my injecto recommended sculptra instead of the filler that I requested. I have heavy skin but she said I looked good. I didn't have very noticeable jowels so I thought . I thought I needed under eye filler and cheek filler. She treated my temples ....really a few key areas around my face and I'm amazed. I still have more treatments to get to the end result but the first results already are amazing. im 45. It is so important to find an injector who you can trust and recommend the right things otherwise I'd be stuck in a contract with a med spa that recommended lip filler, cheek filler and chin filler. Not once did they mention sculptra and they wanted to put me on a plan of every 6 month touch ups . It didn't sound right so I decided to learn more first. Your channel has helped me make better decisions about these treatments. thank you
They may not be that skilled and honestly believed you needed filler. That wxcludes rhey typical upsale and add ons. Everyone wants to maximize profits.
They also may not have even been trained in Sculptra. Just because someone has a license to inject you doesn't mean they have sufficient training or skill.
They don’t recommend a sculptra because the results last longer than fillers. They make more money if you keep coming back for fillers. A good injector won’t hesitate to tell you NO you don’t need all of that.
I think They were not trained in sculptra x or were interested in you as a consistent returning customer using fillers ❤
So good to hear this! So thankful this channel has helped you. A lot of injectors don’t suggest things if they don’t do those things. This is why researching your options is so important!
I really appreciate your well rounded content.
Thank you for sharing all this knowledge!
love your honest explanations and the before and after-you did a great job:)
Im glade you spoke about weight and teeth. People ignore the weight part!
This is excellent information, thank you!
Oh man… you keep giving me ideas! On my dad’s side of the family we have what I have always referred to as “the Martin Jowls” I have always thought as I aged I would just have to live with them until my face reached that point where it was ready for a face lift but now I know I can look into sculptra! Thank for the hot tip!
Thanks for sharing your story and glad you found the video helpful! Please feel free to share it with others 🤗
Such a great topic! Thank you Emily for always sharing such awesome facial facts I’d never would’ve thought of. You’re amazing ❤
Thanks Caroweena 🥰
Incredible and informative vid!
Just great video as always!

Emily , your videos are so informative, explicit, allowing uninformed individuals as myself to make positive decisions in sculpting…
Thanks sir Wilmoth. Hope to see you again soon for treatment
Great video! Those before and after photos really show how important this is to keep a youthful look.
Thank you for this. It’s very helpful
Glad you think so!. Feel free to share with others.
Wow thanks for all the tips including about missing teeth!
I have slight jowls but af second round of Sculptra 3 weeks ago and already seeing a slight improvement
Thanks awesome Rachel. Thanks for sharing with us!
thank you for show on your own visage the areas it is helpful
You are one of the few people that explains everything in depth, which I appreciate when making a decision.
So glad you found it helpful! Please share this channel with others 🤗
I suffer from TMJ and decided to get Botox on my mandala. For me, big mistakes. As you said, it atrophied the muscle which created jowls for me. So here comes Sculptra to the rescue

Can you do one about Sculptra on your body?
So glad you enjoy the videos! Yes you can do Scultpra to your body. Here is a video explaining the areas you can treat 👉 ruclips.net/video/k-8u6MYdZL0/видео.html
FANTASTIC VIDEO ❤ SO INFORMATIVE ✔️ and I’m happy to say that I’m in the hands of Emily ;) I’ve done one treatment of sculptra with Emily, and I have another 2 to come before we take photos .
I love how Emily really takes the time to look closely at the entire face and create a plan in order to achieve the best contour results.
Thanks Emily ❤
Thank you for your lovely comment Karen! Hope 2 see you at the open house 🏡 🙏💕
Lanluma!!!! Bring this to the US..watch Claudia Glows podcast. She had better results with this biostimulator than Sculptra. Please start offering this to patients. Available in Europe however why not in the US? Many of us fail to respond to Sculptra yet do very well volume wise with Lanluma!!!
