Doctors hardly spend time injecting unless it's anaesthesiologist... it's nurses who are well trained in injecting, as a Podiatrist i hardly use the syringe only for Local anaesthesia
Try making the injection from the bottom part of the balloon where it's the thickest. Or from the very top where you have more thickness near the hole. You do not want to touch a balloon on the sides where that has the most pressure and the thinnest rubber

The trick is to place scotch tape on the balloon and then insert the needle through the tape. Will work every time.
