About to get a balayage for the first time ever. I'm pretty low maintenance so I was worried about having to go into the salon and fork over a ton of money every couple weeks. Glad to see I won't have to do that! This video was super helpful, thanks a million!

thank you for your suggestions. I'd like to know if it's possible to do a balayage that I'm able to continue to touch up my grey roots on dark hair in between salon visits. I can't afford the touchups in salon every few weeks, yet I'd like to have some dimension to my hair.

Yes you can definitely continue to touch up your own roots at home. I have a couple of clients that do that. You’ll just have to be a little more careful when applying to not let the color touch the highlights. Also when rinsing the color off it’ll be best to hold up your mids and ends so the color doesn’t bleed onto the balayage.

Is it damaging for someone with coarse wavy hair on the dry side? I’d like to try, stylist said it could blend few grays a bit in my dark brown hair, but afraid of damaging my hair.

That’s a great question! Typically coarse hair can handle coloring services more than fine hair. But if your hair already feels dry it will only make it more after coloring.
Investing in very good salon quality haircare and doing a deep conditioning treatment at home once a week would be ideal.

Hi, I am young and my hair is black. Is there any chances of getting grey hair after getting my hair coloured or balayage? Please let me know I am a bit worried

Hi! That is a great question! Color and/or balayage will not make your hair turn grey.

Hii girl. NOOO I've been dying my hair for over 3 years now and not a single gray hair. Its a myth that dying your hair makes them grow gray.