I actually posted your comment on my newest video with the answers to all of your questions! 😊 👉 ruclips.net/video/5PyfvY5ynvU/видео.htmlsi=3iPG3tVCuMA1QS6b
Impressed with the info here on your channel, i just subscribed!😊 I love that you touched on the healthy teeth subject and bone loss issue. I havent lost teeth but am older and plan on braces. I will be fighting to keep all my teeth and they will have to work with me if its suggested...i wonder if thats an issue for anyone else?
So glad you enjoy the info on the channel and thanks for subscribing! Teeth are a major issue with bone loss and I would fight to keep all my teeth and if you can’t it’s good to get an implant so that you can prevent bone loss to the lower jaw. I just saw a patient I’ve been treating this week and this is her 6th vial of Sculptra she’s done because it’s helped with all the volume loss to her submalar cheek area because they pulled out almost all of her teeth years ago when she was younger.
@@NaturalInjector oh my goodness, that's awful 😖 okay, so DEFINITELY no teeth pulling. Thank you for letting me know. It helped solidify my thinking about how to handle that part. Very appreciated!
@@janaeshaffer266 yes if you should avoid that for sure!
you are so right...i lost one of my teeth from the left side when i was 27 years old, and now at 44 years old, my left side jowl is worst then the right one :)
Thank you for sharing your story! When I was in the military they wanted to remove my wisdom teeth, as they do it seems with 90% of the recruits that join. They told me that they would likely grow in uneven and cause me problems later on. Several years later, so far no issues. I am so glad I declined treatment. Thanks again for sharing your story.
What is your opinion on Radiesse hyperdilate for the face, compared to Sculptra?
TY❤
You’re welcome!
Would like you to talk about upper lid hollowing. My eye shape changed, I had barely visible lids but now they're super visible have that A frame deformity.
I had masseter botox done 2 weeks ago and I am liking it so far, I know I need to wait for final results. however, I am aware this doesn't help with the jowls , how soon could I start Sculptra treatment?
What are your thoughts on co2 to help out collagen loss ?
Collegen is a very large protein molecule..that's why topically.. it doesnt to much..
How about Renuva?
You rock !!! Just wondering : If I had to use many vials , how long should I wait between each Scultra injection for a better result?
Glad you like the video! This video will help answer your question. I talk about how I dose Sculptra and long I typically wait between each treatment 👉 ruclips.net/video/fcbybJ4ymQM/видео.htmlsi=Kc6VQ76nOM3i8KAa
What are your thoughts on using it on neck & jowls?
Hello thanks for this video. Is sculptra creating type 1 collagen ?
You’re very welcome. Sculptra is said to mainly form type I collagen yes, a little of type III. This video has more information about that 👉 ruclips.net/video/GMhcEQJYnAs/видео.html
How long does it take to see the results of sculptra? Is it immediately like filler?
Totally agree with having Botox for the masseters. I’ve noticed since having that my jowls came out of nowhere!!!
Yea it can happen. Do you get Botox to the masseters because of grinding or for facial slimming?
@@NaturalInjector for teeth grinding. I might forgo the Botox and see what happens. Thankfully the sculptra is adding some fullness again
@@rachelteeuws1241practice mewing and facial yoga, do facial cupping to release pressure from those muscles…
@@rachelteeuws1241 Oh for grinding. Curious do you know how many units they treated you with? Glad the Sculptra is helping
@@NaturalInjector pretty sure around the 20 unit mark.
I went to consult for sculptra in temples and was told not to get it because it won't lift. I just found your channel.
Lift is something that happens when you replace volume and the skin has more underlying structural support. This can be a result of using Sculptra and filler.
@@NaturalInjector turns out you are in los angeles!!! Woohoo!
I dont know what to do, lateral volume deficit, treating with sculptra or radiesse? which will less expensive ? quantity & price?
