I just watched your performance of this again for the 10th time -and it really is spot on. This is a solo I learned a long time ago, but I must say you play it much better than I learned…. different lessons always have different variations. But yours is the closest I’ve ever heard. Damn, nice job!! What is the chord progression during the solo? Is it just D minor over and over?
Piece of advice for people who find palm muting difficult, which I personally do. I prefer to lay my index finger over the D, G, and B string before that e13b15 note.

David does not let the one step bend tone ring out after that massive 2.5 step bend. He kills it and actually makes it sound like he's hitting the strings muted on purpuse. A lot of people let that note ring out but it's not there on the recording.
It's D Dorian, signaled by both the E and the B played in the double stop. Total blues scale, not natural minor.
Personally, I don't like playing this song exactly how it sounds because I make it sound better. Instead of playing single notes in certain places, I play a chord or a combination of more than one note to make it sound more full in certain places.
Actually that's quite a complement.
