- Hey Everyone! Todays video is for everyone who has a hard time lifting naturally dark , thick hair to a level 9-10 ash blonde. I promise its not as intimidating as it looks! the keys to lifting dark hair are: patience, saturation, fresh product, and thin sections! i hope you enjoy this video and if you have any tips to spill on how you get dark hair to an ash blonde, please share in the comments!
Thank you for being transparent. As a seasoned stylist I still run into problems and am still forever learning. I wish we can have more real talks about when things don't go as planned. It can be traumatic lol but knowing others go through it too and we are human makes it a little easier.
Beautiful result! Really appreciate your transparency. As a hairstylist who struggles with perfectionism your transparency & 2 stars & a wish are super helpful in managing my own inner critic. Thank you for sharing your knowledge, thorough explanations & blunders/wishes.
Thank you!!! I’m glad this is helping!
How long did you let the toners sit?
Sometimes I just watch them and rinse when they look ready, for this one I let it sit for 10-20 though for more power
It looks so beautiful, the blend and the ashtonesare perfect 😍and love two stars and okey wish. I Will start doing this for myself arter every service ♥️🙌🏻
You are so professional. You deserve all the respect even if your fees are high; you deserve it. A lot of hair Designer designers don’t know what to do. They asked us to do all three of them in more than four sessions to do the color while you did it in the first session. You are so professional 🌹💐
Thank you ♥️
I came upon your video after being talked out of doing this by a colorist because my hair is too “dark and course” and that was told I wouldn’t be able to maintain it. Thanks for showing me it is possible for Asian hair.
Find another stylist! I think some don’t want to spend the time or hard work it takes. I hope you find someone to do what you want.
Stylist here, this is also not a traditional "hand painted" balayage. This is a "foilayage". We HAVE to use foils to get this amount of lift. Could be where the confusion is 🤷🏼♀️
Had the exact same experience !!
Sounds like they were just lazy
@@melaniebair8671 as a hair stylist, shouldn't they already know that even though she asked for a balayage, that they actually needed a foiliyage? Sounds like a bad hairstylist to me.
It came out beautiful!! Love love the transparency also. I’m always very critical of my work and it’s nice to see other stylists doing the same.
This video helped me achieve the tone I wanted on my hair!!!! If anyone is looking for milk tea blonde follow the formula!! I tweaked mine a little bc I only lifted to a level 8 so I just took out the 9-1 it’s literally exactly what I wanted as a cosmetologist surrounded by other cosmetologists who were all stumped getting me what I wanted thank you you are insanely talented!❤
So glad it worked out for you! Did you use equal parts of each colour in all three formulas?
Love your two stars and a wish. It’s important to not only praise yourself, but also accept that you are not perfect and understand how to move forward. Well done.
Beautiful!! I love your “2stars and a wish” I need to get better at that !! Been doing hair over 30 yrs and wanna never be complacent , when learning new techniques!! Thank you for sharing your talent!!
L😊
I’m mjkil😊ik
I was turned away from multiple “upscale” salons because they told me that I would never be able to achieve “a blond “ shade due to my dark brown hair. Clearly they were not educated on how to properly do it. Thank you for sharing your videos.
Exactly. If they say its not possible, its because they just can not do it.
Love your professional reflection on your work, so important for growth!
I WANT TO BE A VERY LIGHT BEIGE BLOND. WHT SHOULD I DO? I have natural medium brown hair with some semi permanent colour (medium brown). What do indo? Please help.
Find an excellent colorist who is experienced with color correction in your area and schedule a consultation
Using this pattern today, will be my first client as a licensed cosmetologist! Wish me luck 🥺😆
Good luck!!!
How did it turn out?
Well, thank you so much you did on Asian hair. As an Asian i find it that most of our hair colourist go to extreme gray everytime i ask for natural ash. Also, as our Asian haor is so black and thick when we highlight it it becomes mostly weak and peel off thats the problem. I would really like to visit your salon for gods sake if im there but here Iam in India... Haha, ☺☺Nice work everytime. Love from India.
just an FYI, indian hair texture is completely different from eastern asian hair. i’m eastern asian and my natural hair is more blue black or cool black and smooth straight hair. but many indian women have warm black hair/red and course/wavy. a lot of eastern asian hair is also thin BUT a lot of hair
Love your videos, but would love to see you film in higher quality than 480p ❤️ you do beautiful work btw 🥰
I’ve been uploading my videos in 1080p so I would hope that it’s showing the option for that? I film on my phone because I don’t have the finances to afford a camera right now, but maybe one day I can get one!
