I'm definitely choosing Whelen over SoundOff anytime. I love programming Whelen systems, there's no limit on what you can program with those (especially Core). I've had many people loving ideas and suggestions that can be realized with Core, definitely a huge benefit both in terms of safety and in terms of ease-of-use for the driver/ crew. Apart from that, products are properly thought through (alone the knob and slide switch controller is a blessing!) and quality is close to unbeatable.
Whelen is to the competition what Germany is to the US. By the time everyone else catches up to what they made, they already made something new and better.
For the life of me, I don't understand why Harris County Sheriff switched from the Whelen to Soundoff. IMHO Soundoff looks terrible and very purple from a distance.
I love the Whelan products, its all we try and use. That being said, I do also like to see flash patterns and what others are doing. I'd also love to see the black one as it stands but dark, To see all these tinted products, or not see... I've never seen a full bar tinted before. Its an interesting method and Id love to see it. and a big pet peeve of mine; WHY the hell are tracers on the ground!!! Why are they not mounted topside using the OEM Roof rack mounts, or under the roof rack rails if it comes with one?!? Tint it if you think it looks bad. But if its about being visible in an intersection, they lets SEE it where it counts! Not glaring off the surface of a wet, dry, or icy roadway. Yes, its nice to have a puddle light. But there are already products for that's. there is no reason that a TRI color tracer cant be set up as a warning device and as a TA device. its 4 feet to 6 feet long ( You could make them longer on a roof). Or keep the ODBII functionality, but get that light up where it can be seen! especially at or through intersections. And with a TA in it, the functionality just tripled! It just makes me scratch my head that we put an emergency light in the floor/ground, the exact opposite purpose of its invention.
Have you ever had a problem with any day sim? I’m having a problem where day sim isn’t working. You have to power cycle the switch and it starts working.
Both vehicles look magnificent, however those green lights are for fire responders NOT for law enforcement. If they are placed on law enforcement vehicles, this truly is ridiculous 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Where I am in Canada, they are used as a Command light. So that person or that vehicle in in Command or is overall IC despite what agencies are involved. Fire, Police, EMS, PW, Green is IC. Yet in other Provinces East of me, Green is used for Volunteer FF to halls or scenes. @utilitac333 said it right, Uniformity nation wide, For both nations!
We use both Whelen & Feinix. No problems whatsoever with either. Many folks say the Feinix is brighter than the Whelen. And...by the way, we paid $999 for the Feinix brand new, from a dealer, and you're right. The Whelen is a much higher priced bar. But for the last 4 years, both lightbars have performed equally.
Golden video on a topic that doesn't really have any comedic videos, I love this so much. F*cking gold.

Im still waiting for the ability to synch flash patterns with beat the beat of the song playing on the "infotaintment" center
@@whuffer5103 Subwoofer preamp output to a Cencom Core input, set that input as a trigger pattern switch.
i agree i would choose dim lights over bright. i hate visability so i always go with whelen, I love the poor offset warning their lightheads have
i love the green on the light bar. also you said no one cares about the different patterns and stuff but trust me we do
Thanks for the feedback. Maybe we'll add a special segment

I was waiting to see that brake mode after he said how bright it is🤣🤣
Soundoff signal is superior these days. Whelen has unfortunately become too expensive and doesn't have as many options as soundoff signal
Not always, but mostly
Love being able to see all the flash patterns and vehicle integration features!
Love the sarcasm! We're TOTALLY going to make a special video just for you doing a 19 hour deep dive into it

You can program the mpower traffic advisors as running boards.
you curse like a sailor and i like it
edit: oh god
Reported for using the Lord's name in vain
Love your videos so funny when you were describing the console
Thank you!
Black one is looking way better 🔥
So when are you guys going to post some more videos?? It's been 4 months since the last one.
So much footage... So little time to edit

Damn that’s a bad ass Whelen tracer pattern. Is that hard to program that way?
DVI day sim 60, 0-315 and repeat front to back
@@utilitac333 Awesome. Thank you 😎🫡

This guy is hilarious….
So you can’t set the SL Runners to steady burn in cruise mode using blueprint?
Informative video. Side note: what kind of pants do you have?
5.11 apex or sum
I watched this again, i freaking love you dude i can’t stop laughing.
Show the brake modes on the black one
I would like to know which 2 departments these are for ??
Me too

The lights are very dim and they look like they are barely on. You power cycle the switch and it works fine. Can’t figure it out.
It’s only on the lights that are hooked up through the expansion modules. The data lights (lightbar and tracers) work perfect.
Sounds like you've already isolated the issue to the expansion module. If no firmware updates, I'd certainly start with a replacement

In some states, they're for work trucks. I vote we get some uniformity in this nation.

Yea I’ve seen that before

Lmfao this is great
You're great
The SL Runner looks way brighter than the Tracers!
I hate those tracers
:(
The m power lightbar blows away the whelen in brightness
The sound off is better
Shittiest Whelen spec ever, but still, Whelen all day, not even a question,.
