To our American kinfolk across the pond, YOU will always be "our brother's in arms" We enjoy having you all in the UK. May God bless our American Brother's and my homeland the United Kingdom.
GOD BLESS THEM ALL.
To our British kinfolk: may you always live in freedom and peace!
@@libertycowboy2495 Thank you, Sir, respect.
My grandfather commanded a large Allied hospital in England during WW2. We GM have a photo of Queen (later Queen Mother) visiting the base & being guided by him. Our family heirloom reminds us of the ties that bind our nations together. Britons never will be slaves.
Amen forever united we stand, God bless the USA and God bless the United Kingdom 🙏❤️🇺🇲🇬🇧 thank you to all who have served
As someone from a US Navy, Army, and Marine family, it was amazing when the UK invited us to do this, and our brotherhood could not be explained simply, I would gladly die for both if given the chance. God bless our nations.
For my dad who fought in both Europe and the Pacific theaters in WWII and passed away on Veteran’s Day, I say thank you.
RIP
God bless you
U.s.a. I love you
Thank you to your dad!
🪖🎺🇱🇷♥️🇬🇧
Thank you Marines! You did the US, the Corps, and John Phillips Sousa all very proud, and gave this American a smile and a happy tear.
As a former flautist, I can say that those ladies ROCKED!!! This piece is hard enough to play on a flute or piccolo while sitting, but standing, marching in formation and turning your body in odd ways so you are always facing forward is a feat! I tear up every time I hear this tune and find my fingers automatically moving to the notes.
You know what I love best about watching these Marines preform? Is the 'fact' that each and everyone of them does this so very well, and that they are as ready to pick up arms and defend this country under this Constitution as it was written! Within and without these boarders! Not to man, one party, or wanabe dictator! If you want to bring tears to the eyes of a U.S. Marine, just show him another Marine doing his part in service to this country. Be it on the parade ground field or, the field of battle, I guaranty those who live in this country are in the best hands you can be! Semper fi brothers and sisters of the Corps! Stay true, stay safe, I got your back, I know you've got mine!
If only we had a Commander-in-Chief worthy of these Marines.
If you can't enjoy Stars and Stripes Forever played by a good band, you're probably dead. Thanks USMC, and salute to the Royal Marines.
Or a communist.
🇺🇸 is the greatest country in the world and in human history
What a great performance. BRAVO!! Absolute American classic all the way. Thanks to the Marine Corps Band. You are perfection. 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
I am US Navy retired 1973 to 1993. The United States Marine Corps band is such an outstanding unit and the performance of John Philip Sousa‘s Stars & Stripes forever was performed in a flawless and most professional manner. The pride and professionalism of each and every member of the band are true ambassadors of our nation to the world.
As a retired member of the Royal Navy 73 - 95 your boys did you proud 👏 alongside the world's greatest military band HM Majesty's Band of Royal Marines..
Played at the speed intended by Sousa, by the band it was written for. Love the way the trumpets and trombones held their horns properly, too.
I love military marches and music. It gives me a sense of pride, patriotism, respect for military band performers, most of the music is upbeat/moving/arousing. The percussion, timing, disciplined, professionalism stands out.
Tears of pride and patriotism. . .
It's a Marine divisional band. It's not THE Marine Band, the President's Own.
... by the band for which it was written. 😉
@@SpeccyMan That's a comment, up with which I will not put.:)
So proud to see the US Marines perform in the UK! They did an incredible job! ❤️🇺🇸
What a privilege it is to watch and hear our wonderful US marines. Semper Fi
For some reason this made me emotional. Especially when the Marines did the slow march. How incredible.
I’m glad the RUclips algorithm brought this to me this morning. It was truly an honor to perform with the Royal Marines as a US Marine.
Forever!