I wish it was showing that option as well but unfortunately for me it’s not giving me that option 😩 the highest I’m able to watch is on 480p
@@chrispuente4731 oh shoot I’m so sorry!! I’ll look into it to see if there’s something I can do
@@BobbyHairStudio I can confirm I only see 480 as the highest option too. Love your videos 💕
@@Stellaaa1989 is the image still clear though or is it super pixelated? This is so frustrating I’ve put so much into this
Do you notice or is there any difference when doing us Asian hair because our hairs too thick and black and us Asians most of us are extremely scared to go highlight and most us us regarded highlight as damaging☹️??
Why did you put on two toners? Did it really make a difference? What about using 9,5 21 expert mousse first, and then the second toner? First pretoning, and then toning. But however, I love it😍😍😍😍
Love your honesty and professionalism. Don't change , you're great and everyone can tell !
I love her technique! and her transparent approach is refreshing ♡
Beautiful, what ratios of each colour do you use in each mix please? Are they all equal parts?
You do such a fabulous job. Thank you for putting yourself out there to benefit stylists who are nervous about some procedures.
Thank you for being so honest ❤️ this explains why when I’m getting highlights they’re constantly going back to mix more in the bowl.
Hey i wanna tone my Highlights at home i know my hairstylist used an level 9 on me but i think i only wanna go with one round so should i go with the #1 Formula? And what is the ratio of each color and developer? Would really apreciate your help😊
thank you, could u please tell me what shampoo to use? do i use purple shampoo or simple shampoo to kept my ash blonde stays the same colour longer. What can i do when its fades away? can they foil again to be ashblonde?.thanks
When u graduated cosmetology school where did you go next ??
Do you do any rising in between toner #1, root smudge and toner #2? Or do you just keep adding on top of it. How long in between each steps do you leave it on?
Did you wash after root smush before you put the 2 Nd formula toner on ?
I’m in cosmology school and am so happy I stumbled upon your videos. Thank you for taking the time to make such high quality educational content. I can’t wait to apply these techniques to my own practice!
Thank you so much! I’m glad you’re enjoying it ♥️♥️
The best way to support the channel is to tell your friends and anyone you know whose interested in hair about us ♥️
Just curious on why you need two toners. Couldn't it be done with the second one?
Hi this looks beautiful!! I was just wondering if you would generally consider this a full or partial balayage service? Thank you!
This is a full!
Hi! Is this a 50:50 ration for the toners?
gorgeous 😍 fanola has some nice toners
Love your honesty! Beautiful job! All your videos are awesome! Some people don't understand the patience and detailed work. Lifting a dark brown/black hair client. It's great and challenging at the same time. Ty! 🎯💯👏🏼👏🏼❤️❤️❤️❤️😘
Hiii! Do you shampoo and condition hair before toning? Or just shampoo?
On previously coloured hair, I do both. On virgin hair with one lift, just shampoo!
Sometimes also called Russian ashblonde
I thought about this... Bringing Asian hair easily to blonde. I see so Many Asian girls with beautiful blonde hair. My hair is naturally ash brown & although I've been platinum blonde in past. All my recent attempts to ask for blonde at hair salons have resulted in gold tone dark blonde at best. I think the Salons want to make money asking you to come back for another blonding appointment. BTW my hair is in VERY good condition. The fact is tho if you don't do it right, I won't be back for the 2nd 3rd & possibly 4th attempt.
Hi, when u say 6vol for toning, do u mean 6vol developer?? Also what’s the ratio for mixing the toners?
I love this channel!! Girl you are amazing 🤩
What did you use for toners love
Hi! Do you know if getting that same level of ash blonde on Asian dark hair would be possible to do in ONE session if my hair has hi lift brown/red balayage without any bleach?