Great video, Emily, thank you! Would you recommend Sculptra for someone with big cheeks and high cheek bones? I'm 40 and I don't have jowls, I have very good skin and look much younger, but my skin is very thick, so I was thinking of getting some biostimulators as a preventative measure, but I don't want my cheeks to look puffy, they are pretty big already...
Glad you found the video helpful! It’s so hard for me to give advice without seeing your face. I offer virtual consults if that helps. I’m guessing you feel you fall into the facial aging type of sagger?
@@NaturalInjector Yes, something like maybe Gigi Hadid... I will look into the virtual consults - I wish I was closer so that I could do that in person (but I'm in Europe unfortunately 😅).
@@liviusss Ahh ok I understand. Hope you can find a good provider in Europe. My best advice is to maintain a healthy body weight. 😊
@@NaturalInjector I hear ya 😅, even though I have big cheeks I'm on the thinner side, and have lost quite a bit of weight because of stress these past months...
BTW an idea for a video - procedures to improve the eye area?
@@liviusss Yes I get a lot of requests about how to rejuvenate under the eye and I wish I had a good solution. If I know of one in the future I’ll make a video about it
I ❤ Sculptra to the preauricular area! PS. I'm a sinker. Works miracles (if you combine it with Sculptra to the temples) to restore a youthful shape.
Yes the temples are so important! Thanks for your comment Carolina! 🥰
Did you reach out to that place?
QUAL O VALOR DO SCULPTRA , DIRETO DO FABRICANTE GALDERMA, SÓ O PREÇO?

Rachel Hunter is 54 years old… not 46 but still beautiful
You are correct she is 54 now but I was referring to how old she was when that article on jowls came out. I should have said “the then, 46 year old supermodel.” Thanks for watching Kristy!
What you think of using Lanluma vs Sculptra for facial volume loss? Love to hear your opinion!
I would love to but unfortunately we don’t have Lanluma here in the US so I can’t give my opinion on it.
What do you think about red light therapy?
I use it, the omnilux, and it’s excellent. I’m 55 yrs of age.
Dear Emily, would you happen to know if it's possible to have Sculptra a few months after Radiesse?
Yes I think that should be ok to do Radiesse a few months after Scultpra
Hello I just finished watching 2 doctors agree with each other that they prefer injecting hyraulonic acid, because bio stimulators like sculptra are to unpredictable. That they might get too much of a filled out area in the face making them look puffy because everyone reacts differently to this drug and hyraulonic acid is more controlable and can even be reversed with hyaluronidase, while sculptra cannot. Can you speak on this?
For every 2 docs who don’t like Sculptra because they say it’s unpredictable you can find 2 plus many more who love it and say that it is predictable. I have addressed this with my Sculptra videos because I am aware of providers who say it’s unpredictable. You can take a look at my Sculptra playlist I believe I spoke on that in this video 👉 ruclips.net/video/kfIXn-jo31Q/видео.htmlsi=U9bSCiWl_OGxhNc9
What about buccal fat removal?
These videos have actually talked me out of getting any work done because I really don’t see much of a difference in the before and after photos. So, idk. That’s a lot of risk and a lot of money for these microscopic changes
If u could make a midline facelift video, id be very greatful!! Or different facelifts for different ages/problem areas. ❤
Ik this was a while ago, but i hope u can still answer. My face looks a lot like gigi hadid. Im more for a bang for my buck type if person, im 28 & have done immense research on surgery fillers & everything out there. Id rather spend i big amount on a sugery that fixs multiple things, rather than on some expensive filler. Theres a facelift i saw on instagram that i forgot to save and i THINK its called a mid line face lift. Where the arrow is pointing in the main image, the instagram post showed the facelift scar/cut w.e u want to call it, they lift the face from ur ears to ur eyes. (the arrow is pointing in the middke of the cheek but where the arrow begins, near her ears is what im talking about.) Its that diagnal line from ur ears to ur eyes, and they lift all that. So not a full facelift, bc they dont lift the neck. But i think this would be a perfect surgery for me, since i have jowls and my eyes are turned down a little so if they lifted my face, id have less jowls, and my eye area would be lifted. Is this surgery called a midline face lift ? & do u recommend itd work for the turned down eyes, crows feet, & lifting my overall slightly sagging face (from cheeks just like gigi) gigis probelm areas are juat like minez except i dont have sagging eyelids from the fat above the eyelid. I more have slight crows feet (its JUST starting to stick around 😢😅)& my eyes turn down when i smile, not much when my face is relaxed. Atleast u can see it more when i smile, i just want more of a fox eye lift, but not bella hadid level! I just want my eyes to turn slightly up, instead of slightly down.
