Those are WWII era tools. Snap-on date codes everything so most of them appear to be 1941. Be careful in the future with tools like those, though. Cadmium was one of the coatings used instead of chrome during the war and has been shown to cause cancer - i.e., don't use a wire wheel as it will make the cadmium turn to dust and become airborne. Love the set!
Thanks for that. I had no idea and will absolutely keep that in mind in the future. I’ve got the tool box all taken apart and still don’t know what to do with it…want to make it mountable on my truck.
I just found your channel it was a really nice job restoring the ratchet. I hope do see you do the box too. I'll watch the other videos you have thanks for sharing your expertise.
Those little belts, get some high quality paking tape, the fiberglass reinforced stuff, put a layer on the inside of the belt before using it, they last about 4 times longer. I have that same ratchet, it works like new (after cleaning 60 years of crud out of it)
I have some really old hand tools passed down through the family. Downsizing and want to sell these. Would you be interested in looking at these? If not, do you know where I could sell them? Thanks.

Thanks so much! I’ve got the box set aside now in some Evaporust. Should start the process soon!
Brass was a nice touch.
Thanks, I noticed the the switch being brass and thought it’d fit well.

That’s some great advice right there. Will do that immediately when I get back to my next project. Thanks very much

Thanks for reaching out…I’ve got more tools than I know what to do with, but I know there are at least a few tool exchange places online.
