A good thing that bot games do for this unironically is that the karthus bot will cast his ultimate the second anybody is low enough to be killed by it, it sort of teaches newer players to watch out for that ability, and gives them a little bit of understanding on the power of global ults as karthus bot could be anywhere on the map and kill you anyways.
Karthus' ult ALWAYS gives me anxiety when I'm low health as I'm not sure if I'll be killed by it or not, it isn't helping when my allies stays close to me during that time
It also teaches them counterplay to it. Karthus bots never save the ult to the point where it will maximize the kill chance, so sometimes just drinking a potion as he starts his ult is enough to save yourself.

I force the jungler to walk around my silence because he is too slow to walk our the other side before getting rooted, but the enemy Ashe landed a W and my adc is in danger and nearly dead. Do I use my Q to get the buffed W and get slowed down that much to give my adc a better fighting chance, just use my W for the weaker heal in case my adc gets smacked around a little and have a better chance getting out myself, or just leave my adc to die for their mistakes pushing up too far when we knew the enemy jungler was bot side? That's just a series of decisions in a mere 5 seconds of game time. Soraka may be the easiest enchanter but she's still a squishy weak little enchanter that has to look around like a rabbit looking for a fox on every decision she makes. Karthus ult might benefit from some built in benefits for teamwork. Like say, reducing it's current value but giving it a damage amp on targets hit by hard cc during the cast, with an additional amp in relation to champion damage the enemy took in the same time frame. aphelios's calibrum marks could be activated from global range after being applied by his turret(sentry) but that was removed after his release few patches
something that might be worth noting about kled and sion, they can be HEARD globally. so everyone hears kled and sion ult but its not always known who its intended for. i do this with sion all the time. i'll save my first ult for one of my first backs. and head straight bot. its so often successful in getting two kills. in fact the only time it really fails is when my bot lane telegraphs it instead of baiting. i imagine same thing can be done with kled but i hate that champ so i don't do it. its cheesey and effective. and theres a good chance enemy top is gonna get flamed for not warning them lol when its both lanes' fault. that being said when its later on in the game, towers are downed and both teams somewhat scattered, hearing that sound can cause everyone to back off. also kindred can scare off someone with a mark bluff, or trick someone into thinking they're safe assuming a teammate tells them they've been marked.
Fun fact, a fully maxed asol q can stun for up to 3 seconds based on distance traveled, so he has a ash arrow on 10 cd, but it's its only possible to get it while using the e+q combo because you won't get enough distance by just walking, but it's worth because it's a aoe ash arrow
The arrow has .5 seconds more of cc, and if you think about it its crazy that its that small of a difference when morgana's q has a much lower cooldown and doesnt need the same setup
A video about QSS taxe could be interesting I think. Some champs are litteraly forcing you to buy this item to be able to fight them. Mordekaiser, Malzahar and Skarner are the most obvious, but also Morgana, Zoe, ...

Genuine Question: why do you go to such huge lengths to distinguish "true" execute abilities from finishers, but then lump every semi-ultimate ability into the category of ultimate? The way I see it, finishers & executes are functionally identical, while globals and semi-globals are completely different categories. On the other hand, semi global ultimates play veeeeeery differently than truly global abilities. How many times has someone played Tahlia, Galio, Nocturne, et al. and been unhelpful in a fight because it's out of range. Not an concern with Soraka, senna, Karthus, et al. Sure, true executes are more certain in their outcome than finishers, but that difference doesn't really impact gameplay at all. Whereas, gameplay with a semiglobal is totally different than true globals. As soraka, a player can chill bot lane with the adc and press R to impact a top fight, but that same player as galio must roam first, spending valuable time and leaving adc exposed to dives.

Nocturne's Ultimate USED to be Global. He could give the entire enemy team near sight and jump to any of them back in the day. So fighting a nocturne and getting low after a fight and having things go dark just as you escaped, fittingly gave you paranoia. That was the nerf in 2013/14 that made me less interested in league, was nerfing the range of Paranoia's teleport strike
@@nathanpeck2817 My guess is it was still hindered by lack of vision. + Is not a normal tp, its a tp to an enemy which specially when the mofo gets under tower can go really wrong.

And then there is those times you use Ashe ult from base and 7 seconds later when it hits it isn't a good idea to go in anymore but your team does so anyway
Noc's ult at rank 1 IS global. Vision denial is gigantic, not being able to see makes it feel like noc is right behind you, meanwhile hes on the other side of the map.