Absolutely love sousa

Absolutely brilliant, as a former British Soldier it was an honour to have served alongside The United States Marines in Iraq & Afghanistan.
Gives me goose bumps..RESPECT.
Thank you for your beautiful post. All the best to you. 🇺🇸🇬🇧🇬🇧🇺🇲
All the love back atcha, mate!
Atkinson: God bless you sir. I'm sure my respect reflects that of many when I say thank you for being our faithful partner.
When my American ex was here in the uk his mom said with all the terrorist attacks he should ring the us embassy in London. He did, they told him he spoke English, so was fair game for terrorists, they didn’t care what accent you spoke it with, British, Australian, Canadian….🤷🏼♀️
It did give me a chuckle because I’d already said he didn’t need to ring them & gave a similar reason why 😂
His parents and two brothers were in the us navy, he was idle and barely even worked. I could never get my head around naval air station Whidbey having planes…it should just have boats 😂 to my Aspergers way of thinking. A beautiful place to visit, I’d go again if he wasn’t there
A beautiful composition by Mr. Sousa and played perfectly by this Marine Band. It is right and just that it is the national march of the United States .
And on the 8th day God made the Marines. Army guy here, thank you for posting. My son is USAF. We all love America.
Amen!! Thank you for your service!
Navy guy here SEMPER FORTIS
THANK YOU all for your honor and sacrifice to the USA. AMERICA
would NOT EXIST without your
SERVICE.
What an honor for a Marine divisional band to play in such hallowed ground.
One of the greatest marches ever written.
Honor to the Marines and to all the armed forces of that great country which is the United States of America. I served in the military for 14 years as a medical officer and had the honor of knowing them. Unfortunately, I also have a tragic memory: I was present in Lebanon in 1983 when the tragic attack occurred and I was able to lend my assistance as a surgeon.
Thank you Doctor for your service. I am sure that it made a difference to many. God bless you and God bless America.
God bless you Sir.
Thank you for your service and all you have done!
Thank you, Sir, for your services all render, you did make a difference on that day.
Semper Fidelis
Thank you for your service!!!!!!!👍🇺🇸
Never will the Royal Manine Band be beaten. As the 82 year old son of a 45 Commando It makes me proud of my Dad.
Fabulous. US and UK forward together....forever 🇺🇸 🇬🇧

Tomorrow, Together.
Loved the stern look on the Gunnery Sergeant Drum Major's face. Great performance by the band.
I have heard this song played quite a few times, while myself was a Active Duty Marine. Love It Ooh-Rah and SEMPER FI to all my Marine Btotheers and Sisters. TY
BEATIFUL!!!
Retired USAF Tech Sergeant here, ('76-'96) and I must say that was totally awesome. I have always loved military marching bands and Sousa marches. Had tears in my eyes. Again.
Every time I hear that March I get chills. Our municipal band plays it every 4th of July with 2 outstanding piccolo players. Our band in Long Beach is the oldest municipal band in the US. Hearing the Marine Corps Band play it with their marching skills on display is wonderful.
Just beautiful brass, drum harmony by the well disciplined US Marine band. Patriotic and Impressive! Thank you. Chang from California
I cant imagine how many hrs of practice that took. I was expecting the Sousaphones to get thrown in the air like M-1 rifles!!! Mr. Sousa was CERTAINLTLY smiling down on that!!! Stars and Stripes composed on Christmas Day!!! GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!
My oh my! May God bless the USMC & HM Royal Marines.
USMC, one of the most beautiful dress uniforms in the world.

Yes, a great uniform but some of those guys need a serious haircut.

OK US marines beautiful 😍
Royal Marines Band Uniforms are the pinnacle without a doubt. USMC uniforms were taken from British uniforms anyway.

