Hi everybody! Linda Chase and Dave Currier of 3 Speed, here. Want to wish you all a great New Year and thank you so much for your support - anyone wanting mp3s or lyrics, please send a personal message!!
Just watched Once Bitten made me think of Harry and Irene your parents and my god parents and visiting your family in Wilmington when I was a kid. Love your music you have a fantastic voice.
I would love mp3 of your song . Movie awesome , song fantastic so compassion in your voice . I'm huge Jim carry fan . Thanks for playing the theme song .
@@benwojak9784 Thank you Ben! I love that you're a fellow lover of Once Bitten and this song is fire! I tried to find it on Spotify, but it's not on there. 😔 Thanks again for your comment! Take care my friend! All my best 🙏♥️
I say the same thing since I heard it in '85, that voice that is so penetrating and harmonious at the same time always sounds in my head and does me very good.
@@reydebruno8145 Hello Reydebruno! This song is truly amazing and if they put it out today, I really think it would be a hit. Thank you so much for the comment, it was greatly appreciated. Take care my friend! All my best 🙏♥️
I still watch this movie EVERY Halloween! "I'm a mature guy, and you're a mature girl so why don't we just skip all the bullshit and DO what we really wanna DO."
@@hickman7909 I always loved that part. I really can't tell if the woman was saying that just make him run off and leave her alone, or if she really was some kind of sexually repressed middle aged woman that was suddenly into all kinds of wild and kinky stuff and didn't care who she could do it with. What a great movie!
This song as well as "Hands off". Two amazing songs in an awesome movie. I was just a kid when I watched the movie Once Bitten. I remember rewinding this song as well as the other one I mentioned on my VCR over and over again so I could dance my ass off. Damn...I loved the 80's. Although I didn't see this movie until I was around 7-8 years old. So it would have been the early 90's. This soundtrack and the Dirty Dancing soundtrack. I would constantly listen to and dance. WoW...those were the good old days.
Lol the natural voice is always the best. I've found that a person's voice can do things that auto tune doesn't even know what to do with. Example singers being Freddy Mercury, Elton John, Pat Benatar and Joe Elliot. Something tells me Linda's voice would destroy auto tune.
Linda - this was a huge favorite of mine. I had it taped, on a VHS with Secret Admirer - literally wore out the tape. I remember this song so well. Thanks for posting this - there's a whole generation out there that appreciates your work.
Still have the hots for Lauren Hutton. Though I like this song, my favorite is Hands Off. I love the dance scene. Thanks for posting this video though, takes me back to the days when I was a young man.
Such a kick @$$ song from my absolute Favorite Jim Carrey movie Ever. I can't even count how many times I've seen this movie. I'm gonna say over 500+. I remember watching the tape so many times as a young-un I wore it out. Lol OB will always be one of my favorite 80's movies of all time
Honestly when I found out they were doing the title track for the movie I thought it would be their big break out. Regardless they are still a great band.
thee music was indeed great from the 80s,so dam good... i so love this movie N the song is one in a million...one of the best movie of jim carrey,he was so handsome ...! I will always love the 80s music ...now and forever....💞
The intro and piano break send shivers down my spine. I was in love with this movie as a little boy and I have always cherished this song. The vocal performance in particular. Such an empowering track, brings the tears out at the right time. Thank you so much for your art!
I taped the movie this was from on VHS from the nightly channel 11 movie in NYC. It was right after Jim Carrey had broke out huge and they must have figured "Hey, we have this movie he did back in '85". Anyway, this song has been in my head intermittently since the early '90s because of that. Great tune and I'm glad you put it up on here. You say you were this singer? Well, you've been in my head for a long time. Awesome.
I like this riff! From a time long gone... Strangely I had never heard of Linda Chase before yesterday when I watched the movie and immediately liked the title-song. Super well composed, arranged and performed. And a good, calm vocal performance - not ending up in the uneccessarily red area after three nano-seconds which was slowly becoming a not so tasteful vocal norm in the mid eighties when a new paradigm of popular and overly commercialized R&B and PompRock seemed to lead the way musically... well done, Linda and 3 Speed!
Totally not ashamed to admit that I loved this song when it came out. I was 17 years old when the movie came out. I thought the movie was stupid (still do, sorry) but loved the song. I actually stayed up late one night when it came on "ON" TV a year or so after it hit theaters and recorded the song, as it played during end credits, on my tape recorder. Lol! I still may have it somewhere in my "memories of youth" box in the garage. Lol. No, I'm not kidding. I think I still have that cassette somewhere.
Linda, you are fabulous!! I thought Tina Turner did this.I was't even born when this song was released but listening to this makes my bones melt.AAAWWWWW!!!!.You definitely rock!
Great song from an hilarious movie. Thanks for posting it. I so do miss the 80's Back when Jim Carrey was funny and before he went nuts and totally vegged out.
I'm 45 and just found this song! People are right about the 80s the songs created just have a way of making you feel alive. Listening to these types of song whilst riding a motorbike on a sunny day....
Tomorrow it will 25 years since this song came out and I was 10 when it came out in 1985 and I still love the 80s. Great song! Linda. This song should have been on #1 in 1985. You have a great vocie and I'm sure you still quite the looker as you are in this video!
A movie at a music soundtrack from a simpler time I wish I could travel back but I know that's impossible but this movie and soundtrack makes me think of better times I thank everybody for that
Back in the good ole days when it didn't matter how old the singer and the band members were. As long as the song was great - that's all people cared about. Anyways, i'm a huge fan of the film Once Bitten i'd always catch the film on cable in the late 80s and 90s. At the time, Carrey was barely a Star and he seemed normal until "In Living Color" XD !!!!!! I miss those days. Thanks for sharing the video - first time EVER seeing it ^_^
A Great Track to a Great Film, that deserved so much more credit than it received, it made my decade in the 80's I remember it well..... Once Bitten and Iron Eagle the true great films of the decade... Best Wishes

