Hey buddy! I’m going to try and do like I did on our recent RV trip, post daily “shorts” with updates and anything interesting we come by. Yes, I’ll be super aware, watching for myself and the other guys.
The cargo cover/lock fabrication was a good idea and appears to have turned out like you planned. Good job looking ahead and trying to eliminate as many concerns as possible. Thanx for the heads-up on the daily postings. Looking forward to those!!
Thanks Don. Yes, I’m very happy with cover. I added a thin layer of foam to the inside of the cover, to cut down on the rattling against the Pack Out boxes. Yes, if you haven’t done so, there is a little “bell” by the subscribe button. Hit it so that it turns black and you should get notifications when I post a short or pictures. Thanks!
I’m a fan of it also. With both front and rear with LED’s, I was getting 15.5volts, which was a little high for my liking. I swapped a regular bulb back into the taillight and now I’m spot on…..13.8 to 14.0 volts.
Thanks. I swapped the taillight back to a regular bulb. With LED’s at both ends, the stator was sending 15.5 volts to the battery. A little high for my liking. When I swapped the taillight, it’s now 13.8 to 14.0volts. Much better.
your right.... people will steal anything if they get the chance.... i have Brinks Cable locks on all my bikes and quads in a locked garage....the best defence is good offence
Hey Mike, big fan of your videos, I have a solution for your charging problem, use a 6 Pole Stator rather then the 2 Pole stators, put out much more power had a similar problem on my ST90 with a custom wiring harness for my lights/lifan engine, wouldn't charge my battery but after the stator change it sits at 13.5V at idle with no LEDS and have no problems
i think 15.5 is a bit to much for a 12v batttery i think no more than 14v for a 12v battery and is the meter accurate? try it with a multimeter to be safe
I was a little concerned myself. Yes, gauge seems accurate. I just got back from a 15 mile ride. I left the LED’s in for the first half and it ran 15.3 / 15.5 volts. I stopped halfway and swapped the taillight back to the regular bulb and it was 13.8 to 14.0 the rest of the way back. I think I’m good now.
I thought about it, but anymore depth will have me sitting too straight up. It’s pretty comfortable leaning on the aluminum piece I added. I just got in from a 15 mile ride.
Looking forward to the short clips. Have a safe trip and you can never be too careful.

Hello Mike rain or shine it still will be a fun adventure
Yes, it will. The guys I’m riding with are a hoot. I’m looking forward to riding with an intercom system.
Greetings from the uk. That weather is what passes for a summer day here! 😄😄
🤣 Is humidity a thing there? Now that the rain has passed, it’s like 90° and 90% humidity. I’m sweating, just standing still.
We don't really do humidity, it's pretty pleasant once we get above 70 degrees 😁.
At the risk of going a bit Hollywood "love your work Mike" 😎
@@AdventureDad01 Thanks!
Daily post/shorts are fun!
Safe travels to you guys Mike!
Looking forward to the stories 👍🏾
👍🏻
Looks like fun have a great ride!
Thanks!
I have one of those SAE voltmeter/USB charger on my ruckus. I love it
Oh man, I would have cut you a QR code decal that could point ppl to your channel

@@MiniBikeMike oof yeah, was the 15.5V idling or actually running?
@Smallbore2wheels Idling was high 13v and it jumped to 15.5v, while riding. I’ve got it down to idling at 12.7v and 13.8v while riding.
Beautiful bike! I hope to have my CT90 running and riding with all it's modifications soon, I have loved these bikes since I first gazed apon one.
Great video and awesome job
Thanks Gerard!
Nice video you seem pretty thorough have fun
Thanks. Definitely trying to be prepared for whatever happens on the road.
Such a cool bike I would definitely sneak that into my hotel room at night
👍🏻
I like the LEDs. Good idea.

These seem to be working fine. We’ll go with it and see what happens. As long as the bikes continue to run, lights aren’t that big of a concern.
my birthday eve
Happy early birthday!
What are the shocks you added? I have an 86 that I may want to do this with.
I used these:

@@MiniBikeMike 13.8 to 14 volts is perfect
Those headlight bulbs get hot and burn out. I’ve used them before. Sorry to have to tell you.
I’ve got plenty of spares. The first bulb has lasted the 100+ miles I’ve put on it so far, we’ll see how it goes.
12 volt honda ct110?
@@danthieman7858 If you watch the build videos, on the 4 bikes we rode 700+ miles, each bike was upgraded with a 12v aftermarket 125cc engine.
