I just watched a ton of videos from all these so-called pros on how to remove stubborn label residue from glass bottles. They suggested everything from professional label remover to WD-40 to furniture polish to Nail polish remover to rubbing alcohol. I have some really stubborn adhesive on these bottles and let me tell you your lemon essential oil worked better than any of those! With just a paper towell. Wow, just wow! Thanks so much for this tip. Honestly, you just saved me a boat load of time.

Thanks for this trick!!! After finally getting off the labels using Instant Pot Steamer the glue was still on, worked PERFECT 10-10
One can use Nail Polish Remover as well after removing the sticker from hand as much as possible.
This worked for me. Peel off as much as possible when dry, then when softened with plain water. Next I used a stainless steel scrubber ball, this removed all the paper and glue. Rub one direction first then up and down under running warm water. I didn't need any oils or any other chemicals or soaking. Lastly, feel with your fingers to find any spots you may have missed.
Goo gone. It’s my favorite product to remove labels and wax pencil, stickers and any leftover residues. I cannot live without it

It will work 100 times better than rubbing alcohol, it dissolves sticker residue like nothing else! :)

May be worthwhile to try just a squeezed lemon on it, instead of the lemon oil.

Do you know why lemon essential oil would help removing the glue residue? I ma always curious about how it works.
I don't know the specifics but I know it has something to do with citrus oil in particular. If you don't have lemon oil, orange or lime also works.

You can just run them in dishwasher and let them dry, peels off like a banana peel! Try it!
True, however some of us don't have a dishwasher. This video gave me other options.
