The Best Winter Beverage

Ho hoho!
Happy New Year!
Eggnog is a traditional American winter-time beverage. You can have it with alcohol or without; it tastes great both ways!
Ingredients:
a little over 1 cup Milk (you can also use soy or almond milk)
1 egg
1/2 to 1 and 1/2 tablespoons sugar (according to your own tastes)
spiced rum (or a little vanilla extract for a no-alcohol version)
a dash of nutmeg
Directions:
Beat the egg until it is well combined. Really, really well. Seriously, if you don't and wind up chewing on a piece of eggwhite later, it's not a pleasant experience.
Next, just add the rest of the ingredients, mix and you're done!
Eggnog is best served chilled.

Actually my dad came up with a good idea: using egg nog as a substitute batter for french toast. I am tinkering with it by adding a bit of vanilla and extra nutmeg, clove and cinnamon to it.