Were you able to see the movie while composing the song, assuming it was for the movie?
This song rocks. It really fits the vibe of movie. 3 Speed should have been bigger.
Now who has watched this Jim Carrey film? Funny film and memorable song!
+John Tasoulas, it was a classic-80s Halloween-weekend treat for me this year! Jim was in top comedic form.

I remember that movie I born in 83
I have and it’s still stuck in my head
Still his best film to date
I will always be OBSESSED with this song! I love Linda's voice, it's intoxicating. One of the most underrated movies and soundtracks.

+Matt Cordell damn right
Matt Cordell the whole movie screams 1980s
Dragonetta's MUSIC real good
The 2:39 moment with the guitarist looking directly into the camera then turning away revealing his mullet is the most 80s thing you'll ever see!!
Best movie of the 80's.
This song totally transports me back in time. I watch this movie probably twice a year and this song always makes me smile.

One of the great songs written for a movie.

Regardless they are still a great band.
If I could go back in a time machine it would be sometime in the 80's. Such a wonderful decade.
Does anyone else get hypnotize by this music video
Great song. The vocals are amazing. Raspy, husky and one of the very few women to actually sing rock and roll.
Watch at least 4 time a week love Jim 💃🏾💃🏾
Hello from Argentina! Love this song.
I wish I was around during the 80's. I still watch movies from that time :'(
Music was music... From Cindi Laurper to Boy George.... People Black/White listened to the music with great enthusiasm.

To everybody here, I was born in 1992. I should’ve been born in 1964! LONG LIVE THE 1980s!!!!!!!
This had to be one of Jim Carrey's first movies
80s and 90s were awesome.

The concept of tying in music videos with movies became popular a year earlier with Ghostbusters. I looked it up after watching this.
Just finished watching this like 5 mins ago. Love this movie as a kid.
her voice really stands out. great classic movie
Once bitten and My Best friend is a Vampire, such classics
This song literally just popped in my head and that's what led me here. 80's forever

I’m glad to be part of the small community that knows about this movie
Increible Voice...Wonderfull Laidy..👍👍👍👍👍👍
I love her voice :-) So sultry and husky. And NO AUTOTUNE.
Linda comes from a time where singers were singers not robots.
I taped the movie this was from on VHS from the nightly channel 11 movie in NYC.
