The body oil on damp skin is supposed to trap the water on your skin to keep your skin both moisturized and hydrated. If you apply it when your skin is dry then it's not going to penetrate as well and you'll get greasy skin. I hope that makes sense 😊
For armpits I suggest you use the Veet in shower cream. You just apply it and wait for like 5 minutes while brushing your teeth or so and wash it off in the shower 😊
Try the Bramley cocoa heaven tissue oil (PEP store) and add it to your Nivea lotion bottle. It's convenient, They compliment each other so well in scent and moisture and bramley tissue oils work so well for a fraction of the price ❤

I use both the palmers cocoa and coconut body oils but it dries out quick, for my bum and pum pum I use the Johnson’s baby oil especially after shaving I find that it reduces itching, then the rich nourishing Nivea lotion cos it’s good for my dry skin, deodorants I use Nivea and the matching anti perspirant spray( dry confidence) Body wash I use oh so heavenly products cause they small so heavenly 🙈( any that I find cute and smells nice) And I sometimes exfoliate with my sorbet scrub just once in a year cos that thing is harsh on my skin 🥴

with body oils, if you're not using a normal moisturizer then it is advised to apply it on the skin while damp to lock in moisture and help it penetrate the skin better but if you are applying moisturizer then it should come after the moisturizer as body oils are occlusives so they seal in moisture, so if you apply an oil first then your moisturizer it defeats the purpose of the moisturizer as it won't absorb since the oil has already created a barrier on your skin
I use Palmer’s body oil as well 😂 so right after showering/bathing (while in the bathroom) I pat dry but I do leave some parts wet as I don’t want my body to be completely dry I want it to be damp then go in with the oil 👌🏼💫

With the palmers cocoa butter body oil you apply it while your skin is wet then you pat your skin dry, for me that works better.
Or you can lightly pat dry your skin (not totally dry) then apply oil right away.
