    Thanks for this timely information on Shingles. I was 2 weeks away from appointment for Shingrex vaccine. My flare up seems to have occured in T1 area. I have never felt so much continuous stabbing pain in my life. I'm pretty tough having birthed an 8lb 3oz baby non-medicated. Get the Vaccine! You don't want to get Shingles. Thank Gd for antivirals and Neurontin.

    I was in Sweden for Midsommar (summer solstice) ☀️ 2 years ago. The sun would set about 10pm, and rise about 2am. It never got dark. The sunset lasted for hours and transitioned into a sunrise. The sky was beautiful.

    Got 1st small pox vax as a toddler in the late 1950s, was re-vaxed in late 1973 before a college trip to Europe. Still have the yellow paper international health record that went with your passport.

      The yellow book also gets used for yellow fever vaccines... (And would probably have made sense to use for COVID-19 vaccines instead of inventing a different system...)

    I have been diagnosed with reactivated Epstein Barr. I have also been diagnosed with ME/ CFS. It's all just a big guessing game because mono has never really been studied?
    My physician said there is no treatment for reactivated Epstein Barr.

      There are studies showing long term antiviral treatment can reduce the latent viral load for EBV which would be very useful for people who have frequent reactivations and or MS, ME/CFS.

      @tunneling-nanotubes - Anderson Cooper did a fantastic 60 MINUTES on CNN in Nov.24,2020 which focused on Long Covid. Here is an excerpt:
      [ Dr. Mary Fowkes: Because we don't know anything about this disease- an autopsy is the most useful. Because it will help us determine how this virus is actually making people sick.
      As head of autopsy and neuropathology at Mount Sinai, Dr. Mary Fowkes examined more than a hundred people who died from COVID. Early on, she was stunned by how widespread the destruction was.
      Anderson Cooper: So people think of COVID as a respiratory illness. But you're seeing damage all over the body.
      Dr. Mary Fowkes: So there's damage in lung, heart, brain, kidney, liver.
      Dr. Fowkes told us some of the damage could be caused, in part, by the amped up immune response, but she also spotted something else.
      Dr. Mary Fowkes: We saw small and very microscopic blood clots in the lungs, the heart, the liver-- and significant blood clots in the brain.
      Anderson Cooper: Is that something you expected to find?
      Dr. Mary Fowkes: No, not at all. Nobody's seen it like this.
      Blood clots can lead to strokes, which Dr. Fowkes frequently found in the brains of covid victims. ]

      @@tunneling-nanotubes- It is common sense that if the hiding place of herpes virus was found, certainly the search for the sars...cov...2 hiding location was conducted so that the Long Covid problem could be solved. Right?

    A historical use of smallpox was the presentation of blankets by European settlers to Native Americans, blankets that had kept European smallpox patients warm until they recovered or died. This was of course part of the European effort to eradicate Native American peoples so their land could be taken.

    • @frogsong100
      @frogsong100 4 месяца назад

      I doubt this story because those handing the blankets out would get the smallpox. As I recall, the blankets were infected with something like chicken pox, to which the Caucasians were immune from previous personal and ancestral infections. The intention was genocide, so thanks for reminding us.

    • @frogsong100
      @frogsong100 4 месяца назад

      Wrong. .... It was the British military that did the crime.
      "The British give smallpox-contaminated blankets to Shawnee and Lenape (Delaware) communities-an action sanctioned by the British officers Sir Jeffery Amherst and his replacement, General Thomas Gage.
      “Out of our regard to them … we gave them two Blankets and an Handkerchief out of the Small Pox Hospital. I hope it will have the desired effect.” -An eyewitness, quoted in Elizabeth A. Fenn, Pox Americana: The Great Smallpox Epidemic of 1775-81