I served for 16 years in the Royal Marines and I must comment on the US uniform, it puts the Royal Marines to shame,I know as Shakespeare said " uniform does not a a soldier make".
Once a Marine always a Marine. Makes me proud to have served in the Corps for four years on active duty and one year in the active reserves!
My dad and 2 older Brothers were Marines I'm the only Navy Guy...During Holidays I always got Razzed.........
I love seeing this sort of thing where our US allies come across and join our amazing British Armed Forces in a show of unity, pride, stoicism, and strength. There should be so much more of this.
Outstanding. It is great to be an American and enjoy hearing our lovely bands play these beautiful songs. Keep yourselves safe in this crazy world of ours. (CA)
*I Love Sousa's "Stars and Stripes Forever".* This stirring song has been mined of its many flowing, and dramatic sections; ending up in any march that you've *ever* heard.
God bless America and the UK-all of you, our precious “cousins,” and know how much we love and respect you. ❤️🇺🇸✨🇬🇧❤️
I love the US Marine Corps..............our brothers in arms !
I loved marching to this in parades as an U.S. Army Infantryman when i was younger.
I just love Sousa’s Stars and Stripes Forever! ❤️🇺🇸
I'm former Navy and worked closely with my Marine brothers in the helicopter community for over 8 years and they are just awesome! Go Marines!!
My late wonderful Dad served in the US Army Corps of Engineers in WW2. He spoke little about it, except when I asked once about whether he worked with other Engineers.
Then he couldn't stop talking about the great British engineers. They were the warmest, most generous, hardest working guys and he cherished the memories all b
his life.
May we always be worthy 3:52 of such steadfast friends.
Have trained at Lejeune off and on as an overseas guest. Always impressed and made welcome. The US Leathernecks and the British Bootnecks share much more than a similar nickname, I always felt.
The 2nd Marine Division Band is OUTSTANDING! So impressive with their marching precision and STILL not missing a note from Sousa's Classic.
Fantastic. The 2nd Divvy Band aquitted itself with distinction along with their compatriots.
Eyes front SALUTE! From a old British soldier, noble nation the Americans.
I knew an ex-Marine. He served honorably for two years and they tried hard to persuade him to stay. He could have had a highly successful career in the service, but his heart was not really in the military. Being in the Marines still had a profound impact on the rest of his life.
Fantastic..As the Marines are in every way. Thank you to the HM Royal Marines also. Salute to all.🇺🇸🇬🇧
There is only one word that can describe this performance, AWESOME !!!
I'm the very proud grandmother of two Marine's and a granddaughter in law in the Marine's
Outstanding!!! America will never forget the United Kingdom standing with us during our time of great need after the 9-11-01 attacks when you played our national anthem and during the conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq. 🇬🇧 🇺🇲
Absolutely Beautiful 🤩.. very great piece of music from Sir JP Sousa .. thank you to all for this wonderful moment .. love so much this
Sousa was an American; he was never knighted. He did though, pen some outstanding tunes
@@theblokevlog352 You are right. U.S. citizens are not permitted to be knighted or have any peerage bestowed on them.
@@johnblahuta8361 There are many US citizens who have honorary knighthoods - including several presidents and generals. They cannot style themselves "Sir" - or "Dame" in the case of a woman - but they can use the letters of the order after their names. Ronald Reagan and George H Bush, for example, were made Knights Grand Cross of the Most Honorable Order of the Bath--or GCB.
@@Tourist1967 Yes, but they could NOT use the title in the USA, though it was for real in the U.K. So you fly to the U.K. and become a knight or baron.
@@johnblahuta8361 Huuumm! I wonder why!
As a retired U.S. Army SNCO, my deepest respect to our Brothers and Sisters in Arms across the water. I have fond memories of shared hardships “ in the suck” with our British Comrades in Iraq and Afghanistan. Forever may we stand together! Rule Britannia! God Bless the United States!🇺🇸 🇬🇧
This is the music that I heard from my grandfather's clarinet, from the time that I was born, in 1938.
I used to march around the diningroom table. I still get goosebumps, and become quite emotional, listening to these fine marching bands, which takes me back to WW2. This is my favourite kind of music.
Great!! I’m Army 71-74 but loved it from Marine Corps band!!
Formação e evoluções perfeitas! Admirável coordenação, garbo arte e marcialidade jamais vista no mundo! Beautiful!...Gorgeous!...
And the composer, John Philip Sousa, was one of many Portuguese Americans to serve his country well. Felicidades de California! O senhor e Portuges? Ou talvez Brasileiro!!
How nice, I enjoyed this very much! A great band! A delightful combination for me, personally. My family on my father's side came to America from Britain in the 1700's. They were Quakers.
I dedicate this to my 5 uncles who fought in WW11, two were in England at the time. Also my grandfather was born in England, all of his sons born in the US fought in the war.
World War ELEVEN?!
I'm a US Navy vet but I LOVE the Marines!
My hubby was a Navy Medic stationed with the Marines for a time and he said they were a trip to be around. But...when it came to being serious, there were none better! They were the cream of the crop.
My cousin was/is a Marine (once a Marine, always a Marine) and when he put on those dress blues, he was a completely different person. You could see the tremendous pride he had. They have the best looking uniforms, too! JMHO
God bless all our military no matter which branch they represent!
My family is mostly Navy, but the 2nd highest branch we joined were the Marines. My great grandpa joined both, both are very badass.
Me too, never met one that showed disrespect. DD214 Excelsior
Love this! Very different from European military traditions, but wonderful to behold! Sousa didn't compose one single less than brilliant march and this is fantastically controlled playing (playing a wind instrument AND moving around is difficult), so elegant - in a strange way.. Well done!
Of all manner of music performances that I admire, the marching band is right at the top of my list.
Well done USMC. Very nice of you to pop over and see us. You're welcome anytime. Per Mare Per Terram / Semper Fi.
Outstanding parade !!
Love you all
May God bless you !
From Montevideo, Uruguay !!
Felt the chills on the Stars and Stripes!!! Terrific bands!!!
The Stars and Stripes Forever, my favourite Sousa march, beautifully performed. There is another great version by Mr. Aker Bilk and his Paramount Jazz Band from the 60's.
Motivate me! I spent almost 8 years in the Corps and got out in 1980. I still love it. I’m proud to say my three sons were also Marines. SEMPER FI!

