Anyone else love showers and smelling good but ends up skipping showers and other hygienic things due to depression? Its embarrassing af for me 😥 I'm trying to get better tho
I know exactly what you are talking about because I’ve been going through the exact same thing for years. The best thing that helps me get over those episodes for a while is prayer. I’m not trying to shove religion down your throat anything, but if it wasn’t for prayer, my depression would have gotten worse. Stay strong and stay safe. Sending prayers from New Jersey😊💕
When you feel like that, you have to really force yourself to get in the shower. Feel the water over you. Force yourself to do it, and maybe it will get easier. It could really change how you feel. It can lift depression sooner. Sometimes when you force yourself to get started, you will be grateful you did.
I love to shower so I went the different route - I showered for too long cause I felt like the shower was the warmest and most welcoming thing in my life.
Gotta find a balance, but maybe shower for two mental health reasons: You'll feel better after AND during. ❤️

I've been slowly trying to be more hygienic. I battled depression since I was 14 and there were times I'd go over a week without a shower. I know it's disgusting. Lately I've been finding joy in self care and that has been amazing for my bad days. I shower once a day now and am trying to shower twice a day. I've never felt better.

Another trick for having your scent last longer is focus perfumes more on ur clothes and lotions for ur skin. Ive noticed that this way the scent lingers on ur clothes and your skin allllllll day!!

For the Body Oil aspect, I would recommend not applying it before body lotion (unless it works for you). I say this because the lotion will not be able to penetrate the skin as oil is a barrier and seals in moisture. We should be applying products in order from least to most viscosity. So if you do plan on using an oil and a body lotion, I have heard it is better to apply to oil after the lotion or mix the oil into the lotion simultaneously ^^

Something I do is, after my clothes are cleaned (washed) and smell nice. I spray my fave perfume/scent into my drawers and bins. I use a cheap vanilla perfume.. and I spray it on my clothes and then quickly close the drawer or put the lid on the bin and LEMME TELL YALL- it smells so good it keeps the scent good.

Me too!! In fact it happened to me with my favorite laundry scent booster!! They were first made my Bounce- Outdoor Fresh Scent, then Downy bought them out or something..they were hard to find during the transition. I was SOOO happy to find them back on the shelves. Now- they are nowhere to be found. I’ve emailed Downy, only to find out the scent is discontinued. I seriously have anxiety about it. I’m soooo upset about it.

Tip: if you’re using body oil put on in shower. After exfoliating with a nice scrub, rinse then a body oil and rinse. Only cus using lotion in the summer makes me sweat

I like sweet scents but have been trying to also use some subtle scents as well, so you have helped me. I use dove soap, treehouse body scrub, bath & body works, & Cetaphil lotion. I have a loofa & exfoliating brush that I use in the shower. I also use bath & body works, forever 21, & Victoria Secret perfume. I don't play about how I smell💅🏿.

The other oil that is good for ezcema is Neutrogena fragrance-free body oil! Try it! I been using it for half a year and it is great.

Girl when I saw the Dove body wash I was shook cuz that's the exact one I use and my mom bought it for herself too bc it's so good
This video was so refreshing, no pun intended 🤭 A product I really recommend you to try would be the Crest gum detoxify toothpaste because it's so gentle, it isn't as strong as the other toothpastes to the point where it hurts to brush (unless you use way too much) but it still makes your breath smell fresh, and it's easier to just brush your teeth and tongue in one round and it really whitens your teeth and gets them clean. 💕
