I met Mac...gave him a taxi ride in Aspen Colorado in winter of 2018, just months before he died. It's weird because I didn't even know who he was (I listen to 90s and early 00's rap that I grew up with). Then I discovered his freestyles just a year later, such a shame. He struck me as incredibly quiet and sensitive. He said he was from LA and "worked in entertainment" and I didn't press him with any additional questions. Thanks for the memories

Check the book " how to rap " and you will see VERY CREDIBLE OLD SCHOOL mc's who back up this statement. People who say a freestyle has to be off the top of the head are ignorant and wrong. A written rap isnt given less credit, but an off the top freestyle is given more props if it's good. It's more difficult. don't discredit writtens just because freestyles are more difficult.
