You should put your amplifier above the CD player .. for two reasons : it will add weight and stability to your cd player, and your amplifier will have a better air flow through it .. remember that heat goes up .. your cd player doesn't like heat that comes from the amp, and your amp cannot breathe properly if you cover the ventilation holes on the top of it, with a device .. so ..
@@reyiiteleco I'm glad it helped .. Your system will last longer ;) ... Now just another "little" recommendation .. I like your system, it definitely looks like the one I would buy for myself .. I see you've got an Ortofon Bronze .. it is a good cart for sure .. but if you want to go to the next level in sound quality with your (great) SL1200 GR, you should check Nagaoka's cartridges (MP-110, 150, 200) .. they are not impressive on paper (elliptic stylus, basic look), they cost pretty much the same as your Bronze, they are MM based (MP stands for Moving Permaloy .. but they work just like an MM cart) so you can keep your MM phonostage, they are well known to work like a charm with Technics' TTs and arms, and they deliver the kind of sound quality you can only reach with a good MC system ... much more expensive ... you'll get more dynamics, powerful bass, great midrange, higher and softer trebles, transparency, air, soundstage, etc .. so yeah, it's totally worth it in my opinion .. but if you wanna keep your Bronze, it's ok, it's a pretty good cart :)

Vinyl sounded so much better. Although this depends on many factor, like mastering, edit, and many other things , vinyl sounded clear, spacious, definition. Cd sounded dull not better than vinyl. I was thinking of the Ortofon 2m bronze for my Technics sl 1800 MK2.

Hey Ejo... do you have a link for that cartridge? I’d like to check it out
Why is the 2M black just a design thing in your opinion ?
Black just makes it look cheap. They should of made it a clear gold to signify a premium upgrade or a clear pink/ice blue
Isn´t the Cartrige mounted to far forward in the Headshell? Is it maybe shorter than the older models?
My first thought!
Thank you. Not an awful lot going on but I still enjoyed the vid. I’m about to purchase a 1200gr and I’m wondering about speakers?

Yeah. Very common on these overpriced Panasonic musically challenged machines!
What number anti skating are you using for this setup?

You always match the tracking force of your stylus. Thats the standard way. IE : Tracking force 1.5 = A.S. =1.5
How have you been finding the cue lever on the GR? I've got a MK7 and I'm interested to see how they compare.
I’m digging my MK7

It’s holding up pretty good,. I changed the stylus in the head shell, upgrade it to a sapphire tip.

I would never use a professional turntable with a s-type tonearm with a quality Bronze cartridge. Will it never end?
So what would you use?
Maybe do some research on the 1200gr before making such a dumb comment. People use way more expensive carts on this turntable than the bronze.
Why?, what is the prob?
May I ask why?
Well I guess that's not a problem for you on your Crosley suitcase record player.