For me as a support main, soraka's ult is actually a great ability especially in teamfights wherein you can easily heal all of your allies and change the flow of battle, it happened to me so many times when we had a teamfight and almost lost, luckily my ult was ready and I was able to save my allies. JANNA'S ultimate is bad, because not only is she squishy, her ult is also terrible, you cant use it in a middle of a fight since you would be vulnerable and just a single stun can stop it all. I wish they can either make her ult unstoppable or make her less squishy
Janna’s ult’s purpose is not only healing, but also peeling. The initial cast will push enemy champions away, which, depending on the situation, might be much more useful than the healing itself. Her ult also heals more than Soraka’s, so it wouldn’t make sense to make her untouchable while she restores full HP to her allies. Soraka’s ult is just bad design. There’s no point in having Karthus cast his ult for a couple of seconds (and still be a bad design despite having a cast time) while Soraka just insta heals her whole team with no repercusions, while also cleansing the only thing that could counter that ult: grievous wounds.
i hope lol players are grateful because in wild rift lux's ult has INFINITE range with zero drawbacks on damage and ashe's ult can be manually steered again with zero drawbacks in terms of damage or stun duration
One thing I really hate that I don’t think you’ve ever looked at before, is that a lot of unbalanced or unfair champions or just champions that generally aggravate people to play against, tend to have their only real weakness as ”they’re hard” and or “they need a lead” a good example is irelia, a champion who has excellent team fight, dueling, early and late game, waveclear isn’t an issue, can split push effectively, amazing lane phase and is a lane bully herself making it hard to bully her, All that combined and her weaknesses are basically just she has no direct disengage as in a dash out GOOJF card, which she doesn’t need since she just kills everyone else like Darius not to mention she does have escape tools in her stun and Q just not very consistent ones, is decently hard to play, and needs to be ahead, but most of that means nothing when they fit the first two requirements. Same goes for yasuo, another popular champion for his 1v5 anti everything abilities. Another example is yi, who, if not shut down early which a lot of champions at least in jungle can’t do, he becomes an almost unstoppable monster especially if your team lacks hard peel. Nocturne is an amazing duelist early and then a champion with a free kill button on a 50 second cooldown once he gains a small lead, or just scales without running it down. A champion being hard to pilot shouldn’t be used to justify being overtuned, and needing a lead shouldn’t either since those champs typically are given PLENTY of tools to do so. It’s not like renekton who needs a lead not because his champ isn’t as good if he isn’t slightly ahead to prevent enemy outplays from affecting his usefulness, but because he drops off so hard he needs to have an item and a half on the enemy team, to be even with the enemy team, meaning if you wanted to you can just wait him out and outscale. Qiyana is a good example at least in my opinion of a champion who’s high skill ceiling isn’t used as an excuse to make the champ overtuned, she’s still really strong when fed and does a lot but she isn’t going to drain tank your entire team and pick you off one by one with 90 dash resets and 200 armor/defense, her ult is manageable in the same sense that malphites is and a lot of her power budget is in that ability.Fioras biggest weakness is lack of waveclear early and needing a lead, all of this not factoring In counterpicks, though if I’m not mistaken you main fiora so you tell me. It feels like riot intentionally makes champs who are supposed/going to be hard to learn overpowered so that players are encouraged to learn them and the champ will be popular and successful. Rather than making a champions design or fun play style attractive so players will put that effort in, not that these champs aren’t. They’re given an answer to every situation so that people can be on the giving end of the frustration rather then receiving. they’re scared of repeating champs like kindred who have really high skill floors but don’t seem to be worth playing because you have to learn the role and how to play this champ in that role, but the reward is still a huge feast or famine champ that still can’t deal with everything being an adc/assassin, this being mentioned in kindreds Why No one Plays. So they make the champs good at everything and thus overtuned so people will put in the effort so they can always be op. Idk just something to think about. Did NOT mean to make this so long LMAO.
@Guilherme Garcia Fairly certain he was implying Irelia in the mid lane is a lane bully. A lot of mages can't really deal with her and her ability to dive them level 2.
@Guilherme Garcia I don't know why you specified just Panth when I've seen literally every one of the toplaners you mentioned used in the midlane as a counter during season 11. Usually to assassins, or to the other toplaners looking to cheese the match-up. So theoretically any of them could flex into the midlane to screw her over, it's just people are too fickle with what they're willing to play and where.