Interesting. I never liked my Jowls. have a lot of “lines” on my face because my face muscles and it’s structure is designed to give a lot of mimic and a lot of people say I have a “expressive” face. I am 23.
Thanks for sharing your story
Time to start doing anti aging massages as well as facial exercises at a young age
Those won’t help prevent jowls. But regular exercise can help keep you in shape which can help decrease facial fat which can contribute to jowls
I got two teeth removed when I got my braces at 18, I’m 25 now and ohhh yeah, my skin is flawless and wrinkle free but my bone structure for sure makes me look older
Thanks for sharing your story! Would you consider getting implants or would you rather avoid getting implants?
@@NaturalInjectorif there is too much bone loss implants are difficult to get
@@jackieburns5257 oh ok. Did you consult with a dentist and they told you it would be difficult?
@@NaturalInjector yes

Emily, love your channel! 3 months ago I got masseter Botox and it was the worst decision ever. My face has sunken in and I now have jowls which I never had before getting this procedure done. I went back to get Sculptra 8 weeks ago around the lateral part of my face and it hasn’t helped. My face is still lacking support from the masseter Botox and my jowls are looking more obvious. It’s a really depressing feeling as I would rather have kept my chubbier/youthful face without the sag and jowls if I knew this was the outcome. Do you have any advice for me? Thanks!
So good to hear you love the channel! Good to hear the Sculptra is helping. You can continue to wait on the results from Sculptra as it’s a journey and you may need more treatments. You can also have filler placed to the lateral area of the jawline to give you more support, and the results are instant. Did yo have masseter Botox because you grind or for facial slimming? Do you know how many units they used?
I just turned 40 but uncertain about how to find an injector who has anatomical knowledge that truly understands placement. Suggestions I’ve made in the past about what I’ve learned/what I believe might help, seem to be taken lightly and leaves me less than confident.
The only injector that has, or will ever touch my face, is the Board Certified Plastic Surgeon I've been going to since my mid 30's.
What about Nerfertiti lift?
That’s done with neuromodulators like Botox. It relaxes the platysmal muscles but it’s not going to replace lost volume to the midface.
so glad you brought this up... I was so scared to say something but Gigi is too young to be dealing with jowls at the moment.. I wonder what was the cause.
I think she just has a vey unique facial structure. Did you see I quickly featured her baby pics, you can see from her baby photos she always had thick heavy skin to her lower face.
Her facial features are what make her face unique
@@sideshowmob before she had the baby.
@@NaturalInjector I feel this happened right after the birth of her baby. I wonder if pregnancy has something to do with facial changes
i had mini cheek lift one year ago, is sculptra ok after face lift?
You should ask the provider who treats you for advice on an individual basis but I have successfully treated patients with Sculptra who had a facelift with no issues and good results.
I have a question after sculptra treatment Can I use micro-needling?
Doing micro-needling within a few days may make your skin more sensitive, since it had to be cleaned and poked for your Sculptra treatment. I would ask the provider who treated you.
I haven’t done yet but I purchased home kit from Quer skincare so after I finish the treatment maybe better to get sculptra
Why not just use ulthera? It easily solve the jowls problem at early stages.
It can help but Sculptra can be helpful too. For me, I like the idea of using an injectable that’s being delivered deep into the tissue. With devices sometimes you have to worry about it targeting fat, and that I would not want. With Sculptra I don’t have to worry about this issue.
