I was really looking forward to this 2021-up body style 9C1 Tahoe. After doing a couple of them, I have found them annoying to work on. The worst part is the labeling for the wires. Yes, it's great that some of the same things you find in the center console, you will also find in the left rear. But they changed the naming convention, and it doesn't jive with the 9C1 upfit guide. 6J3 for example, is G4 in the front, and G8 in the rear, and BOTH are mixed with different I/O wiring.
What is normally the wiring setup for a typical vehicle? I need my car upfitted but I have to provide everything so I need to make sure my battery is protected
It's a detective car... some departments just put up a suction cup light to the windshield and call it a day. Compared to that setup, this thing is stacked.
It’s a detective unit. Way more than most have. People who want more side lighting, including this installer, for a detective unit are seriously ill informed on the operational needs for detectives.
@@Andrew-wj2mc so what its a detective car its not being used for undercover work you want people to see you are do you want to be rear-ended because you don't have rear deck lights

Is there a name for the position 3 flash patterns? Been seeing it more and more but haven't been able to put a name to it

@@Andrew-wj2mc exactly. The problem LEDs brought with them is everything feels they must go everywhere simply because they can. Less is more.
