Much respect to my Royal Marine brothers across the pond. Fantastic band, smart looking Marines and a fantastically great rendition of this March. Hats off to the highly accomplished tuba players as their contra-point melody is fantastic! Wow! Great Britain should be proud of these Marines.

You can't beat the Royal Marines. Even the musicians are elite! Guards eat your heart out!
There's a video featuring recruits to the Royal Marines band. If accepted they learn how to play a second instrument; a brass player will learn a woodwind instrument and vice versa. I think they're trained to be medics for combat duties. A pretty good career.

I saw the movie Bridge on the River Kwai and Sir Alec Guinness would be hard to be equaled. Even when he marched with his troops, the way he held his head, the way he swing his arms. Though the movie is a far cry from the reality of the horrible conditions the prisoners worked under (read the book The Lost Highlander), there's something about the movie that still stays with me after all these years. And I am 71, saw the movie when I was seven and peppered my oldest sister with questions about the Japanese and British troops. Back then it was rare to see a full length movie with mainly British actors.

stupid saying because...."for the wages of sin is death, (we all die, therefore we are all sinners) but the free gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Wonderful. I can remember playing the beautiful eupho counter melody to this March as our school cadet band (Melbourne High School) marched up Swanson St on Anzac Day in the mid 1970s. As we marched, one of the old WW2 diggers danced through our marching ranks while playing the spoons. My music teacher just said play it all triple forte as I was the only eupho. God I was exhausted after we had played it 3 times before we got to the Shrine. Amazing memories. All those old diggers are long gone now, but I’m still playing Eupho and loving those Kenneth Alford marches!
The military bearing being maintained by every Marine in this band while performing is simply impeccable! This just shows you the level of perfection and excellence of one of the world's greatest military branches 🇬🇧

An observation that I had also. I find that most nations that have a present or past relationship to the crown tend to have a strict military bearing. Being an veteran from the Canadian army, I always found that we had more snap to our step, and more precision than that of our southern neighbours.
Absolutely! No other military in the world marches with such perfection and "oneness". Army, Navy & Air Force. They're absolute perfection. A joy to watch and listen to.
@@brianjohnston9822 The British Empire once colonized nearly 25% of the world. Today they leave their language and culture as a legacy on every continent. That's impressive!
They should be doing something useful like cleaning the streets. Waste of taxpayers money.
Love the movie. These men were all heros.
But, did they know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior? That is the real question.
These folks have obviously done this before. The baritone countermelody really makes this a stellar performance.
My Grandfather served in Europe during WW2 he took part in the Landings just after D-Day and taught me this when I was a small boy in the mid 70's and of course I heard it played during the last Remembrance Day he was well enough to travel to Britain for in 1988 as we watched the Veterans March down Whitehall, but I don't think my Mom forgave him for teaching me to Sing "Hitler has only got one ball the other is in the Albert Hall" and so on 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Brilliant side drum(snare) as well.
So pleased these highly disciplined men are looking after us. thank you so much. God bless you
The Brits definitely have the best marching bands in the world.
But it won't save their souls.
This tune always brings tears to my eyes my father who was with the Air Force had only high praises for the Green Berets
I remember when my sister was a member of the Frankston Mariners marching girls team way back in the very late 1950's & early 1960's,
out in Melbourne, Australia, Colonel Bogey was always played as one of the tunes to display march too.
I cry when I hear such a good as this marching band 🥺 I hope I can watch you live, I remember my grandfather marching band
I'm a Yank, but stirs my heart anyway. Good show!
Watch my video from the Band in Central Park New York on September 2022! Just splendid!
I go back to 1952 in the REME. Alright, we weren’t known for military drills. But at Passing Out Parade we marched to the REME band , and even now when I hear Lilliburlero it does something for me. Somethings you never forget, after all these years.
My Grandfather was in the REME. Was at Normandy tough Man.
