a champ and are relatively well balanced and designed.
hmmm i wouldnt call swain ult a steroid. feels more like a fiddle W and R mashed into one ability
It's still a "super saiyan"/raid boss mode sort of state that aligns with the rest of the examples, because they are an ongoing effect while the form lasts that make him significantly harder to deal with
yet it heals nothing and does no damage , after the ton of nerfs , id rather they never reworked him , he went from burst and drain tank and sustained dps , to high regen drain tank moderate burst , low dps , to nothing at all
Are there enough champions with “fourth ability” ults that have normal cool downs to warrant making a video? Zoe and Anivia are the main ones that come to mind
Tearing through heaven, interesting but appreciated music choice
Rivens is the best. You start and end a Kill with it. Its like Zed where you have a "commit" Button that everyone can see and react to
I play both League and Wild Rift and in the latter Nasus with ult is basically a guaranteed kill in most scenarios, and can make a 2v3 turn in your favour because of how good it is
8:20 This is why I like watching your videos, I'm a veteran, but I took a 3-4 year long break until very recently, and every single champion thats come out since then has multiple paragraphs of text per ability, and I wasn't going to read a whole books worth of broken ability descriptions to catch up on what 10-15 champions do. Not to mention that riots tool tips in the client have become absolute useless garbage in the last couple years, when some moronic riot employee decided that players would much rather have a vague description of what an ability does, rather than actual details about it, so you're forced to read the description in game, once you've bought the champion, or you have to go research the champion on the internet. I was playing one of the new champions, and I only realized halfway through the game, that one of their abilities had a full sub ability that wasn't mentioned anywhere within the client, you have to read it in game to have any idea that it worked that way. Or perhaps the worst offender, gwen, whose tooltip for her ultimate must be outdated at this point, because it literally just lies to you. "Gwen must hit an enemy between each cast to unlock the next one." This is literally just not a mechanic within her ultimate. You can cast each of them after a 1-2 second delay, regardless of hitting an enemy or not. I read the description in the client, and then again, for half a game I was playing like I needed to hit my opponents between casts, and it wasn't until I accidentally recast it without hitting anyone that I realized that no where in the spells actual description does that clause appear. This whole game design method from riot of releasing the most overloaded champions ever, and then completely... not even failing to describe them to us, they don't even try. failure implies there was an attempt. So if you want to play them, you play them wrong for a while, and if you don't want to play them, it takes literally months to learn them in game, or quite a while of just sitting researching a champion that you have no interest in playing. I still have no idea what viego does. He just shows up, nukes me, and turns into me, and the only things I took away from that interaction are that he's overtuned as fuck.
next video idea:
"transformation abilities"
i.e
-jayce
-nidalee
-rek'sai
I like Twitch's Spray and Pray. It can quickly execute a team in seconds.
Yeah, Twitch ult is quite an interesting steroid, as not only gives hin lots of range and damage, but also transforms his attacks in a "straight line" that can be dodged, something I think is pretty unique of him
Swain is rly fun in low elo, sometimes no one buy anti heal in game's. If u are feed swain u are Event Raid Boss.
I really enjoy these types of ultimates and the raid boss thingy about them
Active: Udyr slaps.
I think one of the major design choices, especially for Marksmen is that the vast majority of them work off of steroid type abilities. Dota2s carries function off of passives mainly.
Vars: "Zeri is the most overtune champ in the history of league".
Zoe: Hold my beer
Meanwhile swain: I have ult, let's goooo
I wish twitch ult was better because it’s so fun, but the fact that people can dodge your autos not just by dashing, but just by being really fast, just kinda ruins it. Instead of having it penetrate people, the ult should make his bolts explode. That way they deal AOE damage like it’s intended but can’t be countered by Lillia existing.
We love tearing through heaven in this house
I love “install” ultimates. But it has to change the effectiveness of the character’s moves as a whole beyond just stats.
Olaf, Aatrox, Nasus, Mundo, Jax, Riven, Singed, Allistar, Lulu, Master Yi, whack. Just stats, maybe does a thing as well.
Renekton, Belveth, Zeri, Vayne Twitch, Illaoi, Swain, Shyvana, cracked, changes the effects and potency of one or more of their moves while also potentially giving stats.
Aatrox's gameplan is not like most stat checkers in the game though.
A mid range spell caster who works around skillshots which work only at an optimal distance and spacing gains an ulimate that increases healing and damage dealt, while also having increased movement speed and size.
Now it is no longer the time to play cautiously, and zone your enemies out; it is to go all in, and kill the entire enemy team while tanking all the damage the other team throws at you with increased "omnivamp." Even with the exact same basic abilities, but with boosted stats, it makes all the difference in the world in regards to how you approach things.
I argue this changes up gameplay much more than Renekton, Vayne, and Twitch, who simply allow them to do what they've always done but better.