I’m surprised you didn’t include Quinn since you choose to semi include Kled and Sion, heck for that reason why not include Nunu, Rammus and even Hecarim
If you think about it.. There have been only 2 junglers with a global teleport, Rek'sai and Taliyah Rek'sai was changed, they removed it from her And Taliyah actually came out as a midlaner, they didn't mean her to be a jungler with a global teleport.. something that might be worth noting about kled and sion, they can be HEARD globally. so everyone hears kled and sion ult but its not always known who its intended for. i do this with sion all the time. i'll save my first ult for one of my first backs. and head straight bot. its so often successful in getting two kills. in fact the only time it really fails is when my bot lane telegraphs it instead of baiting. i imagine same thing can be done with kled but i hate that champ so i don't do it. its cheesey and effective. and theres a good chance enemy top is gonna get flamed for not warning them lol when its both lanes' fault. that being said when its later on in the game, towers are downed and both teams somewhat scattered, hearing that sound can cause everyone to back off.
also kindred can scare off someone with a mark bluff, or trick someone into thinking they're safe assuming a teammate tells them they've been marked.
Fun fact, a fully maxed asol q can stun for up to 3 seconds based on distance traveled, so he has a ash arrow on 10 cd, but it's its only possible to get it while using the e+q combo because you won't get enough distance by just walking, but it's worth because it's a aoe ash arrow
forgot Ryze for the global teleports. nice video, keep it up :D
3:16 "The longest duration of how crowd control possible from a single ability"
Morgana Q: Am I a joke to you?
The arrow has .5 seconds more of cc, and if you think about it its crazy that its that small of a difference when morgana's q has a much lower cooldown and doesnt need the same setup
A video about QSS taxe could be interesting I think. Some champs are litteraly forcing you to buy this item to be able to fight them. Mordekaiser, Malzahar and Skarner are the most obvious, but also Morgana, Zoe, ...
I like the idea I hate building that
The item really cuts down your dmg.
9:08 I'm sorry I got a bit distracted from the ultimate effectiveness part right here because that twisted fate chased kassadin back to base with the most illegal looking auto attack I've ever seen
I once played against a Shen who complained when I ganked saying that our top lane couldn't win a 1v1 we then directed him towards his ultimate and he promptly shut up
Fiddlestick ult might as well be global based on how much pressure it give everywhere.
I once played with diamond friends. It was thrilling, it felt like they were the map
gotta love aph getting his shit rocked in all these clips
Movement speed warwick:
There is another
intro reminded that my Favorite Champ 1M+ points Trynda is one of the only champs in the game that level up ult second and third point only at levels 17 and 18.
GLOBAL TELEPORT: you forgot pre-June 2021 Tahm Kench
5:10 WHERE IS ASOL
would you be interested in making a video on camille? id like to see your analysis on why she’s so good and is so safe for how much she can do and how she became so strong. sincerely camille hater
So safe? Her e is her engage or disengage. Cant do both. And she has the worst all in of all duelists.
Good intro Vars!
fun bit of trivia jinx ult is Super Mega Death Rocket which as an acronym is SMDR, which if you're toxic enough... well you can imagine what it might stand for lol. hint: add a comma [SMD,R]
The Junglers are autofilled" comment hurt man, it really did xD
Nocturne's Ultimate USED to be Global. He could give the entire enemy team near sight and jump to any of them back in the day. So fighting a nocturne and getting low after a fight and having things go dark just as you escaped, fittingly gave you paranoia. That was the nerf in 2013/14 that made me less interested in league, was nerfing the range of Paranoia's teleport strike
Yeah I can see why they nerfed it considering TP is a must in pro play. Giving a champion a TP on an ultimate cooldown would be game breaking.
Pantheons and TFs used to be global range too
@@nathanpeck2817 My guess is it was still hindered by lack of vision. + Is not a normal tp, its a tp to an enemy which specially when the mofo gets under tower can go really wrong.
that transition to the title card was so smooth omg
Thumbnail is awesome
3:45 xD that flash. the stress of an adc
just wanted to mention that at lvl 6 pantheon gets 10% armor pen so he does get a bit.
This makes me wonder if we would ever get global support champion, similar to Abathur from HoTS
I feel like Yummi is just a badly designed Abathur
@@Theoriginalmistwalker Facts
Rakan, Morgana, Irelia, Viego, kled, Lilia, Urgot, Gnar, Graves, Karthus, Thresh, Vladimir, Ivern, and Fiddlesticks all have attack ranges greater than 175 but less than 500
my boy ziggs got shafted. absolutely shafted.
As a jungle main "lets face it, all junglers are autofilled" hurts.