What about the temples? To bring midface up!!
That’s a great question. It won’t help with jowls but it helps make the eyes look more youthful! I’ll be coming out with a separate video on Sculptra to the temples
I'm getting radiesse in my temples. I probably won't have it hydrolyzed either.

hello! is it possible that excess fat gives the impression of jowls?
if so, can this case be treated with aqualyx?
Yes excess fat can indeed contribute to jowls. I’m not familiar with aqualyx. What country do you live in? I don’t think we have this product in the US
@@NaturalInjector I live in Greece! Aqualyx is widely used to reduce localized fat.
Do you think filler could restore bone loss in the chin?
@@afroditi5845 Oh I’ve not heard of it. I wonder if it’s similar to Kybella here in the US. Is Aqualyx and injection? No filler doesn’t restore bone but it can mimmic bone.
@@NaturalInjector Yes, Aqualyx is a type of fat dissolving Injection. Both Aqualyx and Kybella contain a solution of deoxycholic acid!
So, If the filler can mimic bone, it would be beneficial in reducing the appearance of jowls, am I right?
@@afroditi5845 yes slightly and that’s a great question. Volux just got approved for jawlines and you can put filler in the prejowl and post jowl sulcus and other areas to the jawline but the thing about jowls is you have to address the mid face.
Took me a while to realzie you were saying jowels, not gels. Even the closed captioning is saying gels 😂

Smiling too much. I wouldn’t think that would contribute to jowls
I used some monies my dad left me to get a facelift, at 67. Sadly I have what is called Cobra Neck now. And one side is awful, with a protrusion of my salivary gland hanging just under my right jaw and below the lump many veins and crimping. (He, my doctor, tried to revise by putting in a mesh from one side to the other, when I believe he should have lifted more of the SMAS in the jawline area, just above.) I even have a jowl on the other but less. Not sure it would qualify to get on Botched but, man, I have thought of trying. At times it brings me to tears as I feel I wasted money. Should have bought a car! I aged better than most, as I did not form jowls until later too.
Thank you for sharing your story. I’m sorry for your experience. Have you tried to get on Botched?
@@NaturalInjector I have thought of it but fear it is not bad enough. I do think the salivary gland part might be a challenge too.
I would never ever use sculptra.. The nodules that form for some are not worth the risk .. If a person develops nodules then they are blamed for not massaging it enough .. Who wants to worry about massaging throughout the day? In the future you'll hear more about this as we do the once so great 'filler' ...
I gotta say…the before and afters you provided are slightly questionable on this video too. The positions of their heads. The man’s head is positioned upwards more and more with his pics. That matters.

Just get a lifting
I know this is helpful for some people do you never actually show in any of your videos? In my opinion you never actually show which way the injector should do the treatment in order to minimize whatever the thing is that you’re talking about
The problem I have with this is that people that are going to look for an experienced or knowledgeable injector to do the treatment. They don’t know when the person isn’t qualified because they don’t know what to look for. I think it would be helpful if you would let people know this is what someone who knows how to treat these properly the things they should be saying when you ask them how the treatment will go. This is what they should tell you or this is what these are the things that you know what you should expect them to do if they know what they’re doing to me that is with some more important than explaining how people age and all this just useless information when it comes time to sit in the chair and pay you a lot of money to either completely screw you up or make you feel more useful they need more information because it’s the medical actual treatment that is what is difficult for people that aren’t Schooled in these things to pick up on easily and or to research on their own
That's honestly why I wont let anyone except the Board Certified Plastic Surgeon I've been seeing since my mid 30's touch my face.
What i dont get is how some practitioners have all the signs of aging and yet they preach these procedures like they are the gospel. Like I would seriously trust someone who has done all the procedures he/she states and has the before and after to prove them. This injector has a very droopy face with jowls to the floor for crying out loud!
