I followed every single step on my gaming pc, but didn't work. Doesn't matter which usb port i tried. I couldnt hear that typical sound when you plug something in your usb ports. So i tried it on my wife's laptop and voila, updated my Legend in 2 minutes. One interesting hint on the laptop as well. It didn't work on usb 3.0 port, just on the good old ones.
Hello, thanks for the video. Do you think I should update my Legend from 1.09 to 1.11, will this improve my device? Or should I stick to my current version? PS: I don't have the Accupoint pointer.
If your machine is running nicely on 1.09 I wouldn't bother to upgrade to 1.11. Just my opinion! If its not broken don't fix it kind of thing, unless of course you do end up getting the Accupoint at some point1 Thanks for watching 👍🙂
Hi, Nokta advise you to factory reset after upgrading the firmware so you will lose all settings after that. I always right them down before doing it, 👍🙂
run the update 1.13 works well the machine goes deep digging a target at 12 inchs not sure what it is old metal maybe detecting house built in 1890 the house i live in have not run out of targets yet on vdi 43 ran mine lab 600 vdi was at 15 running at 20 khz that 40 khz run m3 settings
com port is not needed on windows 10 or 11 for updating the legend the Legend update with usb is not even using com port protocol to do this it's all USB. com port was for old modems and printers legacy stuff. USB input on any pc or windows lappy is a totally different standard and on WIn 11 com port is turned off by default and I've never had an issue with updating the legend and leave windows security turned on . Does the Legend update it's output using com port serial standard? Noooooo
It's listed under com port when connected to the laptop.. Or rather yes it's connected via USB but uses the VCP driver (Virtual Com Port) to emulate com port communications. So the Legend does use com port protocols to send its firmware. Turning off real-time protection is just avoiding potential issues opening the tool, as stated on the Nokta site. Just trying to leave nothing to chance. All I know is using this method has sorted my machine 👌👍
Nice vid thanks for the info
Sweet 👍 thanks for racking us along with ya have brilliant week 👍 😊
And you buddy, all the best 🙂👌
Nice one Tom I'm still in 1 .09.
Cheers mate, I definitely noticed something wrong when I went up to V1.09 I think it was. Seems to be performing well again now 👍

Good to hear 🙂 I've also been picking up really deep targets, definitely have more faith in the machine now