Where are you located? I’m asian and have been scared since my last one was damaged by someone who doesn’t know what they’re doing. So beautiful!
I love your work. Thank you for sharing this super educational video!
Quick question, what would you do if a client hair is very straight and there is no frizzy hair to tease?
Thank you for this video! I really appreciate your critique at the end. No one is perfect and I do that to myself all the time. We are always growing and trying to improve ourselves. I do that everytime I do sometimes hair.
Hi what’s the 3rd toner you’re using in the 2nd toner combo - 9-1? I can’t seem to find that shade. Thanks :)
I really wish hair dressers that I have gone to understand some of what you showed... this is stunning and those low lights are fabulous the way you do it
Thank you matey it’s amazing informations there and im glad i found your video
This is beautiful , and I appeciate your transprency with the lift, left to rigth side.
Truly incredible video!
Why using 20vol when depositing colour?
Two stars and a wish is something i will use every single service. It’s so easy to be negative
If the customer wants the same next time she comes back. Do you use the same technique or do you change it?
I truly appreciate your awareness and training of all of the steps needed to achieve the best service without cutting corners. More often designers do not understand how to tone the brassy or orange out of extreme lifting or how to use Balayage, foil and root toning together for one seemless look.
How much does it cost mam😅
How much does it cost mam😅
I hate that you cut her hair
How long did it take to do all the foils? Did you start your process time after your last foil?
Could we get a link to all of the products in the description please?
But what shears do you have?! I’m in love
Can we only use « Toner#1 formula » ?
I love you. I always aways see something i can improve on
Did you use the regular blondme bleach or the clay one? what ratio was used for the developer? beautiful work and technique!
Why didn't I find you sooner!!!!!!
So easy technique. I love you!!!!!!
Thanks!!!
I'ts wonderful, i would like the same hair
Who is the person doing the hair here? I want her to do my hair!
I actually Love your hair color too! Do you have a tutorial on that?
Looks beautiful I love it ❤️❤️❤️❤️
i love it....
I'm never going blond again myself, but if I were to, I hope to have someone with your level of expertise.
So beautiful !! What’s your toner line? For 9, 5-21, 8-19? Thanks
Schwarzkopf!
good job 👍 thank
How can buy that color that u use?thank you
Excellent job! I like it so much. Thank you.
Thank you too!
Can you please show how you curled the hair?
Love this! I have to ask, how much do you charge for this service?
I'm guessing $500-600
how long does it last when its curled?
I’m learning so much!!♥️♥️♥️ thank you so much 😊
Wow what a great transformation!!! This is what i wanted with my hair but got something totally different. I had virgin hair brown about a level 4 and i wanted a light blonde. i turned out caramel colored .......anyway is there anything i can do to get this corrected? I wish i can send you before and after pics to see what you think can be done.
It sounds like you need to have it relightened
Great video thankyou !!!
For the last formula, Is it 9, 5-1? Cause I can’t find 9-1
There is 9-1 but it might be backordered. It’s always the most popular colour in our salon
Oh ok, thank you!
Thank you for doing asain hair
Can you show your filming set up
Honestly it’s just a tripod and my phone 😂 I don’t have the funds to get a better setup at the moment
love the board! and cool ideas
Omg where did you get those foils from I love them
From Schwarzkopf I’m assuming since they say blondme all over it
Love it!
I’m totally stealing the two star thing
It’s how I train all my apprentices. It’s the reason why they get improve so fast!
This is sooo beautiful! 😍😍😍
Asian hair is so pretty
Omg do my hair 😍
Art!!!

Gorgeous!!
Thank you!!
I just found you on TikTok and I loved how beautiful you explained everything thank you so much it was so helpful
Truly gorgeous. Job well done! ☺️
Hmm..never reply..
Why your client always closed her eyes when she smile😅😆😂, pikaboo all will hide when she ll close her eyes .... Just kidding and being humorous. This is actually the joke we used among our fellow Asians eho have an extreme monolid eyes... We would say honey please open your eyes... Open your eyes( when they laugh) haha... Or well all hide ... 😄😆😅😂😂. Its like you would call your caucasian folks those too pale... Hey ghost or stuffs like that. Just joking... 😁😆.
Okey, always exciting works and satisfying.
