Ill be honest, the wrecks got me into nascar, so i came for the wrecks, stayed for the racing😂😂😂
Same
Comers and goers, passing throughout and for the lead, storylines, and strategy.
I’d say for me strategy/equipment management races are great. Love the idea of different people being in the front and teams facing consequences if they don’t manage correctly.
Exactly. That makes a great race. Also I love your channel. Great takes always.
@@TheFastLanewithIsaiah Appreciate it!
@@daysofrichie Sure thing.
I remember being in the infield, watching the big screen at the 2022 Coke 600, and seeing them 4-wide coming out of 4 and I was like “Shit’s about to go down” and then they started wrecking and then Suarez collected Buescher, and I was like “oh shit,” but then Bueschers car got off the ground and I remember standing on top of a camper in awe, watching the big screen, and just saying like “OH SHIT!” repeatedly. Shit was crazy to witness in person and that was what made that race memorable for me.
What is my definition of a generational thriller in NASCAR?
By now, you most likely know my definition of a generational thriller in football: a game that is extremely high scoring and is absolutely raining touchdowns. A game where neither team’s defense can stop the opposing offense, and sometimes, both teams score 40+ points.
But let me tell you my definition of a generational thriller in NASCAR…
If there’s just a bunch of chaos and madness, and there’s, like, 3 or more drivers arguing over the lead on the same lap, and there’s a bunch of beating and banging, naturally, I am going to think to myself, “This is awesome!”
If there’s 5 or more drivers within a second of each other, it is going to have me on the edge of my seat.
Honestly what makes a Great Race is the Finish, and the Battles Mid pack and Strategy Calls
Big strategy elements are key, when were are not talking about areo blocking or areo at all.
I am all for the story affecting the race, but nothing makes me annoyed more when I see people say “the race would have been good if x driver didn’t win”
When they actually race each other instead of worrying about when their tires are going to blow
#24EVER man!
Unpredictability. That's not even a NASCAR only thing, it's for every motorsport. If you show up before qualifying and already know who's going to win the race, the strategy, and the the pole position, then there's simply no reason to show up or watch.
It's why I'd argue that there's alot of great races in most top racing series from the 80s and before which have just been lost to time. If your top drivers in an event are suddenly subjected to a mechanical or tire issue, or a pit road/strategy flub, than everything gets blown open and your attention is demanded. That's not to say mechanical attrition is a good thing, but it has a way of making races good.
i was at the ross chastain wall ride race that was the worse race i had even been too and ive been to some bad races
thought you looked familiar (Jpr)