For my Uncle "Gunny Bob" who fought in WWII (Silver Star at Guadalcanal), Korea, and Vietnam, I say thankyou. God Bless the USMC.
Sousa was great if you cant march to his music you cant march.
Nice rendition guys
Well, as an German guardsman I would be very confused marching to this since the drums and cymbals don’t constantly ,,beat the step“
@@Marco-bf4uu its still basic 4/4 time
Horse guards parade does suffer from echo and its a bit slower than usual in this rendition
Cannot get enough of our military bands. Perfection in every step. Awesome. Superior to any other. Thank you one and all.. This is so very inspiring..

Boy that was great. America is great. If that does not give you the giant goose bumps nothing will.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why we practice.

I loved watching this young marine corps band.they perform. Excellent
When it comes to cover and alignment you will find none better than the members of the US Marine Band. They accomplish this all while playing instruments at a very high level.
All marching hymns are my favorite songs beginning from the time I heard about these marvelous hymns.
Spectacular! Brilliant!
Great sound system whoever did it,thanks...
Wow. I recognize four people form the video! I was a former Marine Band musician, we all went to school together. This was back in 2011, and most of us left the Marine Corps after 2014.
수자(Sousa)는 미해병 군악대지휘관을 했다지요? 100곡이 넘게 그가 작곡한 행진곡 중엔 동영상에 들리는 The Stars and Stripes Forever가 있고요.
John Phillip SOUSA was the conductor of the U.S. Marine Band. Among more than 100 pieces of marching music he composed is "The Stars and Stripes Forever" that we now hear from this video. Up until the 19th century when we had no technology and skills to record music, the ordinary American people could not afford to enjoy going to the theaters to listen to the real-time musical performances or other shows. However, when the Marine Band marched through the streets, it used to be a very rare chance for the people to hear the real-time musical performances. Americans have loved the Marine Band more than any other military bands. Its performances are said to be artistically excellent, too.
Wonderful both bands playing together in unity and our shared bond w/ea other!
Semper Fi my fellow Marines. You make us all proud!!
Outstanding. Just love the Picolos.
Brilliantly performed immaculate drill.
Brody, what a spectacular talent you have, God has clearly blessed you. Your T-shirt is spot on.
BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So proud to have John Philip Sousa in the house! Best marches in the world!
Absolutely first class. Semper Fi.
Almost 50 years ago, I heard the US Navy Band perform this in the Sail Loft at the Washington Navy Yard. The band was on risers and the audience in folding chairs on the floor. Just before the final chorus, eight bandsmen with straight trumpets marched out, formed up, grinned and snapped their instruments up about a yard from the front row of the audience. At the first note of the chorus, we all TRIED to move back.
What an amazing band!
And just to be sure, this is NOT The President's Own. This is a Marine field band. From the size, most likely a combination of musicians from 2 field bands. The west coast bands combine 1st Marine Division, 29 Palms (stumps), 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing and San Diego recruit depot band every year for the Rose Parade. When we came back from Desert Storm (we being 1st Mar Div and 3rd Mar Aircraft Wing, then at El Toro) We were assigned as the very first unit in the parade and to my knowledge, that has now become tradition that the Rose Parade always starts with the Marine Corps color guard and combined Marine Band. Which means those Marines that did the parade in 1991 (all be it in a much reduced size) were the last to not march in that 1st position, IF they didn't. Good times. But GOD did I hate that parade. 6 1/2 miles in hard plastic corophram shoes. I marched that parade twice. Once completely sober, and once not so much. And both times I took off my shoes at the end and literally pured out the blood. I hated those damn shoes and always wore athletic socks under my black dress and it made it just bearable. But this group here did a fine job. It is nice to know the organization is in such capable hands all these years later. Man do I feel old.
His Majesty's Royal Marines were the fore runners of the US Marines. My late father fought in the Burma India Theatre.
Great sound. Good to see heads up on the march.
What a discipline! Awesome , great thank you! Bless you all! From France!
notice a distinct Marine step with the heel coming down first. great military and parade tradition. also uniforms are great in style.
Super good, what professionals, a fantastic march by J.F. Sousa and again those great flute players, marching on a square.
