My dude....I'm a 80s baby iraq vet. Airborne all the way... crying in my laundry room and I can't stop playing his music. My life is in shambles and his music, my God in heaven Jesus thank you for his time here. Thanks to everyone who helped make his music possible to KEEP saving me and others. I pursued a music degree to work with people like him. Last year I suffered from over two hundred seizures due to military issues... My doctor consistently gave me the wrong medication and ill information. This year with a different setup I have only had four so far, But over a third of my life floats around and my head as broken glass. Although things are looking better I still don't feel like I should be here anymore. I believe my dude took The big L for all of us. I love you my Mac. Because of you my Wife understands me so much better, I am still here for my kids despite everything that has been done to me and that I had to do for this country that does not love me.... But "it ain't that bad"... "Right"?

One of my friends that loves rap/HipHop music that I knew for a fact didn’t listen to Mac Miller. We were hanging out one day I started talking about how Macs death was fucked up and how disappointed I was that we lost him. He then told me I don’t listen to Mac you probably know this but there is one song by him that I know that I absolutely love. When you dropped Blue Slide Park, Best Day Ever, and On and On Beyond in 2011. I was going into my Junior year of high school. I learned value in friendships but also in being alone. You helped me find something to smile about. I must have listened to Missed Calls 1000 times, reminding myself that it's okay to cry too.
In 2012 you released Macadellic and your song Loud became the number one reason to blow out the speakers in my friends cars. I'll never forget seeing you open with it at The Filmore on your GO:OD AM tour.
2013 was a dark year for both of us. Struggling to find who we were and trying out new identities. I went to college and you created Delusional Thomas, Watching Movies With The Sound Off, and The Space Migration Sessions. WMWTSO gave me my favorite song, Objects In The Mirror. Every time I think about your face, I think about your line, "People love you when they on your mind. A thought is loves currency." This is when I started to see you grow. And I wanted to grow with you.
In 2014 the darkness continued with your mixtape, Faces. For a lot of people, this is where their journey with you began. Your honesty about your struggles with expectations, oblivion, death, and substance abuse resonated with a lot of people, including me. I cried over your suffering and wanted to tell you how many people you were impacting.
GO:OD AM was released in 2015 and from the second I heard the alarm clock go off on track 2, Brand Name, I knew you were the only person on earth who knew exactly what I was feeling when I woke up for work on Monday morning. Mac, this album changed my life. The composition was flawless, your lyrics were poetry, and your execution was masterful. You got me through the hardest year of my life. I wanted to tell you when I met you. I wish I had told you when I met you.
In the nature of being in sync, when you released The Divine Feminine in 2016 I was also falling in love. I was wrapped in my own femininity and your album helped me feel at home in my own skin and proud to be a woman.
Now in 2018, with the heaviest heart, I wanna talk about Swimming. The darker Divine Feminine. An album about falling out of love, growing away from your friends, turning back to substances, and returning to music. I bought front row tickets to your upcoming show in Detroit. I couldn't wait to see you.
Today, I got a phone call that you had died from an overdose. Tears immediately swelled in my eyes as I received countless texts and calls from friends.
