Milwaukee Tire Inflator Repair

My used Milwaukee tire inflator gave up the ghost. No more air pressure. It's making some unusual noises, like there's something broken in there. Spoiler: there's something broken in there.

What lubrication did you use in the bore?
Mine works fine but was considering pre-empting this failure I have seen a few have now. If a quick clean and relube every few years wards of the repair.

Honestly can't remember, but my gut tells me I used just a light coating of engine oil .. likely 5/30 full synthetic, because that's what I've always got lying around, lol.