Asol wasn’t mentioned as a champ using global abilities (not ultimates), although that’s the reason he got the famous nerf
Waiting to see if Nocturne is going to come at you after activating his ult is as terrifying as it was waiting to be called on to present something in school. *no thanks* 😂
Btw in dota theres a champ that has a 0 second cooldown infinite range teleport that has 1.5 sec channel time. It blew my mind as a league player.
His Ultimate is also global.
You forgot to mention Asol with his comet of legend
And then there is those times you use Ashe ult from base and 7 seconds later when it hits it isn't a good idea to go in anymore but your team does so anyway
Noc's ult at rank 1 IS global. Vision denial is gigantic, not being able to see makes it feel like noc is right behind you, meanwhile hes on the other side of the map.
Full ms Warwick : my ult is global now
For me as a support main, soraka's ult is actually a great ability especially in teamfights wherein you can easily heal all of your allies and change the flow of battle, it happened to me so many times when we had a teamfight and almost lost, luckily my ult was ready and I was able to save my allies.
Have you ever seen a Predator Warwick running towards you ? Thats a global leap
i hope lol players are grateful because in wild rift lux's ult has INFINITE range with zero drawbacks on damage and ashe's ult can be manually steered again with zero drawbacks in terms of damage or stun duration
I used Pantheon's ult to execute a Sett who tried to dive me and use W to finish me. Shit was hilarious.
yea, cannon barrage is great, but lets be honest, gps real ult is the barrel that just hit all of your frontliners for half their health bars.
And then theres swain w
lol
As a Soraka main, I had several mid/top laners raging bc of my ult turning their fights lol
What, No Realm Warp? shenanigans.
Tdle?
@Guilherme Garcia Fairly certain he was implying Irelia in the mid lane is a lane bully. A lot of mages can't really deal with her and her ability to dive them level 2.
@Guilherme Garcia I don't know why you specified just Panth when I've seen literally every one of the toplaners you mentioned used in the midlane as a counter during season 11. Usually to assassins, or to the other toplaners looking to cheese the match-up. So theoretically any of them could flex into the midlane to screw her over, it's just people are too fickle with what they're willing to play and where.
You forgot that draven's ult is now execute too :p and also 6:14 akshan's ult should be mentioned there
Yay! Your s noises dont pierce my eardrums now. Epic mic
9:39
No, that was good actually.
Would it talk about defensive ability? It would be a huge topic
I absolutely love smashing enemy junglers by diving in with my Galio to save bot lane. The satisfaction of turning fights around is immense
attack range 125-175, Irelia be like: I pretend i didnt see this
They should make their next champ have a global ult… just cause you made a great vid about it 💙
Me: plays karthus jg
Me: presses r here is your gank
More about macro ults please!
I’m surprised you didn’t include Quinn since you choose to semi include Kled and Sion, heck for that reason why not include Nunu, Rammus and even Hecarim
@Guilherme Garcia Quinn does tho, and one big strategy of her game play is to dominate lane because range vs Meele push top and roam
@@AngFX yeah but quinn's ult is just a ms buff, Kled and Sion are forced to run a certain distance when ulting quinn is not
With enough movement speed, Rammus and WW fit here too
Doesn't dravens ult execute now based on if his stacks are higher then the enemies hp?
If you think about it.. There have been only 2 junglers with a global teleport, Rek'sai and Taliyah
Rek'sai was changed, they removed it from her
And Taliyah actually came out as a midlaner, they didn't mean her to be a jungler with a global teleport..
But if they would really not like the idea of jungler's with global tp why would have they shifted Taliyah's lane hmm
Shen used to be a jungler
@@mal9369 Oh actually, I myself used to play him a bit in the jungle haha... But to be fair that was kinda cheesy, I wouldn't really put him on this list, but fair point though
5:10 technically Akali can go with them soo Akali e?
Mr. Vars Verum, would you consider the new Aurelion Sol's W a (non-ultimate) global teleport?
Taliyah ult is just Asol E but with a wall
I feel like ashe r is only global in theory. Yes, you can snipe someone across the map. But its basically impossible to hit from more than two screens away and ashe loses most of her pressure when she doesnt have r up
Three houses music les go!
I'm surprised that Lux (I'm a wild ritf player) wasn't mentioned.
Lux's ult isn't global in league
Oh. Ok.
Xerath's R being 5000 unit radius/diameter (I forgot which it is) isn't global enough 🧐?
What about Lillia? Her ultimate doesn’t have a range, just everyone that’s marked with bloom i think
